The WORST customer service I have ever experienced. Half of our order came out and then we waited over 40 minutes and still never received the second half. We were waiting on a turkey sandwich, nothing complicated. Both the manager and the waiter were extremely rude and never apologized, rather gave attitude when we asked what was going on. Their explanation was that there are two lines, one for salad and one for sandwiches, but that clearly didn't make sense considering multiple people who came in after us were served before we received the rest of our order, at least one being a turkey sandwich. It was appalling how rude the staff was considering the wait and the fact that half our party was never even served. Avoid at all costs! Also to note, the food is incredibly overpriced and nothing to write home about. read more

The most adorable place. Makes me feel like I'm in a big city or on vacation. The decor is a bloggers paradise. The food is fresh and high quality. I like the pay out counter and seat yourself mentality because it's perfect for groups who want their own check. Free WiFi. Excellent iced chai tea latte. The turkey bacon is the thick expensive kind (could have been cooked a little longer but if that's my only complaint we're good). Seriously the cutest place, atmosphere is everything. I was very very disappointed with bite today. this is actually one of my favorite places in Hackensack it normally had very high-quality food high-quality coffee and service. We ordered an avocado toast and it looked like nothing like an avocado toast that it looked like in the past. Even if you wanted to just order a cup of coffee you had to do it online which is very difficult to do so when you have a toddler running around and people being on comfortable because of a toddler running around because you're trying to order a cup of coffee and have to do it through their online system. Also there was a gentleman that works there and he literally was about to pour the cup of coffee over my head because we complained about the service. He literally placed the QR codes on the tables slamming them and looking at me directly in the face sorry will not be going back to this place any longer read more

I found this place through an ad on Facebook. The food looked good and I decided to give it a try. The first time I ordered through DoorDash. The food was ready real quick but the driver made additional stops along the way so I ended up getting my food an hour after it was ready. Not their fault. I now order directly through their site and delivery is quick. Originally I was just ordering for myself but now my family is hooked on their food. I'm very picky with veggie burgers and I have to say that theirs is one of the best I have had. I would like to try dining in when they reopen. I will continue to try new items. Refuse to give you half and half in a latte, so you do not have a choice of what you want in your drink even if you offer to pay extra. This place used to be great and I have never had this problem till today, but the girl that was telling me this said this is how it will be From now on, so this deserves 100% 0 stars, something so small can really ruin a persons day! Recently my boyfriend and I had been getting pushed ads for Bite Food and Coffee so we decided to try it out. I'm sad we hadn't found this place sooner!!! The burgers are delicious and I love that I can substitute any of their burgers with a vegan patty. I'm deeply moved by their avocado fries and they make a mean dirty chai. Not to mention upon delivery we're handed our food with a smile, our name hand written on the front of the bag, with an added note on the back thanking for the support. This is my new go-to cafe in the neighborhood! It definitely doesn't feel like I'm in Hackensack--felt like I was in the city or even LA. They have free wifi and plenty of seats and outlets, so you can get work done while grabbing a bite from their extensive menu. Coffee and drinks 4/5 - I can be a coffee snob, but the coffee here is pretty good considering you're not in the city. I think they brew Lavazza. Their iced matcha latte with almond milk (when made right, see my comments on service) is the best that I've tried in the area. They're super generous with the matcha, so the flavor is rich! Food 4/5 - Everything I've tried here is good so far. It's not the best, but the bite burger was flavorful. The meat was slightly dry, but still good because of the other delicious ingredients in the burger. Service 5/5 - The service is truly what sets this place apart! It was my second time ordering their iced matcha latte, but it didn't have the rich matcha flavor like the first time I had it here, it just tasted like almond milk. I felt bad being a snob haha, but the owner Kareem was so kind. He saw me standing next to the bar with my drink and immediately came over to ask if I needed anything. All I wanted was more matcha powder, but he made me a brand new drink. And everyone on staff seems genuinely happy to be here and help you in any way. I ordered a medium well burger today, and, when it arrived, the burger was raw, literally dripping red blood! also ordered a salmon and potato meal. the potatoes were old and smelled like they had gone bad, the salmon was hard as cardboard. I called the restaurant and I had to send pictures to get 50% off????! the right thing would have been a refund, since we couldn't eat our meal, I would have returned both meals, since it ended up in the garbage anyway. An aesthetically pleasing place that has food and prices that are actually fair. To find a place like this in Hackensack, is an absolute gem (has more of a Hoboken/NYC vibe). Unfortunate first and last experience. After seeing posts and reviews for their breakfast sandwiches, we were excited to try (the reality was far from the posts). We ordered the lil'fish, Big fish, and honey pear toast online for in-person pickup. We were one of the first orders of the day, and it took an extra 10 minutes waiting at the shop for the order after being told that they were missing an ingredient. After waiting, the order was ready, took it, and went home. Upon inspection, at home, we were grossly disappointed that the lil'fish has no actual Lox/fish in the sandwich and very paltry portions. The Big Fish wasn't much better, sloppily made with little to no actual lox (see pictures). The honey pear toast was burnt black on the bottom...I mean, how do you mess up toast?! When we tried to call to figure out what happened, there is no phone number on the website, but found one on the receipt. We called multiple times with no answer and no voice mail. I had to drive back over to get this resolved (15 minutes each way). Once I got back, I was informed that he lil' fish has a "lox cream cheese" with the fish blended into the cheese...if that was the case, it was 1: misrepresented in their advertising, and 2: tasteless, and there was little to no lox in that cream cheese. The excuse from the manager/chef was poor, and when asked why they did not pick up the phone, they said that they have no phone to the store. Needless to say, we were very disappointed and hungry. In the end, the manager/chef did refund our money (hence the 2nd star), but we will never order from this place again. A warning to anyone who reads this post to inspect the food before you take it and would recommend going in person instead of ordering online so that you can ask questions, given that you cannot call or speak to anyone over the phone. read more

Went for a Sunday brunch and knowing the area and that it's next to Starbucks didn't think much about it except thank goodness I am out of the house. Got there and was blown away.
