After my son shared a pic from their IG story, he convinced me to stop here on the way back from an appointment on this side of town. I tried to call the Lakeshore location first with no answer and decided Monticello was closer. The entrance is very bright and the vibe is trendy urban. The first thing I noticed was the dessert station set up which is another business "Tina's Sweet Treats". It's one of those where you take the item and pay for it using a QR code. I love how business is so innovative now! My order was taken by a pleasant young lady who described all the optional ways the Creole Philly came. On a bun, on fries or rice. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because at $15.50, I would expect a Philly to come as a sub with the fries. That being said I had to order fires separately and my order for 2 Chicken Phillies and fries was $41. I texted my son and told him their food better be good, lol. I stepped out and when my food was ready I received a phone call. Picked it up, headed home and because I was hungry, I ate the fried in the car. They were good, their sauce (which is more of a glaze) had a nice flavor. You could taste the hot sauce in it. By the time I got home which was a good 18 minute drive the sandwiches were still hot. My son ate a few fries and almost a whole side of his sub and said he was full. He was happy with his food and said it tasted great. The food was good, but to be honest not as great as I was expecting with the price point. I've had better Chicken Phillies for cheaper elsewhere and gotten more food. Stopped in for lunch on a weekday and had an awesome experience. First I have to say that Shadonna at the counter was amazing! Super friendly and polite, she was also very helpful in suggesting menu items to my dad who is a very picky eater. We settled on a 5 piece wing combo, which came with 2 creole sides. I got the jambalaya, gumbo and a honey biscuit with my wings. My dad chose the perch po' boy. The sandwiches don't come with any sides, but the fries looked good. The wet creole wing flavor was honey based and delicious. I was expecting a bit more heat, but they were more sweet than hot. The wings were breaded and crunchy without being overcooked and I loved that they give you whole wings, not the little pieces. The jambalaya had a great flavor. Again not too spicy but definitely well seasoned and complete with all the fixings; peppers, chicken sausage, and pulled chicken. The gumbo was okay. It was tomato based rather than a traditional roux. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, I could have eaten those on their own. The star of our meal was probably the perch po' boy. A cool concept to combine a local Ohio fish with a southern style sandwich. The fish was perfectly fried and the French bread bun was toasted, yet still soft. I'm not sure what the sauce on the po' boy was, but it was delicious. The honey biscuit was kind of like a dessert. A flaky, buttery biscuit swimming in a sweet honey sauce. I actually enjoyed it but would say it's quite the departure from a traditional biscuit with a little honey drizzled on top. This location is more of a pick up and go/takeout situation but there are a few tables and the space isn't so small that it would be uncomfortable to sit down and eat. They have really cool prints from local artist, Glen Infante on the wall, which was fun. They also have a World Wide Snax area in the back. There were chips, candies, and cereals with funky flavors from around the world. Overall the food, ambiance and service were excellent. I've driven past this place countless times, but never stopped in. Finally, someone forwarded me an Instagram video they did and I saw how great all the food looked. I went and did a carry out order for dinner one night. They had 4 menus at the counter so we all were able to look at the menu at the same time. Everyone was very friendly and eager to explain something when I said it was my first time there. Also, I was given the option to have them call me when my food was ready, if I preferred not to wait inside. Yes, everything was made fresh. That brings me to my only area of opportunity. While I was thrilled everything was made fresh, I also took note that I was waiting for upwards of 40 minutes for 4 meals. They weren't particularly busy, so I am left with the impression that it just takes them awhile to prepare. If you are in any type of rush, try ordering ahead. Love the fact this Black Woman opened this restaurant with the goal of helping the community by providing jobs for the community children. But somebody forgot the training. Somebody forgot the customer service function. Somebody told them that the Mac and cheese that isn't Mac and cheese and it was not good. Pasta was overcooked or were they fries. The young gentleman at the register was warm, friendly, and helped me understand the menu, as this was my first time dining there. Wanting chicken, I selected the Bite Creole Chicken. After not much time at all, I was pleasantly surprised at how impressive the presentation of this dish was. It looked amazing, smelled incredible, and tasted delicious. It had flavorful crispy fried chicken, a blend of five cheeses, and a Parmesan ranch hot sauce, that had a little tanginess of buffalo flavor, on top of fries. A blissful texture, and just for flavor. Absolutely incredible... It was a little spicy, but not too much, just the right amount, if you ask me. I indulged this dish, with mad satiation. THIS IS CLEVELAND...!!! Bite Has brought the zest, soul, and quality of Louisiana Creole cuisine, and gave it their own Cleveland twist. It is a grand slam, 100%, A+! A local, black owned restaurant in the area. They are also involved in the community, not just a restaurant, so I would highly recommend for everyone to support a restaurant that also supports them. The food however is great ! I'm a big fan of loaded fries (a cleveland favorite), and these are by far one of the best that I have tasted. The chicken is fried, and placed directly over the fries with their mix of sauces and vegetables that all come together perfectly. I plan to try more on the menu, and they also have specials, but I would highly recommend trying the fries. It has become one of my favorites and I've eaten them a few times and I have not been disappointed. read more

First time here for the unlimited Mamosa's since my friend invited me. I follow the Instagram page and the food always looks amazing so I couldn't wait and thankfully I was not disappointed in the least. The seasoning was on point and everything I had seem to taste better and better. I ended having the shrimp & grits, the French toast with apples, turkey links and my personal fave the pancakes with wings with the wet sauce. I enjoy the fish. Specifically the peach dinners. The cooks typically do an awesome job. last night, not so much. However, on Thursday night, January 20th, the politeness and professionalism of the young lady who rang me out made up for any culinary deficiencies that day. She called me to let me know my order was ready and thanked me for my business and suggested that I have a wonderful evening; it was honest and genuine - AND POLITE. I couldn't be more disappointed in this establishment. I placed my order through door dash where the menu clearly stated that with the perch you get 3 pcs. of fish and two sides. Well when I went to select my sides (red beans & rice and honey buttered biscuits) they charged me extra for them. Nevertheless I still went through with 2 separate orders of the same thing. Well when the food arrived I was instantly thinking something must be wrong due to how lite the bag was and the fact that I only had 1 food container with fish. To my surprise when I opened it I had only 2 pcs. of fish total, mind you the price for this order was over $40. So naturally I called the restaurant to inform them of their mistake and that's when the lady told me that my order was indeed correct and that what I read on the door dash menu is a typo. So you mean to tell me that you know the door dash menu is wrong and you don't request that they change it. That's false advertisement as far as I'm concerned. Not to mention your telling me that for $16.50 you only get 1 piece of fish and 2 small sides. Add to that the fish was cooked extremely hard and didn't taste fresh at all. I actually never got a chance to taste the food because the young "lady" who greeted me has no idea what service is. First of all, don't greet the public in your bonnet that you probably slept in! Not a good look. Secondly if a customer asks you a question!, listen to what they are saying before you respond. I had a simple question to wwhich Ms. Hair Bonnet couldn't answer because she didn't or wouldn't listen. Instead she decided that I was aggressive. Maybe she does not know or understand the definition of that word. When she decided to call me a name, I just turned and walked out. It makes me sad to know that black people always want you to patronize them but when you do they don't know how to show respect. Totally enjoyed my food! I had the fries with the shrimp and crab (could have used a couple more shrimp) but super appreciated the fact that there was real crab meat on there!!! I've had this kind of fry elsewhere and they mixed in imitation crab. YUCK! That brown sugar sauce or whatever it is that was on top OMG!!!!! I also ordered the veggie dish with the broccoli and red beans and rice which came with a sweet maybe cinnamonish flavor corn muffin. Broccoli sautéed was cooked just right, had flavor and not salty! You could taste the flavor of the broccoli and appreciate what you were eating. The red beans for me could have been different but I didn't make them sooooo ya take what you bought. They were good just could have used more spice and a smaller bean. I do not like Kidney beans, flavor was good though. Will definitely go back! A hidden gem in South Euclid!! I needed a quick meal for dinner, so I put an order in for pick up. Food was ready in under 20 minutes and the pick up process was a breeze. I got the jambalaya with one wing on the side. I haven't had this good tasting jambalaya since my visit to New Orleans, but I wish it had more meat in it. The chicken wing was very tasty too with some sweet and tangy type of rub on it... only down side is there's not a lot of meat on the bone. Overall, fantastic food with amazing taste, just a little pricey based on the portions. My only regret is not getting more wings and not being able to try more on the menu.
