Came here after a day of kayaking and we were in pretty quick for a Friday night. We ordered the rodeo burger with hot garlic wings with a spicy margarita. Everything was very good. The rodeo burger has bbq sauce, French fried onions and bacon topped with cheddar cheese. The fries were my least favorite. A little soggy and over cooked. The hot garlic wings were good. The wings were decent size, not those skimpy small wings. The spicy margarita was okay. It tasted a little watery. Service was okay, but we found ourselves waiting a while (last customers on deck) and had to go inside to pay when we wanted to leave.

After returning from traveling in Eastern Europe I was craving New York-style pizza. We ordered the Old World which is essentially a New York style with fresh mozzarella. It's baked in a brick oven which was the biggest reason I wanted to go here. The sauces are homemade which translates to fresh without an over abundance of salt! Quite rare to find a pizza that doesn't make you extremely thirsty after eating it. We were pleased and will definitely return. We ate outside because it was quieter and we enjoy eating outside whenever possible. They had a nice selections beers in draft as well as cocktails. I ordered a blueberry beer (can't remember the name) that was delicious in my opinion. Our server was attentive, friendly and professional. Nothing fancy here but the food is good and reasonably priced. We recommend it and will be back the next time I'm craving quality pizza.

Food is your basic bar food menu. I give this three stars since it has a nice outdoor seating area. Prices are moderate. Service was super. We chose onion rings appetizer which were Vidalia onions in beer batter. Burger was mushroom Swiss. Not my first pick but close to home.

Heard that these cats make some banging pizza and we came to give them a shot. We're really glad that we did too as the pizza for is great. The crust is superb. The place is chill and laid back with a great atmosphere. The help was on point and she kept coming back to make sure that we were good to go and if we needed anything. Think this is going to be our new Friday night spot from here on out. Can't wait to give the other pies a go.

Tasty pizza recipes and a VERY large beer selection. Ever since I learned that the Rail Trail Ale House had a truffle mushroom pizza, well, I was sold. Rail Trail Is one of the few places to go where they make their own dough and sauces and choose to use the best ingredients possible for all menu items. This does mean that you may pay a little more for a pizza or sandwich when you go there, but you aren't going here because you want cheap food, you're coming here because you want to good food. If you take a look at the menu, you will see a bunch of things on here that you never see at at other places. They have hand cut fries, they cater to gluten-free customers, and they have music on Fridays and Saturdays. (I'm not sure why, but music always makes food taste more delicious.) The music is on the menu so I threw that it ;). If you are somebody who eats solo, this place is ideal. There is plenty of space around the bar and at high tops where you would feel comfortable sitting by yourself and enjoying your food without feeling like you are the odd one out. (Unless you are odd, and like to be odd, then more power to you!) If you want to try this place out with younger family members, there are a smattering of different menu items that are good for the younger, or small-plate eater, including hot dogs, grilled cheese and chicken tenders. I spend more time looking at the beer menu than I do at the food menu, so that tells you a little bit about how awesome that selection is. If you go, comment back to me on what your favorite beer is!

This place is great! We went for a bike ride, climbed up the unmarked path and ended up in the parking lot of the restaurant. The bar area was filled with locals but plenty of tables available. The inside decor could use a little renovating but we're here for the food, which did not disappoint! Our server was super friendly and it was apparent that everyone working there enjoyed their job and workplace. We went with the Rachael Roll and the Rodeo Burger. When we asked about side subs, it was explained that they are $3-4 extra, so not exactly worth subbing, so we both had the fries. The burger was perfect and so was the Rachael! Really cool to have the sandwich in the pizza dough, melty and piping hot. This place makes a conscious effort to make everything in house-- hand cut fries, pizza dough, the Italian bread for sandwiches.... and no microwaves! Nothing pre-made from the freezer! For a small local joint, this impressed me. When I asked for honey mustard, my server brought over that and lime dressing (both made in house!) because she wanted me to try it cuz she felt like it had a sweeter flavor like a honey mustard-- it really did! I'll ask for that next time. Beyond impressed with this place. Looking forward to returning many times and enjoying their patio on warm days! This place is gonna need to expand!

My wife and I really like pubs and taverns so we were excited to try this ale house. We first ordered Momma's Meatballs for an appetizer. We were rather disappointed. The sauce was completely lacking in seasoning, particularly salt. The meatballs themselves were okay. We also got the fried pickles which were okay but appeared to just be pre-made. Not bad, not great. I got the mushroom Swiss burger. I was very happy to see on the menu that their burgers are hand formed burgers, I really dislike frozen burgers. However, this burger had NO seasoning! The beef was fresh, but it needed salt and pepper at least. The bun and toppings were fine but the lack of seasoning brought it way down. The service was okay. Not bad, but not great. We waited a lot which we kind of understood because it was a Sunday afternoon. The ambience was okay, nothing to write home about. For a place called an ale house, we expected more of a pub vibe. It was a bit of a drive, so at this point, we don't plan to return.

Shout out to Lisa F and Rich B for reviewing this place and making me really, really want to check it out!! I was sort of in the area, visiting a dispensary in Westfield and I knew this was the place I was going to nab a Saturday lunch. The menu looks and sounds (from Rich and Lisa) delicious. It's a chill joint with a huge back patio (we sat inside) and Tanya, our waitress was a freaking pip. We adored her and her sass. The beer menu is available via a QR code visible on each table. I wanted something called Fresh and Fabulous (I think) and Tanya said they were out of it and suggested the Marcus Camby IPA. It was delicious and a solid recommendation. I knew when I saw a photo of the chili dog that it would like be impossible for me to order something else. The only mistake I made was ordering 2!! They are DELICIOUS. Quality and flavorful dog to start with, then piled with really good (it has beans!) chili, caramelized onions and a killer cheese sauce. I ended up eating them (for shame) with a fork and knife. So good. My wife predictably ordered the patty melt and loved every bite. You definitely get a locals-vibe but not in an unfriendly way, if anything I felt like a local and that felt great. Check this place out!!

The broth was hot and flavorful, and it came with a ton of vegetables and potatoes and tender beef cubes. We both went for salads- a small Greek at $6.95 and a small Chef also at $6.95. We asked for both dressings on the side (only the Chef Salad was compliant) and we asked to swap out Swiss cheese for mozzarella on the Chef. They sure came through with a snow blanket of mozzarella across the top of the bowl. My Greek salad was very good- with olives, pepperoncini, onion and pepper slices, and a lot of Feta. There was also a lot of dressing in the bottom of my bowl, which is not what you expect when you order your dressing on the side. The Chef salad was great- with a generous amount of Ham, Turkey, Cheese and hardboiled Egg. I checked out their menu to see what else they had and saw a lot of pizzas, grinders, wraps, salads, sandwiches, seafood, burgers and grilled choices, broasted chicken, and Italian entrees. Honestly, if you can't find something to suit your palate here, shame on you. Pricing is very reasonable, our two salads plus the soup and a tip cost us just $20.

We paid our first visit to CPC today, and really enjoyed the food…read more COVID has all but closed the dining room, and the big sheets of plexiglass between you and the masked counterpersons are a sad reminder of where we are today. However, despite all those necessary adjustments, CPC dished up some terrific barbecue for us. We ordered a brisket plate ($15) and pulled pork plate ($13) to go. Each plate came with a slab of cornbread and your choice of 2 sides. We selected sweet potato fries, mac and cheese, Baked BBQ beans, and cheese grits. The meals were served with 2 containers of BBQ sauce -Sweet St. Louis and Tangy Memphis. We made up a few combination plates for dinner tonight, and both of us agreed that the food was very good. Let's start with the meat, because, after all, this is a BBQ place. I liked the brisket a lot, once you trimmed the slices, they were very lean, very meaty, very tasty and plain old excellent. The slices were on the thicker side, but I didn't mind that one bit. The pork was tender and juicy and full of flavor. I added some of that Sweet St. Louis sauce to my plate, and it was great, with tons of flavor and no heat. I sampled three of the sides and thought the Gold Medal Winner was the mac and cheese. It had a luxurious texture and was loaded with cheesy goodness. The grits were excellent too. My wife and I split opinions on the cornbread, I liked it more than she did, and I think that's because it wasn't as sweet or as moist as the cornbread we've had in the past at various BBQ joints.. We also picked up two pieces of smoked salmon we'll target for dinner this week. All of that ran us less than $40, so we think the value is pretty darned good. The location is gorgeous, you are right next to the North Pond Marina of Lake Congamond so you can watch the boats from their outdoor patio if you're in the mood to do some people and boat watching. I'm sure we will be back because the BBQ options around here are few and far between.

The pork was cooked perfectly. No sauce or rub on it but it came with 2 different BBQ sauces, one was a Carolina Gold style and another that seemed to be Kansas City style. I am a Carolina fan and was not disappointed at all. It really brought it all together. The slaw had a very nice kick to it. The cornbread and hush puppies were a little on the dry side but had good flavor. The collard greens did let me down as I am used to more hamhock or bacon flavor, however it was not a deal breaker for me. l am looking forward to my next visit here.
