I went to the Mall of America over spring break and stoped at Wahlburgers for lunch. Great spot for a burger and fries. The whole chains is designed with the Wahlberg's movies, shows, and other accomplishments. It was fun to look around and notice some of my faves represented. The food was delicious. I would recommend their BBQ burger (Donnie's pick). The burger was grilled very well and the avocado and bbq sauce was surprisingly a great combo. Our server was great. Came in on the 4th of July weekend so it was pretty slow inside and I was able to get a spot at the bar. Bartenders were nice enough but also focused a lot more on the staff that was eating/drinking after their shift at the end of the bar than the actual patrons. Food was ok, I wasn't super hungry so I ordered the Cesar salad and truffle fries. The salad doesn't come with much dressing, just a drizzle on top, so I did ask for extra. It was a standard Caesar salad. The truffle fries were really good and would definitely order again. Overall, not a bad sit down restaurant in the mall. I would say this place is a tourist trap tucked inside mall of America. The food is definitely not worth the hype. Lines used to be crazy when it first opened but it was a busy Saturday and we were sat right away. Service was ok, depends on who you get for a server but ours was just fine. Food took a while to come out, it tasted ok. I definitely was expecting a bigger juicier burger but these were so small and nothing really special about them. We were all starving and this just did not hit the spot. Fries were just decent, not the best I've had. I did enjoy the thin onion rings the best though. I tried the combo that came with the shake and was disappointed there was barely any strawberry flavor to it. It looked white still, also it took so long for the shake to come out my food was almost gone and I almost forgot about it. Prices aren't bad though, you can get a whole combo for less than $20. There's no need to come back here when shake shack is right upstairs and that is a much better burger. I would still buy the walhlburger patties they sell at hyvee and make it myself. Stopped in here last night-not even half full on a busy Sat night in the mall. This place has unfortunately gone downhill since it opened. Our server was new and so I will cut her some slack for being inattentive. Food took awhile to arrive and she never brought us our place settings as promised. We had to get up and get our own napkins. The other staff that brings out the food were so confused. We watched as they continued to bring food to the wrong tables. The person that brought out our food -went to a different table and when I flagged her down- no comment or inquiry if we needed anything else. How about a chart with table assignments so they can check before coming out! Ok- now the food. Patty melt- burger/cheese and PICKLES between two pieces of TOAST. It did not appear to be toasted on the grill.The burger was falling out of sandwich when you picked it up-due to the shape and size compared to the bread. this is long, buckle up. Walked in and waited at the host stand, despite the fact that it wasn't busy. We saw MANY open tables. Fine, whatever. We get seated, wait a few minutes for waitress. Cool, that's fine too. When she comes, we immediately order drinks and appetizer, and I ask if I can try the sweet jalapeño sauce. She says she has to ask the kitchen. I don't think it's unreasonable to try a unique sauce ahead of time, but okay. She comes back a minute later with no word on the sauce...okay then. Fine. We order. Then we proceed to wait. Almost half an hour later, our appetizer (fried pickles) come out. Theyre almost cold. Theyre hard. My daughter's drink is gone, no refill. Husband finishes his water, no refill. Husband moves cups and cold pickles to edge of table. Waitress walks by several times and doesn't acknowledge our table. She finally comes over and ask if we want refills, we say yes. Then she's distracted by the pickles, and we tell her theyre cold. She sets cups down, takes the pickles to get fresh ones. Okay, so no refills I guess. She brings out fresh pickles. They are hard as a rock, but hot. Now the food comes out. She finally brought refills at the same time. She asks about the new pickles. I said theyre hard and I just didn't expect it. She asks if we want fresh ones.....but I thought these were fresh ones?? So I declined. We start eating, we realize the food isn't hot. Whatever, we eat it anyway - we waited over half an hour for this food, with an empty restaurant. Cups are empty again, we move them to the edge again. Walks by several times without acknowledging again. Finally she acknowledges us, we ask for napkins and silverware as well - we've been using our drink napkins to wipe our faces. Our table slowly begins emptying as the bus boy takes empty plates when he walks by. Now we're sitting at an empty table with the waitress walking back and forth without giving us our bill. When I tell you that I am FLABBERGASTED and will never enter a wahlburgers again, I mean it. The most horrible restaurant experience I've had in a long time. We considered leaving after waiting with empty cups for SO long, but we stayed. bad choice. I haven't had anything at all objectionable here. I think if you're at the Mall of America and you want burgers, this is a reasonable option. The prices are even not too bad. Bear in mind that a burger won't come with fries automatically; it's a separate item, charged separately. This last time I got a side of bacon mac & cheese instead and it was quite yummy. There are a few different sauces referenced on different burgers on their menu, and I never end up noticing them. Last time I was in (July 2025) I was seated and served quickly and congenially; I've had long waits on busier days and it doesn't seem worth a long wait. There are still some things on their menu I'd like to try, and I noticed that they have alcohol-infused dessert drinks, like shakes with vodka I think. Alright so the food was pretty good, just not the kids meal hot dog. We had a miscommunication or misunderstanding with our server about food allergies where I informed him we have allergies, asked about ingredients, then when he came back after a long wait when I verified that the bun was not cooked with butter he told me I needed to tell him beforehand which I had already done. So that was annoying but he was otherwise good and seemed to be the only server working. The meatball sliders were great. Had a late lunch at Wahlburgers in the Mall of America. They had a very limited staff but the service was very good. I ordered a burger that had two patties, teriyaki sauce and a slice of pineapple. So sad to see this place go downhill. We arrived to an empty restaurant and were greeted by an enthusiastic hostess. Our server was really nice, but was really inattentive. While waiting for our food, I heard the distinct sound of a taser being deployed. Being we were at the Mall of America, you never know. But I saw the bartender/other server was showing our server his "taser" and was activating it over and over. That was extremely annoying and unprofessional. I got the slider trio and the hubby got a fish sandwich. He specifically asked for "bun, fish and cheese". I go back and forth on whether or not I want to eat meat. When my endometriosis flares up I usually avoid meat. I actually feel so much better, but sometimes I just want a burger. We decided to head to Wahlburgers in the Mall of America for dinner one night. I had heard so many good things about the Impossible Burgers and they had one. It's busy but their waiters are efficient and kind. It's in the mall on the 4th floor with most of the other food. We got a seat inside so we could tune out the mall. It was quiet and clean. What's an Impossible Burger? It's an amazing plant burger that tastes just like meat! It was seriously so good. He enjoyed his burger too. It was big and filling. I loved that I felt like I was eating meat, but didn't have the regret or tummy issues after. I was also able to order the burger just the way I wanted it with the toppings I like. Chicken was good loved the buffalo sauce you can't go wrong. Don't get the blue cheese sauce, it's terrible, opt for ranch! I'm a big fan of blue but this tasted way off. The burger patties and tots were definitely lacking in salt. My partner got a side of the bacon mac & cheese which he said was pretty good a few years ago. We both found it to be bland as heck, no salt, really no flavor. Which is a shame. First time at the Mall of America in the afternoon after landing in Minneapolis, and my first visit to a Wahlburgers! There are a few in Northern California where I'm from but closer to the SF Bay Area. I'll admit that the cardboard cutouts outside the main entrance caught my eye, and I fully appreciate the punny name. Seated promptly, solo diner, server Zoe L. Being my first official meal in Minnesota, I absolutely had to start with the cheese curds appetizer (with such proximity to Wisconsin, how could I not?!), and the Juicy Lucy burger (also invented in Minneapolis, but original is spelled without the "i"). I also got a Cherry Coke "pop" to drink, free refills. Did not try one of the milkshakes but they sounded yummy. Chose sweet potato tots rather than fries as the burger side too. The cheese curds came out first and they were tasty! The Tomato Jam is far superior to tomato ketchup. Curds were pretty filling even for my ambitious stomach. The Juicy Lucy was perfect temperature -- didn't have to worry about the cheese oozing out like hot lava upon first bite. Interesting that it was two 1/3 lb. burger patties stuffed with Swiss & Government cheeses, Worcestershire sauce served with [shredded] lettuce & mayo. The only other time I'd had a Jucy Lucy was one big patty with the cheese literally inside as a stuffed core, at the Delta concourse at MSP. The sweet potato tater tots were so good, although after one refill of my pop, the entire basket of curds and the burger, I could barely finish the tots! I did burn off all the calories by spending the next 4 hours exploring the mall. Great service! First time visit to Wahlburgers and LOVED it! Whilst visiting Minneapolis we found ourselves yearning for some sustenance as we shopped till we dropped in the Mall of America. We found this spot near the food court area and only waited about 15 minutes for a booth. After perusing the menu, the wife and chose a variety of items to truly sample the offerings. We started with the cheese curds 5/5 and the bacon wontons 5/5. Then moved onto the slider trio where we tried the wahl-apeno burger 5/5, the BBQ bacon burger 5/5 and the PB&J burger (I know right???) but had to try it 4/5. Bottomless refills and pleasant staff. Can't wait to come back and try other menu items. Tip: The housemade shakes were being made next to us and they looked delicious. Sadly, we had no room for dessert! We were visiting the mall for the first time and being a big fan of burgers I'm always interested in chains - Wahlburgers is new to us and inexistant in Canada. I read the menu and looked at pics before going so had a good idea of what to expect. We arrived on a Saturday right at their opening (11am), were seated and served without delay. We tried the PB&J burger as well as a double decker cheeseburger with sides of tater tots and onion rings. We wanted the mac and cheese initially as a side but were told it wasn't ready, so beware if you come right at opening, the kitchen might not be ready for you yet. You can request additional sauce on the side, perfect for dipping - I got the Wahl sauce which is kind of like a big mac sauce I suppose as well as the honey garlic mayo. Portion is generous - the fried tater toes and onion rings will definitely fill you up. I loved that these onion rings were very thin, red onions, kind shaped dainty shoestring french fries. They aren't your common thick rings with a heavy batter. My double decker burger was delicious, cooked to my liking - you can decide on the cook when ordering. However the lettuce in this didn't look very fresh, some bits were soggy or brown. The PB&J burger was a bit dissapointing. We expected something sweet and decadent, but the PB used is not sweetened it seems and there was almost no jelly. The burger didn't deliver on a classic PB&J sandwich flavor. Sweetened versus unsweetened peanut butter makes a huge difference. It just tasted overall nutty. The vibe of the place is kind of like a casual sports bar - it's modern, clean and even has a "patio" section where you can sit outside of the restaurant and in the mall area so you get a good view of shoppers. In terms of menu selection, location, ambiance and price - everything is OK, but the flavors and freshness of some ingredients could be improved. read more

I can't speak for other locations however, based on our experience earlier tonight, I will never visit a Wahlburgers again. The service was horrible. After we were seated we waited more than 20 minutes...no server ever arrived. We finally went and asked the hostess if there was a server for our table, someone finally came. The food took over 45 minutes and yet the restaurant wasn't even 1/2 full. We were a party of 4 plus a toddler. Some of the hot food was actually cold and the "shakes" were like liquid water. I'm honestly surprised this place is still in business. If you go, be prepared for terrible service and incredibly average food. For the two brothers that act, keep it up...I don't see your restaurant business seeing much success unless your business practices change dramatically. read more

This place has such a cool vibe with a lot of bar seating, indoor seating( booth, table and high top) and an "outdoor" patio. Since you are located inside the Mall of America, it isn't really outdoors but it is still fun! There are a fair amount of TV's to watch as well! The food was very tasty! The burgers were not overly thick, so they really just melt in your mouth. I also enjoyed the sweet potato tots! They have a pretty good menu of dipping sauces! The signature sauce to me tastes like a creamy Arbys sauce. The honey garlic mayo was a favorite of the group! Our server was very nice and checked on our table periodically.
