My daughter got the macarons and I got a lemon cookie and a peppermint chocolate cake. My daughter said the macarons were delicious and my cookie and cake were good. The lemon cookie was not particularly lemony or sweet but had a sugary topping that helped out with the flavor. The peppermint cake had just the right amount of peppermint but the chocolate part seemed a little dry but not enough to ruin the chocolatey goodness. They also make homemade bread which looked delicious. All in all the place holds a certain charm and everyone was nice and pleasant and very helpful behind the counter. We were in on Saturday and they had just finished the chocolate covered strawberries for Valentines Day. The strawberries were so plump and flavorful and the chocolate was decadent. Not the junk you get in the grocery store. The bakery has a lot of history and sits right in the middle of a bunch of houses. It's safe and there is plenty of parking. The sandwich portions are large, made to order and super fresh. Treat yourself!
