I wish I could give more than 5 stars! I urgently needed an inspection (same day!) for a vacation rental that I manage and I reached out to a bunch of local places on Yelp en masse. Ryan, the new owner of Vester, was the first to get back to me. I'll be very honest and tell you I was a little concerned based on their overall rating but after reading the reviews it became clear that they were extremely outdated and based on experiences that occurred under previous ownership. After some back and forth in the app, Ryan called me personally and worked quickly to have one of their team members stop by to do the inspection within a few hours of the initial message. He stayed in clear communication and followed through on my request of 5 mins notice so I could meet them on site. Israel did the actual inspection and he was amazing! The inspection itself was complimentary and I think that it's important to keep in mind that if everything goes the way we're hoping (no evidence of the pests), Vester isn't guaranteed anything from us. I was expecting a 20-30 minute max visit. Israel stayed for over an hour, meticulously inspecting every area, and patiently answering my questions/showing me where he'd looked and where to keep an eye on in the future. Because it involved a vacation rental and a guest concern, I asked if we could get a report indicating their findings (which were that they couldn't find any areas of concern, phew!) as quickly as possible (I've still not paid them anything and they've now spent at least 2 hours of time for us between calls, travel, inspection, and now a report) and they had it to be before the end of the day. I was extremely impressed with both Ryan and Israel. They were kind, communicative, knowledgeable, thorough, AND they both took the urgency I conveyed seriously and got me the resolution I needed quickly. The fact that the experience was this positive from start to finish, even after determining there were no issues and therefore no treatment was needed, tells me everything I need to know about how they do business. This was absolutely the best experience I could have had for a situation I didn't want to be in :) thank you again! Y'all are phenomenal! read more

The office stayed in touch with me as well I scheduled pest control and rodent control first. Israel came out to the house to do a full look around and found rat droppings. He put these bait stations (they have their logo on them which I think is high quality) and I haven't seen any rat droppings since. 3 of my neighbors also signed up if that tells you anything. read more

We used Vester based upon the quote provided and Yelp reviews, however, were extremely frustrated with their work as their technicians broke 5 (!) sprinklers. All broken sprinklers were located where the technicians would have been tramping through the yard. Even worse, sent photographic evidence of the broken sprinklers to Liz, our Customer Service Rep and requested a refund and was told "I will forward this to our fumigation department but thanks for informing me." Still no refund even after our realtor reached out to get a refund. They are careless. Any money I saved in their quote I had to pay in sprinkler repairs. Not worth it. read more

Well it's been a year that our home is termite free which is great but we recently had a bad ant problem and we reached out to Francisco again and he set us up with there All season pest control contract! Who know there are seasonal insects? Any way to my surprise Kyle came to my home again and took care of the ants and he also took the webs off around the house! And sprayed our trash cans handles (we always have spider webs on them) he even sprayed under all our patio furniture for brown widows and showed us there egg sacks under our chairs. Gross! My neighbor and I both need a termite treatment on our respective homes, along with some wood repair. My neighbor initially contacted "Vester" about six months ago for an estimate. Unfortunately, because of other activities she was not able to get her home treated. Approximately three weeks ago she contacted the same Sales Rep by his cell phone number and requested an updated estimate. She also mentioned in her voice message that I (her neighbor) is also interested in an estimate. The next day I called this Sales Rep and also left a detailed message for an appointment. Nearly a week passed and no return call to either of us. Second voice message from the both of us. After her third attempt she was able to talk with him and scheduled an appointment for both of us. On the day of the estimate my neighbor walked the Rep to my home, and I invited him in to do the inspection for the estimate. At the end I inquired why he didn't return either of my calls, nor my neighbor's (she was sitting next to me). His reply was that we are not truthful and said neither of us had called him and suggested we had called his office in error because he always return calls. We became a little insulted and I showed him his cell number from my cell. He then said I (we) must have just hung-up and didn't leave a voice message. I showed him the connect time of the calls (115 sec and 49 sec) and asked if he is calling me (and my neighbor) a liar. His reply was affirmative. Lastly, I asked for the owner's name and contact information and his reply was that he didn't know. I asked him to leave, and he complied. I found the owners' contact information from the California Licensing Board and called the owner. I identified myself by name and the owner immediately interrupted me and said I was discourteous to his employee and hung-up. Never (that I can recall), have I experienced such unfiltered arrogance than what this Sales Rep had demonstrated. read more

We used Vester pest control in 2015 when our home needed tenting for termites. I was referred to them by a realtor friend when we got tenting quotes that we over $1000 more than what we had heard was typical for a house our size. Their pricing was fair and we felt satisfied with the whole process. This year when I was hanging our Christmas lights, I found additional damage that was probably from 2015, but covered under paint. With the paint peeling off now, we could see more of what the termites were munching on. We decided to get a new inspection and then went with Vester to replace the damaged boards. I had a great experience with Vester Pest Control for an inspection. First, it's worth noting that there is no charge for a formal property inspection if you proceed with all of their recommendations. I was on a super tight timeline, and they didn't blink. They made it happen for me. Scheduled it in, showed up on time, and I had a report in my email a day and a half later. Boom! The report itself was very thorough and easy to understand. There's a helpful map of the home with codes that describe what they found, and where they found it. They walk through each area, the findings, and the recommendations. They also clearly describe what they can't access, and why. I think it's important when inspectors clearly disclose the limitations and caveats, which they do. I would use them again. In summary: poor customer service (took me 5 calls over 3 weeks to get a response), been waiting for a written estimate since end of March and was promised one last week (needless to say I have not received it). I purchased the home after this company tented my roof. Originally I was aware of some roof damage. When I got up there to personally take a look over, 35% of the tiles look broken, including multiple ridgeline tiles. The only way that happens is if a company like Vester walks all over your roof without regard to the tiles underfoot. Avoid the hassle and the extra expense. Find another company. read more

Buying a home in this crazy seller's market is extremely tough. It is even tougher for out of state buyers like us from Indiana to buy at San Diego. On top of that, the inspection found termites; the seller did not want to pay for treatment. We had to do tent fumigation the day after the closing of our new property. It was very stressful because we were still in Indiana. Fortunately, Vester Pest Control and our realtor Tina Wu took care of everything for us. I make another appointment a few weeks later and no one shows up. I take time off of work to be here and no one shows up, not even a phone call. I'm DONE with this company. Bottom Line Up Front: When they found out the inspection was for a Veterans Affairs refinancing, my house went from "termite free" to "evidence of infestation." Any company who would try to make a buck because they know you need their certification is morally and ethically bankrupt. And should be financially bankrupt as well.
