I took a few bites before the picture oops I couldn't help it. Nice portions. I'm extra so I get all the sides that I like with my fried chicken. There's fried chicken ,yams ,Mac n cheese cornbread and a side of rice and beans that comes with your order. Then I added green beans potato salad

Since it opened during the pandemic, we hadn't really gotten a chance to get out and try this spot. But finally, we had time and caught them while they were open. Listen. While you're reading this, just start getting ready to leave and head there. You have to try it. They are only open certain days, so make sure you check which day of the week it is first! Let's start with the atmosphere. We were greeted with a warm (masked) smile from the young lady at the register. She was polite and friendly, and was able to answer our questions with no issue. She let us take our time, since we were first timers - we didn't know what we wanted to order quite yet. While we were deciding, the owner came over and added some input on what we might want to try. Once of her slogans is "trust me," and y'all. TRUST her. She did not miss. We ordered the jerk chicken tacos, and the large chicken meal, with the "smack-n-cheese", and "potatoes sweeties". Each of our meals came with rice and beans, which were both separately packaged. So I'm sure you want to know - how did it taste? Well, let me tell you...we were not disappointed. Everything was well made, well seasoned, and well packaged (no spills in transit). We didn't try any dessert this time around, but we already told Ms. Adrienne we'd be back. Now, it's your turn to go visit!

Absolutely delicious‼. Called ahead to find out specials. Very nice young man patiently gave me the information. Plenty of parking. Great vibe. Super friendly staff. Had the pleasure of meeting Auntie!! The food was fantastic. The chicken had great seasoning. The Mac and cheese was homemade and fabulous!! I LOVED the baked beans. I couldn't figure out the spices but oh my right on point. Finally the banana pudding-so good!!! And a large portion. No I didn't share!! Can't wait to try more items on the menu.

    The menu.

The Hot Lobster Roll was ok, nothing spectacular (3 stars if I'm being generous). The price was high and I've definitely had better ones for less money, but you're at a 5 star resort (kidding, of course) paying casino prices. It did come with fries, which was a plus, and maybe that justifies the price a bit. The fries dipped IN the bisque were good! Service was matter of fact with no personality behind the counter. It's counter service so I wasn't expecting much. I'd give it a solid 4 stars if you average my two items together. If I was ever back here, I'd go to Red Rose Pizza next door, but may stop in for a Lobster Bisque as a snack!

The mussels were extremely large (alarming) but we had heard that from other reviews. Ordered a lemonade that was nothing special, but server took our request for extra lemons seriously. Wow, slowest, slowest, slowest service of my life…read more We ordered the New England Fest. Our waitress's pager went off, and she said it was probably ours. Nope, we waited another 15 minutes. Finally received our food, no crackers for lobster/crab claws. After five minutes, we asked again and our waitress had an attitude stating they were being disinfected. We waited a minimum of 20 minutes for the cracker, and asked for another. She stated it was one per table. What? We had to ask multiple times for water. The corn was actually served cold like it had been previously frozen. The potatoes were mediocre. There were maybe 7 mussles for what they said was 1/2 pound. There was a ton of shrimp, 2 pieces of snow crab (1#), some clams and a lobster tail for $80. We added another small lobster for $10 (special). Also ordered 1/2 pound (1 portion) of dungeness crab for added cost. My favorite part was the butter and garlic sauce which was tasty. They had run out of both lomein and fried rice, so we ordered a side of plain rice. In the future I might get take out, but seriously doubt will dine in again after such slow and poor service. Total bill was over $200 with 20% gratuity added in automatically for poor service.

He was pretty excited. We went on a Monday and there were only a few other people there. Major first issue, they no longer serve the boiled lobster that is front and center on their menu... only the lobster TALES for $41!! The menus are paper and could easily be marked to show they don't sell it... or at the very least the server could MENTION that it's not available when she brings the menus. I asked twice if the $41 was the price for JUST the lobster and she said that it was, so we ordered additional sides. The menu was unusual... SOME spicy seafood items mixed in with stuff you'd only ever see on a menu in an Asian Restaurant. Fried dumplings, crab rangoon... and the $14 "Cajun Spicy Rice w/Shrimp" was literally a bowl of Asian fried rice with shrimp, not the least bit spicy OR Cajun. The woman that seated and served us was absolutely FLAT in her demeanor. Everyone is human and people have bad days, but she didn't smile a single time. I told her we were celebrating his birthday and she didn't even NOD in acknowledgment, just stood silently waiting for us to order... it was awkward. We felt like we were putting her out, like she had somewhere else to be and couldn't be bothered. They cover the table with a piece of brown paper, but the areas it doesn't reach were sticky like old kitchen grease. They bring the absolutely cheapest plastic utensils, the forks were so flimsy that we had trouble getting the meat out of the shell with them and finally had to ask if they had any metal ones. (They did, which begs the question, why don't they bring them to start?) They don't bring a nut cracker or a pick either, or even a table knife. It was a pretty messy meal. The lobster tails INCLUDED corn on the cob and potatoes, so we ended up with enough food for an entire second meal. In terms of the meal itself, it was pretty good. The Cajun fries were great, the onion rings too. I had some of the best fried whole clams and scallops of my life. The fried dumplings were also spectacular, though they don't offer dumpling sauce, only packets of soy sauce. The Cajun Rice was meh... it was disappointing for $14 and really hard to eat with the tiny plastic fork. The bill came to $104 before tip. Crazy that those prices don't justify real tableware. We'll definitely try it at least once more (maybe as takeout)... hopefully there will be a new server or she'll be in a better mood.

We walked up to a casual outdoor seating area with picnic tables set alongside the road, giving it the laid back atmosphere of a New England seafood shack where the focus is entirely on generous portions and classic seafood favorites rather than anything overly polished. The setup is simple and relaxed, making it an easy stop for a casual lunch or dinner during the warmer months. The lobster roll is the clear highlight here. The portion was surprisingly large for the price, packed generously and substantial enough to feel like a full meal on its own. The lobster was the star of the sandwich, and the overall value stood out given how expensive lobster rolls have become across Massachusetts. We also ordered the fish and chips, which came with an equally generous portion size, though the fish was a little drier than expected. While it was still satisfying, it lacked some of the moisture and flakiness that would have made it more memorable. What stands out most is the portion to price ratio. Nearly everything coming out of the kitchen is oversized, which helps explain why the restaurant has built such a strong reputation as a destination for seafood in the area. The food leans toward hearty and filling rather than refined, and the experience works best when you arrive hungry and ready for a substantial meal. Service moved efficiently despite the steady crowds, and the casual outdoor setting kept the experience relaxed. For anyone looking for a classic roadside seafood stop in Western Massachusetts, Captain Jack's delivers generous portions, solid seafood, and a lobster roll that easily justifies the visit.

Surprisingly, we wouldn't have actually needed the reservation; the place was pretty quiet for a Saturday night. Though, the college students are all gone for summer so that might play a part in it. I loved the dragonfruit dusting on top. Our server, Scotty, kept us fed and hydrated all night. We started with 16 oysters, tried 4 different kinds, of all sizes. I wish I remembered which we did but they were all very good. Next came the calamari with hot honey. That was eaten up pretty quickly as well! Highly recommend. Entree wise, I ordered the Seared Scallops for myself, and the other party goers had the Lobster Roll (which comes hot, not cold), the Seared Tuna, and the Casarecce Vongole. Everyone was part of the clean plate club that night. All the dishes were so good I know I keep repeating myself! The bill can get pretty pricey if you're not paying attention.
