    Walleye with broccolini and potatos

Stopped in for a midweek business dinner with friends and Shawn crushed it with the service - even working the bar at the same time! But not only was the service superb but the food was EXCELLENT! While our friends ordered the walleye and steak, my wife ordered the special of the day: a baked AND grilled chicken on a bed of rice with the tastiest curry we've ever had. I ordered the shrimp tacos BUT WAIT ... Substituted with baked walleye - absolutely heavenly along with the crispiest sweet potato tacos Definitely will be returning again for another amazing meal & great service

If it's the end of the world and you are looking to have 1 last beer... run/crawl past this place and take your chances. $14 per beer is a stretch anywhere, why pay that at a hotel restaurant/bar. The staff was amazing only because they wanted to make you have a happy face before you have your "check please" face. Maybe don't pay rent on bar sales. 6 draft tall beers... bill $94. Come on. We can do better

My work meetings are done for the week and it's time to go home! But first... lunch. So on the way to the airport I did some Yelp'ing and found this place to be highly rated. Cool, so here's how it went. Atmosphere/Appearance: Located deep inside the Marriott hotel near the Mall of America is this hidden gem usually reserved for those staying in the hotel. I'm a super Yelp'er so I'm not afraid to walk all up in a hotel to visit their restaurant even though I'm not staying there. Lol. This hotel has a private lot so you won't have any hassles parking your car. Once inside the main doors you walk straight until you see the entrance to the restaurant on the right. There really wasn't anything special about the decor and it was sort of your standard hotel restaurant. There is a section where you can sit and look out into the hallway if that's what you want to do. Service: Bambo was our server and he took excellent care of us. I have nothing to complain about whatsoever. Food: It was lunch so I wanted something a little lighter so I opted for the Asian Chicken Salad while adding an extra chicken breast. The salad consists of spicy grilled chicken, cucumber sticks, tomatoes, carrots, peppers, almonds, crispy wontons and served with mandarin dressing. It was absolutely fabulous. It was light, refreshing, delicious and full of flavor. I loved it and would totally get it again. Value: My salad ran me $18.00 and an extra $5.00 for the extra chicken. A $23.00 salad is pretty steep, but we're in a Marriott and you know how hotel food gets... In conclusion, I'm glad that I found this place to have a decent lunch before leaving the great state of Minnesota. I will be back!

I ordered the cheese burger and for $20.00 what a disappointment a McDonald's quarter pounder would have been twice as good and half the price. No flavor I am pretty sure it was a frozen pre made patty with no seasoning. The bartender was nice made a good cocktail but I would not eat at this place again.

I thoroughly loved the food here. I asked if I could switch my side dishes to the ones that came with the salmon and the waitress did exactly that. I got the blackened walleye with rice, veggies and buerre blanc. It was the most perfectly cooked fish I've had in a long time. Service was great too.

I don't usually eat at Hotel Restaurants. Only in certain circumstances where I arrive late at night and I'm too tired to go out or way too hangry to order delivery. So I came, I ordered to go and I got my food. The ahi tuna was pretty good. I couldn't eat meat that night since it was the Lenten season, but the salad definitely hit the spot. The balsamic dressing was really bity as well, which I like btw. Service was pretty good. We were well taken care of. But just a friendly reminder before I sign off. Make sure you ask for a proper menu from inside the restaurant. There's a lot more to select from in there than the one on display outside of the entrance. Thank you so much for reading my review. I hope this helps with your decision making experience. Enjoy your awesome yelptastic day!

Fantastic restaurant inside of the Marriott by the airport! Got in on a later flight and went for a few drinks and met Cheryl! She was fantastic! Had breakfast the next morning and had great customer service and very good food!

I asked for extra veggies with my hummus, after eating nothing but down home Minnesota cheese curds, pancakes, beer, etc etc all week!!!

This restaurant is inside the Marriott Hotel (near the airport)....I missed my flight so Southwest paid for me to stay here. The people at this restaurant made me feel so welcome and so well taken care of! I was shocked at how quality their menu is---and wine selection! What a high end restaurant for being inside a hotel---I was super impressed. Mary waited on me twice and went out of her way to bring me a huge spread of veggies with my hummus plate (I told her I had been eating "nothing but cheese and meat for four days".... I'll be carrying back this spirit of kindness and genuine hospitality with me back to my own salon, where I also serve people all day. It takes a lot to show up and just be kind day in and day out---but this level of service, combined with high quality food/drinks, makes this place shine above the rest!

The food was good, but the waiter gave himself a 30% tip when I paid in cash. It created a very uncomfortable situation.

Perfect for a date night, friend catch-up, or solo Whiskey adventure, Volstead House is a vibe! Pair the atmosphere with top notch, educated bartenders and mixologists...you know you'll be taken care of! We started with the A La Louisiane, a spirit-forward, whiskey cocktail with some funk from Peychauds and Absinthe. It was delicious and well balanced. We also shared the Glazed Carrots and the Parm Fries. The carrots didn't hit for me, as the glaze and sauce lacked a punch of flavor but the fries were crispy and delicious. If you have a spirit enthusiast or someone that likes to explore the world of cocktails, I think this is the perfect vibe!

First off, going through the hidden Coke machine entrance is actually really fun and makes the whole place feel like a little adventure. The decor and speakeasy atmosphere are definitely the standout. Very cool space. VERY loud though. Like "lean across the table and say WHAT?" loud at times. The waitress was super nice and recommended a mocktail for me that called Ass in the Sand. It ended up being really good. It tasted like an elevated lemonade and was probably one of my favorite parts of the meal. Started with the rolls and whipped honey butter which were delicious. Very soft, warm, and honestly dangerous because I could've just kept eating bread all night. For the main meal, I did the Wagyu Burger with Parmesan fries. The burger itself was okay but surprisingly didn't have a ton of flavor outside of the grilled/charred taste. The Parmesan fries were actually the standout for me -- hand cut fries and parmesan fries are just hard to mess up. My partner tried the Mushroom Soup en Croute and wasn't a fan because the mushrooms were blended and he said it lacked flavor. He also had a Steak Taco special using their medallion steak and said even with lime it still needed more flavor. Finished with Crème Brûlée which is always a classic favorite for me and this one was good. Overall: fun experience, cool hidden entrance, great decor, good mocktail and bread, but the actual food menu is pretty limited and the flavors didn't totally wow me for the price. Glad I went and finally crossed it off my list, but probably a one-and-done visit for me.

The inside of the bar is pretty small and felt a bit cramped, especially with how busy it was on a Sunday. I stopped by for dinner on a Tuesday and it was pleasantly busy. My server Addison was right there to answer questions about the menu. I (of course) ordered the Reuben and three sides. I expected the sides to be small and I was surprised at how large they were. And they all were outstanding. The onion rings were large, thick, and crispy. A side order has about a dozen rings. The crock of mac & cheese has a delightful kick and when I asked Addison about it she said they make it with their queso. The bowl of Cowboy beans also has a kick and a nice smokiness. While I was eating, both managers - Amy and Jeff - stopped by to see how I was enjoying my meal, which was nice. Finally, the Reuben. I was pleased to see the corned beef was shredded but unfortunately it was very dry and tough. I wanted to cut one half into two pieces but I couldn't with my table knife. The flavor was good, the marble rye nicely grilled. It could have used a LOT more sauerkraut because the meat:kraut ratio was meat heavy.
