Stopped in during my visit to the area and got the chopped steak and cheese wrap with tater tots and it was delicious!

Delicious!! Nicely buttered roll with so much lobster you have to eat some of it before you can even pick this roll up. And not just claws like some places this was all solid lobster meat. $30 with fries- wish we remembered to opt for the onion straws (next time). Lobster was tender and flavorful with not an over abundant amount of mayo just the tiniest bit to hold everything together and it was tender, flavorful, and overall delicious. Arnold Palmer wasn't powdered lemonade either, it was perfectly fresh and not overly sweet. Then shop at the Amazing food co-op next door. Looking forward to our next trip here. Looks just like the many pics already posted.

We walked up to a casual outdoor seating area with picnic tables set alongside the road, giving it the laid back atmosphere of a New England seafood shack where the focus is entirely on generous portions and classic seafood favorites rather than anything overly polished. The setup is simple and relaxed, making it an easy stop for a casual lunch or dinner during the warmer months. The lobster roll is the clear highlight here. The portion was surprisingly large for the price, packed generously and substantial enough to feel like a full meal on its own. The lobster was the star of the sandwich, and the overall value stood out given how expensive lobster rolls have become across Massachusetts. We also ordered the fish and chips, which came with an equally generous portion size, though the fish was a little drier than expected. While it was still satisfying, it lacked some of the moisture and flakiness that would have made it more memorable. What stands out most is the portion to price ratio. Nearly everything coming out of the kitchen is oversized, which helps explain why the restaurant has built such a strong reputation as a destination for seafood in the area. The food leans toward hearty and filling rather than refined, and the experience works best when you arrive hungry and ready for a substantial meal. Service moved efficiently despite the steady crowds, and the casual outdoor setting kept the experience relaxed. For anyone looking for a classic roadside seafood stop in Western Massachusetts, Captain Jack's delivers generous portions, solid seafood, and a lobster roll that easily justifies the visit.

My husband, who's grandmother immigrated from Poland, grew on this fare & he rarely gets to eat it now. So, he was thrilled! We easily found parking very close and, as it was a bit early in the lunch hour, found the place mostly empty. It was a cute, clean little cafe with several small tables to eat in. While we were there, the Monday lunch crowd quickly followed with dining & take-out orders. We ordered at the counter ( oddly, still protected by a huge plexiglass barrier ). The young lady was very helpful & knowledgeable with our menu questions. We ordered, paid and found ourselves a seat. When presented with the credit card payment, I noticed the gratuity pre-sets were at full-service levels & tipped as such. However, when we later realized that we picked up our own food & bussed our our table, we decided that we should have tipped for counter service. The food was spot on! Since i eat mostly vegetarian, I always find this type of cuisine challenging. But, a large list of house-made pierogis gave many options. I settled on a plate of six potato & cheddar with onion & sour cream. Since the kapusta here had no meat, I tried a side of that as well. The pierogis were perfect! Tender dough, flavorful filling - fantastic. The kapusta, a house made cabbage based kraut, was delicious as well & very filling! Half came home with me for another delicious meal. My husband, on the other hand, went all out with the PP - Polish Plate. He was thrilled to be able to mix & match the four pierogi, ordering three savory & one blueberry ( something his grandmother made which he's raved about for ever ). Like me, he found the pierogi perfect. He also enjoyed the kielbasa - very flavorful. The golabek ( what he calls golumpki ) had more rice than he prefers, but he wrote that off as personal choice and said it was very tasty & juicy. All in all, this was a good lunch stop & we'd return when in the area. Next time we'll be coming home with some of those delicious pierogi!

I hadn't been to this location in over 15 years, and probably two businesses ago. The current owners have been here about six years, I'm told, and judging from the number of cars in the parking lot, are putting out some really good food. I can attest to that. I sat at the bar, where Julianna took my order of a MW Station Burger with crispy fries. The burger was perfectly cooked, and had a definite charbroiled taste. 8 ozs of perfection between a substantial (not flimsy) bun. And loads of Heinz ketchup, because ketchup is a vegetable (and I put ketchup on my ketchup).Fries were nice and crispy. Good beer selection. The vibe was a low murmur, lively but def not deafening. The crowd at the bar was very friendly. One lady to my right seemed to be a regular, and rated her chicken francaise 5-star. She even allowed me to take a picture of it (posted). Another friendly group of three (definitely regulars) seemed to really enjoy their pizza. All of us shared tips on where to go in the area for bbq, Mexican, etc. Julianna provided great service with a smile. Overall, really good food, good value. Very clean. Lots of outdoor seating. Hours are currently 4-9, Wednesday thru Sunday.
