Bite Away is said to be an owner opperated business. I scheduled an appointment over the phone. for a Tuesday, on Monday technician showed up but I was not home and the following day when actually appointment was scheduled they were a no show. I complained to Female office manager. the following day my property manager stated that Bite Away complained to them about me being a no show for our appointment. I called Bite Away to inquire and was called a lier, manager stated she went back and listened to a recording of scheduling phone call and stated her recording did not support my claim. Here in California we are an All Party Concent State for recording phone calls for them to record phone calls all parties must be aware of recording prior to recording. Totally agree with the review stating they fake repairs with caulk & paint. They also have no problem increasing the price a couple thousand midway through. Their disclaimers they force you to sign before doing work are pretty alarming as well, i.e. they are not accountable for any damage they do when putting on or removing the tent. I called the fire dept. to have it removed, they came quickly but it was almost to my front door by the time they got here. I had Paul come out to our home in Ramona. We noticed a plethora of ants in the home and cockroaches at night in our yard. Paul came and diagnosed our issues and did a full interior and exterior spray. We haven't seen any evidence of return and it's been 2 months. Along with the actual service Paul is amazingly friendly to people but more so animals. He was very sweet to our overly anxious dog. They tented our apartment building which I guess went ok but I believe that they did not clear our apartment properly before letting us back in. The apartment reaked when we were allowed back in. I turned on fans to help and left for a bit. This morning I woke up with my throat on fire and coughing up weird mucous all day. I called poison control and you can tell their budget has been slashed. I think that they failed to properly check our apartment and the attic. We have let our apartment manager know so she can warn her other tenants. They are supposed to put all clear notice on each door, that did not happen. He was just trying to leave them in a pile but our manager got him to at least do the absolute minimum. read more

Bite Away was just fantastic and took care of our ant problems! For years we had ants that would just appear in our house after it rained. They would be upstairs, then downstairs, then in the sink. Found out they were in our walls. Art made magic happen and we have not found signs of ants anywhere in our house. Stay away from this company! Dishonest and poor craftsmanship. Cut corners and essentially committed fraudulent construction practices. I will be contacting BBB and the licensing board. But buyers be aware of what you get, or don't get!!! This company was hired to provide remediation for termite and wood rot to satisfy our FHA loan new home purchase. They charged ~$7500 for their work. When I reviewed the job, they did not even replace half of the issues that they charged us for. I have asked for receipts where materials where purchased and they have yet to provide. They stated they replaced $1000s of dollars of material, when in fact they just painted or applied shorty caulking. I have contacted both Terry and Aaron Williams to give them a chance to re-do the work ethically and accurately. I will keep you apprised if that ever happens. read more

We had termite droppings on a window sill, so we called Bite Away. They sent someone out the next day to confirm that termites were active in the wall. We live in a fourplex, so fumigation was not an option due to the neighbors. Bite Away was able to treat for termites in just that area. We haven't had a problem since. They came out and did an inspection for my sale. Angel pointed out several areas that needed to be replaced. He said I had "severe" damage and gave me an estimate of $1300 for tenting and $900 for wood repair. I was shocked to see that they only replaced some obvious damage, ignored what they could, faked repairs by painting wood that was already there and omitted what would have been the most expensive parts of the wood replacement on my patio cover. Angel clearly marked with an x to be replaced. See pictures. I will be filing a complaint with the Structural Pest Control Board, but I wanted to warn others that this company subcontracts their wood repair and fumigation and I feel ripped off by being told something was necessary, paid for it and then they failed to perform. The staff was very professional and let us know that we are having a termite issue. There was more damage than I realized as he was going over the areas and other areas I had not noticed. This company did a tenting of our neighbor's house and when we asked their representative when the tent would be removed, he stated it would be noon on a specific day. We planned to vacate our home during this procedure but when we looked out on the morning of, the tent had been removed. The representative also did not tell us that the vent caps would be removed the day prior and the air was think with toxicity on that day. The tent was very loose during the time it was up and we were told that "pricing" was why this company was chosen. Upon research, companies that charge less, use less of the gassing agent, thus not completely finishing the job as the gas is heavier than air and settles low not covering the attic or crawl space. If you want termite control, this is NOT the company to choose! read more

Chemicals sprayed in my apartment were incredibly strong, my neighbors were complaining, and they claimed that people can inhabit their homes the same day?!-- terrible. Very impressed with the men of Bite-Away. Had them out to perform some termite treatment of the attic. When they set up the equipment, they took pains to assure the noise wouldn't disturb my little dog. And they made sure to set up their equipment off of the new carpet to avoid dirtying it. While on-site, they noticed the furnace install work going on. They inquired about whether this work would circulate the attic air as they didn't want to vent the termite treatment from attic to the rest of the house. I was called by Rodney the day before asking why I wanted a quote being they did an inspection 3 years ago and I stated, we have termites. Someone from Bite Away came out the next day and did the inspection. He told us the quote and report would come via email. We waited a week and no email. My husband then called the company,left a voice message with our phone never and nobody called back. It has been over three weeks and never have heard back fr the company.
