RC and I decided to try this restaurant because I've been eyeing it since it opened back when I drank bourbon. I don't drink anymore, so I get to focus on the food. We ordered the Candied Bacon flight to share; the menu listed the bacon flight flavors (whiskey jalapeño BBQ, roasted chile brown sugar, honey mustard, 4-pepper blend) and the 8 large, thick slices looked inviting but we had no idea which pieces were which flavor. *Management Suggestion: Get little toothpicks or flags so diners know what they're tasting!* That said, while I tried two pieces I thought looked good and I enjoyed them, RC munched through them unaware they were different flavors, lol. My take: they were ok. I also ordered the French Onion soup as I love trying different restaurants' take on it. Five stars for the soup, it was absolutely delicious. A thick piece of crusty bread topped with melted cheese that dripped over the crock topped rich, delicious caramelized onions and just enough beef stock to be able to call it soup. Banging. For our mains, RC ordered ribs with a side of Buffalo Brussels Sprouts. The ribs had good flavor but were definitely not fall-off-the-bone; more like saw from the bone. We both love Brussels but the beef-tallow fried sprouts with Buffalo sauce and caked in melted bleu cheese crumbles were not good. If you don't like Brussels, you might like these because any sprout flavor was overwhelmed by the bleu cheese. For my main I tried the braised Short Rib Ravioli, generous ravioli in a very rich cream sauce then topped with (I think) bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes. I ate one raviolo and it wasn't for me. I thought the filling was bland and the sauce didn't meld with the flavor. I didn't eat it, the manager came to apologize and ask if I wanted something else, but RC was close to finished and I declined. Good on them for taking it off my bill without me asking. Service was five star, atmosphere nice, although the huge flat screens everywhere were a distraction lacking sound or captions. Brick and Bourbon is a great spot for fun drinks and good food with friends! I ordered the bourbon burger and subbed the patty for a vegetarian one instead & took out the bacon. I was really bummed to learn that the fried onion on the burger & some of their other fried foods are done so with beef tallow and therefore aren't vegetarian/vegan friendly. This includes the French fries & buffalo Brussels sprouts which was a huge bummer and took me by surprise as many of the foods I thought were vegetarian were not. This is the primary reason I'm giving it a 3/5 instead of 5/5. I am extremely grateful to our wonderful waitress for bringing this to my attention ahead of time and helping guide me to which menu items were still vegetarian friendly but found my options to be a lot more limited. Every specific ingredients like the fried pickled jalapeños, pepperjack cheese, and habanero sauce all complement each other perfectly, from both flavor and texture. Waiters are friendly, and I have no complaints about the food besides the fact that it's a little pricey but I think it's worth it for the quality and experience. The person who answered let me know they were seating a party of 30 at that time and suggested coming at 5:30 or 6:30 instead. We went at 5:30 and were seated right away--great service! the system currently in place to have larger parties is terrible. we found the manager to be extremely arrogant and argumentative. Could have cared less if we stayed or left the establishment. Second manager never even approached us, and neither tried.... At all to accommodate. we stayed for the astonishing long wait, as it was our daughter s choice and a very important day for her. The food was really good, and our waiter was great. We told him so. But as for a return to the place? We don't think that will be in the future. When the managers of an establishment could car less about a large party of customers spending a great deal of money at said restaurant.... My friends have been recommending this place since it opened so I had all the right recommendations ready for my first trip. 1. Crispy Buffalo Brussels Sprouts AMAZING 10/10 flavors, great texture and spice. Loved the blue cheese crumbles and the ranch was to die for 2. Wings We tried half Tennessee Fire and half Dry Ambassador. Both were very very good. The wings were huge and bursting with flavor, and perfectly cooked. 3. Plain Jane Burger The burger was great. Nice presentation, thoughtfully crafted, with a nice side of fries. Just what you've been craving. 4. Birthday Cake Slice We visited for my brother's birthday and they treated him to a slice of cake to celebrate. I tried a bite and it was DELISH. We also tried a bunch of drinks and loved everything. Always a wonderful experience at Brick and Bourbon! This location has become a frequent spot for me and my friends. The staff are always very friendly and the food is yet to disappoint! This time around my friend and I shared a bourbon flight which is always a fun experience. I also tried a new drink on their menu, the Double Entendre Martini. This martini consists of vodka, rosé, champagne, and actual cotton candy! I was a bit worried that it would be too sweet, but the rosé and brut champagne are both decently dry so they balance out the sugar nicely. It was super fun getting to pour the martini over the cotton candy and watch it dissolve and change the drink color. While we didn't have much to eat I did try the Beer Brat and Cheese Soup Boule for the first time and O.M.G. It was delicious! This soup is perfect for a cold winter day. It's rich and creamy with savory brat pieces, served in a bread bowl. If you're calorie counting this probably wouldn't be an ideal option for you, however if you want some tasty comfort food I would highly recommend it! read more

I visited Brick and Bourbon in Eden Prairie and ordered the Big Cheese Burger with a Beyond patty substitution and a bourbon old fashioned prepared with Buffalo Trace. The burger came out really well even substituted from a plant-based option to regular patty, and the flavors all came together really well. The old fashioned was well made--smooth, balanced, and did a good job of presenting the Buffalo Trace in the drink; its definitely my favorite bourbon. The atmosphere of the location is lively but yet relaxed-feeling as well. Service was attentive without feeling too pushy as well. It seems like a good location whether you're visiting just to have a casual evening of dinner or to come in to have cocktail drinks as well as just have a menu that has some interesting options to choose from. I would suggest it if you're in the location seeking good eats and good cocktail drinks. Rolled up to the place about 1:15pm on a Saturday. There was a major Art in the Park event at the park adjacent to this location. Note: I will prelude that this particular moment and day was important for me - some members or my family and my boyfriend's family were meeting up. Wanted things to be special and there was a little nervousness mixed it. So maybe I'm hyper critical of the nerves of first introductions - but I was bummed this place let me down. From the start: Hostess was NOT super approachable and kind. Issue 1: From the road you can see there was an open air cement patio. We have NOT been there before and wanted to have the dog on the patio like many other establishments in the cities do. It's not the issue we couldn't have the dog - it was just the way it was relayed. Issue 2: We had a larger party and wanted to connect tables. It was harshly relayed they don't move tables because the bases are heavy. Again it was the delivery that bothered me the most. Issue 3: We entered through the wrong door trying to get sat on the patio. We found the front with ease and did the normal things you do at a restaurant and waited. Still more attitude and tone from the same person. The hostess is the face of the restaurant and set a vibe. This particular person was having a bad day or something. For me and this dinning experience it was such a let down to start the experience off with that attitude. The food and waiter were just okay. The whiskey drinks seemed to be enjoyed by the folks at the table. Out of our party no one seemed blown away besides a teenager with her three cheese macaroni. Cinnamon roll for brunch wasn't a thumbs up by anyone at the table worker. Prices were okay to above average. TL;DR -Food and server was just okay at 3.25 stars -Would only recommend to someone that likes whiskey and bourbon - besides that it was a very forgettable experience. It's not easy for me to write this, but I've been here at least half a dozen times either with my wife, family, or coworkers. Each time it's something different. Despite the folks in the back consistently serving up great food with a varied and imaginative menu, the front of house and staffing situation has really struggled. One star because the food really is good, otherwise I'd give zero. Maybe it's because they've all gone deaf from the horrible acoustics. You can't hear the person sitting across the table from you and apparently the wait staff can't hear you either. Maybe it's because they're constantly moving at 100mph trying to manage two floors and a patio and a bar. Just staff a couple more waiters maybe? What you get consistently is missing drinks you ordered 15 minutes ago, no refills on your drinks, huge delays between taking your order for your drinks and your appetizers. If you weren't quite ready after scouring an extensive drink menu, for which you find out they're not even offering those items yet, you're just SOL, it'll be another 15 minute wait until they swing back around your table at light speed. Who puts items on the menu that aren't even being served yet? When you've just finished your entree, they'll swing by with a check and run it quick, then zoom off in the other direction absent any empathy for what they know was poor service. This experience has spanned over a year and half for me. When things have gone poorly I've said something and management has comped items. But I'm not going to keep coming back and requesting comps. It's clear things aren't getting better and for that reason I think it'll be a long time before I consider coming back. read more

They have an interesting variety of foods - many of which are a unique take on a classic dish. We loved the duck bacon wontons (got them twice), and the burgers were good. I went for it and got the pb&jay - it was honestly not what I expected and exactly what I expected. The bun was like a bun, but the outside was like a donut and there was a hole in the middle. The jam was tart with a little kick to it. I'm not a huge fan of peanut butter and it wasn't overpowering at all (like some dishes can be). It was delicious! And nearly just as good as cold leftovers the next day. If you're thinking about getting it - just go for it!
