    Perch Po' Boy

Stopped in for lunch on a weekday and had an awesome experience. First I have to say that Shadonna at the counter was amazing! Super friendly and polite, she was also very helpful in suggesting menu items to my dad who is a very picky eater. We settled on a 5 piece wing combo, which came with 2 creole sides. I got the jambalaya, gumbo and a honey biscuit with my wings. My dad chose the perch po' boy. The sandwiches don't come with any sides, but the fries looked good. The wet creole wing flavor was honey based and delicious. I was expecting a bit more heat, but they were more sweet than hot. The wings were breaded and crunchy without being overcooked and I loved that they give you whole wings, not the little pieces. The jambalaya had a great flavor. Again not too spicy but definitely well seasoned and complete with all the fixings; peppers, chicken sausage, and pulled chicken. The gumbo was okay. It was tomato based rather than a traditional roux. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, I could have eaten those on their own. The star of our meal was probably the perch po' boy. A cool concept to combine a local Ohio fish with a southern style sandwich. The fish was perfectly fried and the French bread bun was toasted, yet still soft. I'm not sure what the sauce on the po' boy was, but it was delicious. The honey biscuit was kind of like a dessert. A flaky, buttery biscuit swimming in a sweet honey sauce. I actually enjoyed it but would say it's quite the departure from a traditional biscuit with a little honey drizzled on top. This location is more of a pick up and go/takeout situation but there are a few tables and the space isn't so small that it would be uncomfortable to sit down and eat. They have really cool prints from local artist, Glen Infante on the wall, which was fun. They also have a World Wide Snax area in the back. There were chips, candies, and cereals with funky flavors from around the world. Overall the food, ambiance and service were excellent. Definitely a great option if you're craving some Creole style eats or a well cooked chicken wing!

I've been here a few times and the food is consistently great. They also have dessert, made by someone else and the cupcakes are outstanding. On the days that I don't know what to eat, I order from here. The food comes out looking just like the IG post.

I've driven past this place countless times, but never stopped in. Finally, someone forwarded me an Instagram video they did and I saw how great all the food looked. I went and did a carry out order for dinner one night. They had 4 menus at the counter so we all were able to look at the menu at the same time. Everyone was very friendly and eager to explain something when I said it was my first time there. Also, I was given the option to have them call me when my food was ready, if I preferred not to wait inside. Yes, everything was made fresh. That brings me to my only area of opportunity. While I was thrilled everything was made fresh, I also took note that I was waiting for upwards of 40 minutes for 4 meals. They weren't particularly busy, so I am left with the impression that it just takes them awhile to prepare. If you are in any type of rush, try ordering ahead. I will do that next time, because the food was amazing!

Not Mac and cheese fries or pasta I don't know

Love the fact this Black Woman opened this restaurant with the goal of helping the community by providing jobs for the community children. But somebody forgot the training. Somebody forgot the customer service function. Somebody told them that the Mac and cheese that isn't Mac and cheese and it was not good. Pasta was overcooked or were they fries. For $13 I should know what I'm eating . I'm upset that I even bought and ate it. I can only say the decor was everything.

YES...!!! THIS...IS...CLEVELAND...!!! I sauntered into Bite Creole Kitchen, lookin' all cool and sh**, with Italian leather monk strap shoes, and a slick wool cap like that 1920's gangster dude from Peaky Blinders (wrist slick bling in'). The Decour is fun, colorful, and cool. They have a - bam! - Bite logo emblazoned in the background with bold lighting, and suave design. Bite embraces you with a modern, multi-cultural, intellectually-stimulating vibe, As does the bright, fun, and colorful painted artwork adorning the walls of celebrities in caricature. The young gentleman at the register was warm, friendly, and helped me understand the menu, as this was my first time dining there. Wanting chicken, I selected the Bite Creole Chicken. After not much time at all, I was pleasantly surprised at how impressive the presentation of this dish was. It looked amazing, smelled incredible, and tasted delicious. It had flavorful crispy fried chicken, a blend of five cheeses, and a Parmesan ranch hot sauce, that had a little tanginess of buffalo flavor, on top of fries. A blissful texture, and just for flavor. Absolutely incredible... It was a little spicy, but not too much, just the right amount, if you ask me. I indulged this dish, with mad satiation. THIS IS CLEVELAND...!!! Bite Has brought the zest, soul, and quality of Louisiana Creole cuisine, and gave it their own Cleveland twist. It is a grand slam, 100%, A+! I only wish Anthony Bourdain could've had this dish, the one I had for lunch today, and then maybe he wouldn't have off'd himself. I love such a: unique; family-owned; off-the-beaten-path, joint. It's far from the touristy, boring chain restaurants. This is a true gem in the heart of the real Cleveland neighborhoods. The dish was so good, I might've started licking the plate when I was done if I didn't want to feel embarrassed. I look forward to returning to try the burger, the wings, and the fish dishes! Extraordinary, Bite Creole...!!!

A local, black owned restaurant in the area. They are also involved in the community, not just a restaurant, so I would highly recommend for everyone to support a restaurant that also supports them. The food however is great ! I'm a big fan of loaded fries (a cleveland favorite), and these are by far one of the best that I have tasted. The chicken is fried, and placed directly over the fries with their mix of sauces and vegetables that all come together perfectly. I plan to try more on the menu, and they also have specials, but I would highly recommend trying the fries. It has become one of my favorites and I've eaten them a few times and I have not been disappointed.

First time here for the unlimited Mamosa's since my friend invited me. I follow the Instagram page and the food always looks amazing so I couldn't wait and thankfully I was not disappointed in the least. The seasoning was on point and everything I had seem to taste better and better. I ended having the shrimp & grits, the French toast with apples, turkey links and my personal fave the pancakes with wings with the wet sauce. I ended up getting some to go to take to my husband but he was taking to long to eat them so I ended up eating his wings I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and I will be back.

Sticky ass floor. Can't mop!! Too ghetto to function as a business.

This store has NEVER got one of my orders right. Recommendation... Don't ever deviate from menu. Too stupid the not put onions. They forget to put the right side dishes on your to go box. I've intentionally called in and waited over 45 min before picked up food ..and they FORGOT to make my food. I'm also a delivery partner and have picked up here six times in the past 2 years .. CHECK your box before you leave... They can't even get the right order to the customer. They make driver's wait more than 45 min ..time =$... They do not care about customer... Stood here and watched front counter greeter Yell at customer instead of apologizing..even though the restaurant messed up. Dont expect fast or accurate service. Not a good portion for price either. Go elsewhere!!

I called to let them know, and the young male cashier who answered the phone acted like I was bothering him. He said he would "go ask the manager what to do," put me on hold, and then hung up on me. When I called back, he hung up again without saying anything. So I drove up there -- even though I didn't really have the time my because fiancé recently had surgery on his leg so I'm taking care of him-- and yet things got even worse. In person, the same cashier cut me off while I was speaking, told me to my face that I was wrong, and said he had already checked the order (which clearly wasn't true). When I tried to explain, he got loud, threw my receipt on the floor, and kept arguing with me in front of other customers. His tone, attitude, and behavior were unbelievably disrespectful and unprofessional. Thankfully, the manager stepped in, stayed calm, and offered to make the missing items for me -- which I appreciated but while speaking with him the cashier would interject with rude, condescending and callous remarks, trying to continue the argument. The cashier placed the bag on the counter and refused to even acknowledge me. He just stared away like I wasn't standing there. The manager saw this too, and ended up moving him to the back room and handing me the food himself. My little sister was also disrespected when she came in to pick up our initial order. He would say "I can't really help you" and would walk away to sit on his phone and put his feet up on the counter. How are you the cashier manning the counter and can't give someone their order?. He gave the same response to another lady as well. We usually go to the Lee's Seafood Boil in Solon. The food is amazing there and the customer service is some of the best I've ever had. While the one on Lee Rd is the exact opposite and they're extremely greasy in comparison. We will never be returning to the Lee Rd location and will forever stick with Lee's In Solon. Manager: 4/5 - respectful, professional, and made it right. Cashier: 0/5 - rude, dishonest, disrespectful, and completely out of line. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. No one deserves to be treated like that. I won't be coming back unless serious changes are made -- starting with that cashier.

Erin was our server and she was amazing, from beginning to end! We would come back just for her, but I know she works limited hours because she's busy being an epic artist! She let my dad tell her dad jokes and when he wanted to meet Leo (because he looks like Fish from Shoresy and my mom thought he was hot) they obliged which was truly going above and beyond (even if it made me and my sister a little awkward). The boudin balls were great! Very similar to New Orlean's verisons so that was great! We also tried the hot rocks which were also great! Our table tried both gumbos, the jambalaya and the crab cakes. All of which were delicious and the closest you'll find to NOLA style around here! For dessert my mom scored the last creme brulee which made her day and the rest of us had beignets. Their beignets are definitely not Cafe Beignet or Loretta's level, but they are still absolutely delicious as their own dessert, like a mix between a funnel cake and a beignet! Drinks were also amazing! It's one of like 3 places you can get a Pimms cup in Cleveland! They had a lot of other cool options and Sunday looks like it's usually an all day happy hour so we have to go back! And finally, I just have to note how beautiful the place is. Decor everywhere you look, my little sister couldn't stop taking pictures! It was such a lovely experience! I can't say enough great things!

The craft beer and cocktail menu is extensive and we upgraded to the large hurricane, which was fruity and refreshing. Service was Excellent. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I weren't really into the King Cajun Seafood Special Sauce. I usually go for house special sauces since they're usually good, but this one just didn't hit the spot. We ordered the hot spice level, but it wasn't spicy at all, and the sauce had this creamy taste--maybe they added flour or cornstarch to thicken it? I prefer my seafood boil sauce to be zesty and spicy. We ended up ordering a side of Cajun garlic butter sauce instead, and that was way better in my opinion. I also wish I had asked for a side of lemon slices (my bad), it would've made the flavors pop more with some extra zest and tang. One thing I really liked about the restaurant was that their seafood sizes were enormous! The shrimp and crawfish were jumbo-sized, and the Dungeness crab was packed with meat. Oh, and a heads up, when we ordered extra corn, we thought it would be three cut pieces, but I think it was actually three whole corn cut into thirds. So yeah, no need to order extra corn unless you really love it. We ended up leaving with a whole bag of corn. I guess that will be my lunch and dinner for tomorrow.
