I am giving Green Flash 2 stars based on a severely rushed recent inspection and the poor quality…read moreof their past repair work. Recently, I had them come out because I suspected termites in one of our rafter tails. To their credit, they correctly identified that specific spot as just fungus and didn't try to oversell me on treatments I didn't need. However, their inspection was incredibly brief. They spent only a few minutes scanning the house, didn't check the attic at all, and gave us the all-clear. A couple of days later, I had a second company come out for another look. They spent almost an hour doing a thorough inspection and found a severe termite infestation in a different rafter tail that was almost entirely hollowed out. They spotted the signs right through the paint. Green Flash completely missed this. On top of the missed inspection, the wood rot repairs Green Flash did for us 5 years ago (costing about $1,200) have both failed and need to be redone. They spliced a rafter tail that is now loose, and it turns out they miscut a replacement barge board on the back of the house. To cover up the bad cut, they glued a scrap piece of wood over it, which has since detached and is currently hanging off the board. Bottom line: They failed to do a thorough termite inspection, and their carpentry work doesn't hold up. I highly recommend getting a second opinion on their inspections and hiring a dedicated specialist for any actual wood repairs.

I have been a customer of Homeshield for years and have had various services - wood rot treatment, monthly pest and rodent service, rodent exclusion treatment. My parents also have Homeshield service their home because of my referral. I want to make it clear that the technicians who service my house continue to be great. My usual technician is Julio and he's always super friendly, on time, and does a great job. My issues in the last few months pertain only to the call center and billing. In April I was charged for my monthly service even though no technician came out to service my house. I called Homeshield to let them know and they indicated I would not be charged for June. When June came, I was still charged for June so I had to call back to ask once again for money back. The call center indicated that I called too late before they processed the payment so the charge would fall off my July billing. At the beginning of July I called Homeshield to schedule my monthly treatment because I was going to be out of town. I informed the call center that I was going to be out of town and that was the reason for me scheduling my monthly service. The call center was able to get my monthly pest service schedule before I left, the call center did not indicate that I had a separate rodent treatment schedule for July 24. I left the country and while on my trip I got a text that my house would be serviced on July 24. I was pretty confused because I thought I had my house serviced and I even told the call center I would be out of town. Due to the 9 hour time difference I had to tell my brother to call Homeshield to cancel the appointment. On July 22, my brother informed me that he canceled my appointment and notified Homeshield that I would call to reschedule. On July 24, I got a text from the technician that he was about 30 minutes from my house to perform the service. I had to respond via text that I had cancelled my appointment and apologize that the call center did not inform him that I had cancelled. I am not too sure what is causing the breakdown in communication but I honestly feel terrible for these technicians not being informed of things. It also doesn't sit right with me that I have to apologize to the technician not for anything I did, but for the breakdown in communication caused directly by the call center. I also am not sure what is happening with the scheduling since before the no show incident in April I had technicians service my house every single month without issue. Update: Bryana from Homeshield called me on August 5 to learn more about the breakdown in billing, communication, and scheduling. She was really friendly, professional, and apologetic. I felt like she was not calling simply for me to fix my review but actually listened and wanted to make sure that as a customer I felt that things were remedied. She thoroughly explained my services and what Homeshield was going to do to help make everything right. She also informed me that she was going to reach out to my dad to make sure his experience as a customer was great. Overall, I am really happy with how Homeshield handled remedying the situation to ensure that I continued to receive better services in regards to billing and scheduling.

Just found out today that I have been continuing to be charged for services that are not rendered…read more We're in the middle of a huge landscape upgrade and didn't need any service for past couple of months. I had mentioned to Darla to skip service because of this, and will resume when ready. But just noticed that I have been continued to be auto charged ($87 each time) good thing I looked as I was getting ripped off. Very surprised of this as I'd mentioned this for multiple months to get ahead of this situation and give HomeShield as much communication as possible. It is crappy feeling to have my money taken like that I called in and spoke with Luca and he was helpful in telling me that I'll get credited back for 2 months, and will have CC on hold so not charged. That made me feel good. He said I'd get confirmation email in a few minutes but it's been nearly 2 hours and no email and my CC still showing no credit/refund. They are happy to auto charge me, but cannot accommodate their current customers with the ability to pause service, causing additional headache for me I'll see if there is anything worth updating if/when it happens. otherwise will go straight to credit card company and dispute charges...I don't have time to keep going back to HomeShield to check if they did their work right Still considering if I will continue with HomeShield once I need service again; but I figure I'll have better choice when that time comes UPDATE: after reading other review of not being able to cancel service, I called right back and spoke with Patricia. I asked to cancel service, but she could not do so and had to transfer me to other department and ask me to hold for "2 minutes". After 2 minutes, she came back on saying no one could talk to me to cancel. Seriously?? I asked if I can get her my verbal authorization to relay my cancel message to someone. No can do, so I have to wait for someone to call me back so I can say "CANCEL" really frustrated now...

Soooo much better than the large companies - we tried two different large companies before this that were terrible, they would do a decent job on initial visit then on next scheduled visit would be on the property for less than 5 minutes and say they didn't have supplies they needed and would come back - then never did. Had to threaten a lawsuit to get out of contract because the other place did such a bad job and didn't take care of the issues we were paying them for. Verde on the other hand took care of all rodent and insect issues, and the regular maintenance visits are thorough, they are always prepared, and we've never had any insect or rodent issues since.

The products they use to deter pests are not only superior and effective, but they are environmentally friendly - safe around your little ones and furry friends. I am always given clear instructions to allow the spray to dry up before letting pets and kids roam (usually about 20 minutes or so). I've used their services for about a year and would recommend them over all others. They have been responsive during times of increased pest activity and their routine services are timely and effective (for my needs where I stay, I typically have them come by quarterly during the cold months and monthly when it's warmer). Finally, the smile that you see in the photos from the owner is actually a perfect reflection of how Ray and his team interact with their customers. They're pleasant, professional, kind, courteous and a pleasure to do business with.

When I called AIPM for a second opinion, I was greeted by a very knowledgeable and polite gentleman named Jordan. He spent nearly an hour inspecting our home (for free!) and shared there were 3 locations on side that needed treatment and the situation was not bad enough to require tenting. I asked a slew of question and he answered all of than knowledgeably. We then scheduled an appointment where Jorge, with over 10 years experience came to do the work. He was incredible and as he said, "small and nimble enough" to get up/over/around all the beams to treat areas and do a second inspection in others. He then cared entire attic with a Borax (sp?). It was a very reasonable price and I get a free inspection in 11 months to ensure no new termites, or the work is free. Highly recommend!

My house still had the original, gross insulation from the 1950s, and Brian and his crew came in and completely removed everything, cleaned and sanitized the entire attic, and installed new R-38 batt insulation. After recommending him to other people for so long, it was great to finally experience their work firsthand. Brian and his team were awesome. They showed up when they said they would, worked hard, kept everything clean, and did a really thorough job. You can tell they actually care about the quality of their work and aren't just trying to get in and out as quickly as possible. I'm extremely happy with how everything turned out and feel even better about all the people I've referred to him over the years. Let me start this review by saying you really don't want to ever have to call these guys. That…read moresaid, accidents happen, like maybe you're fooling around near the side of your house and you gently tap the "inspector's test valve" for your sprinkler system. Suddenly all heck breaks loose and you've now got several walls full of water. After realizing exactly what I had done (the fire alarm helped me understand), I called around all the big name companies that do this sort of water damage repair. The quotes I got were ridiculously HIGH. I decided to go local and gave Moe and his team (read: family) a call. Not only could they fit me into their schedule quickly, but they are also a one stop shop, meaning, when they leave your house, it looks just like it did before you broke your sprinkler pipe. Most of those big name companies require you to get someone else to do the drywall/painting part. All the Mold Safe guys that worked on the job were not only related to each other, they were also great workers and great people. They kept everything clean and showed up when they said they would. They kept me in the loop as to what was being done and explained anything I asked questions about. They dried the walls, cut out and replaced the wet drywall and added the matching orange peel texture when they did the final painting. Color matched, perfect finish. And when Ted was finished fixing the hole in the stucco left by the sprinkler system guy (yeah, it has to be a certified professional who fixes anything to do with your sprinkler system, not just any plumber), he went around my house with the left over spackle and fixed several other stucco dings in my house. Above and beyond. Like I said at the beginning, you really don't want to ever have to call these guys, but if you do find yourself in this sort of a situation, don't risk the mold, just call Moe. There's a reason they have dozens and dozens of 5 star reviews here. Highly recommended.

Chase came by the same day to assess the damage and had an estimate ready the very next day. I found the estimate and statement of work to be very professional and reasonable, and accepted it right away. Ted came and performed the work in multiple stages within the same week - demolition and clean-out, drywall replacement, and painting. He was thorough and searched for and treated mold in the carpet, along the walls, and even in the ceiling. Ted was very respectful to us and responsible, and was very knowledgeable. I felt peace of mind that our home would be in good shape thanks to Ted's quality of work. Micah also came with Ted one of the days and was also respectful, skillful and efficient. Gianna from the office was also very responsive and helpful. My wife told me she was impressed with how thorough Ted was. For example, he created a plastic wall to seal off the work area and prevented the rest of the bedroom from getting contaminated and dirty. We will definitely use Mold Safe Solutions for any future incidents that may come up and recommend them highly.

Vester Pest Control helped me to get rid of rat infestation and also treated my house for termite infestation (once they did fumigation of the entire house and several years later - local treatment). I was especially impressed with their representative, Edward Robenko. This gentlemen is VERY thorough - I was really impressed with his attention to details. You could tell if the guy is 'just doing his job according prescribed work responsibilities' or takes pride in what he's doing... Edward always shows on time, always putting on some plastic bags on his shoes when he needs to step into the house. He immediately identified the places where rats could be present (I found only 1 such a place when I called him, he found two more within minutes). But what impressed me the most - he recalled that Vester did fumigation of my house several years ago and suggested to check for termites presence (for free). And it's good that I agreed - he showed me couple of places with the termites droppings. It was not too bad YET, so local treatment would suffice. I guess it saved me some serious money by avoiding paying for another full fumigation later. Great guy! And the other thing I liked about his - always "keeping the customer in the loop" - he always explains what he is doing and shows you his findings so there is never a doubt (kinda "are they trying to rip me off"?). I had a bee infestation on my porch. Ryan was super professional and straight forward with the process. Any questions I had were answered. I was offered a free quote and the technician came out the next day. Edward the technician was also very professional and was a subject matter expert. He was honest and explained the course of action of the first treatment wasn't fully effective. However the first treatment was 100% effective. The service was quick. Vester Pest and Armen Abramyan - bad bad person and company. I don't now why my seller selected them for tenting. There were 11 broken titles. Its like they were dancing on the roof. How these people are in business? They should be forced to close or at least revoke their license. They are cheater. They have one page document with no details, which they want customer to signed and then use it against them. I'm sure my lawyers will take the matter in their hand. I'm so pleased with Vester Pest and would recommend them to anyone. I had ants in my kitchen and was worried about the spray with my dog and my food. Edward was wonderful explaining that Vester used a special spray just for kitchen and used a special sprayer that looked like a long thin straw which only went it a few areas. Also I was impressed with Vester's quick response time as I called late one evening and the technician was out early the next morning! I ended calling Vester who were extremely helpful to not only give me an explanation of how the ants/spiders get in the house, but they also found rodent poop in our yard. I had problems with ants inside my house and backyard, I called Vester Pest Control and told them that if they have pesticides safe for dogs and cats and my children, they used hospital grade pesticides which is safe for humans and domestic animals. We used to have the same tech service our home who was very thorough, effective and had pride in his work. Now we have random techs show up who aren't even knocking down the visible webs. We had a web on the corner of our front door and they left it there. If they don't bother with the most obvious cobwebs, they aren't effectively spraying or managing our property. They've had to return to repeat spray numerous times. They sent a manager out in Nov who did a really thorough job and said he would pass on his notes to the next tech who comes out, but it doesn't seem like that happened.

The last time they came, they sprayed the outside of the home only. Of course I was upset. When I told them about it, they said they would only charge me half of the fee. Well, I am being charged full price for half the service. Not acceptable.

I was looking for a termite company that could not only fumigate my house, but also repair…read moresignificant termite damage. After a few quotes, I decided to go with Absolute Termite. The bid was super competitive and the communication was excellent. I was a bit apprehensive that the repairs would only be Bondo patches and not replacing the really damaged wood. However, the highly experienced crew came out and replace lots of damaged fascia and a large piece of siding. I had a beam that I was concerned about because it was really damaged. They cut away all of the damaged beam and fabricated a replacement out of all new wood and installed it. It looks great! Another company said they were just going to cut it off and let my roof hang. Yikes! Normally they repaint the repairs to match. However, I was getting my house painted right afterwards so told them just to prime the new wood, which they did. The fumigation team was great! They made sure everything was secure and bagged before they started and then texted me when my house was ready to enter. Awesome! Anyway, I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Absolute Termite!
