What a way to start my day. We have just moved to bixby and my two sons they were excited to get new bikes. After walking in we were walking around and we were greeted by someone who was extremely rude and almost felt like were being a bother to him just by being there. He was so combative any questions I asked was met with I don't know and such rudeness I have never experienced in my life in front my kids which created such a bad atmosphere. I even asked him what would be the total he just said the price plus tax no initiative of asking me anything else. That's when I said that's ok I am going to leave not spending any money here where we are just met with such negative attitude. My kids were very sad because we didn't buy them bicycle which is understandable but I can't promote local Buisness where we are not welcome because we look different. Felt really racial. read more

Never set foot in this store and still I'm here with a 5 star review. Started with an online inquiry about a bike which they replied promptly!! A few days later the bike I inquired about was delivered to my front door! That alone deserves 5 stars but this shop went above and beyond. The owner reached out just to confirm everything before shipping my order and also followed up after it was delivered. Top that off they threw a couple extra goodies in the box which made my day. I have a new bike, purchased out of state. I went to Bixby bicycle because it was convenient for adjustments/repairs. I was spending $100+ for every adjustment at Bixby bicycle; whether the bike was there a day or 3-4 days. After several adjustments to my bike, costing several hundreds of dollars, I wondered am I being taken advantage of? Then, I started looking for another Tulsa area bike shop to do my repairs. I found a shop that is helpful in explaining adjustments/repairs and showed me how to make simple adjustments myself. The bike shop by the river explained many things that I now do myself. I now take my bike in for adjustments/repairs on annual basis. After a couple months of not going to Bixby bicycles, I received a phone call from Bixby bicycle. I was told I was given a $20 in-store credit, for overcharging on the last adjustment/repair. My spouse went to Bixby bicycles and was looking to purchase something to use the $20 credit. She was told the $20 credit was towards bike adjustments/repairs only. That is a bunch of malarky, as that was not how the $20 credit was stated. I will not be going back to Bixby bicycles again. read more

This place made my day. I need my current bike adjusted so I could ride more comfortably. Sitting while leaning forward too far was making my back hurt. Buster helped me find the problem and offered several adjustments. I was able to sit on several different set ups to see what felt good. We ended up changing the handle bars and the stem to an adjustable one. He also added a water bottle holder. I went and road 9 miles the same day and I'm super grateful for the help I got getting the perfect set up. I will probably go ride again today too. Having the right set up makes all the difference. I'm riding recreationally but they set up all levels and have all the competitive gear and bikes as well. If you want to start riding , please go visit and get out there! Tulsa has miles and miles of bike trails all over the city. :) read more

My husband and I don't have "fancy" bikes. Down the road, we know we will need to get something new, but for the time, they work for the Sunday morning rides that we enjoy so much. Whenever we have needs like changing of the brakes or getting a new gear shift, this is the place to go. What may be simple for them is a huge blessing to us! Very kind and friendly staff that knows all that could be done to the bike but doesn't push more at you after talking about keys things that should be done (and how long the changes will last) unless you are the one to first ask. Got my recumbent trike from them! They are really nice and have full service repair and maintenance of any brand of bike. Aaron is very nice, but with their sales numbers he's also very busy because he's the trike specialist. There's a lot of people going to trikes so his knowledge is worth the wait. Aaron was the guy for me. He took measurements and created three bikes for me to look at. He took me to the parking lot and made sure I knew how to use the gears and the brakes. He gave me so much care and helped me make the change from a leisure bike to a road bike. How different can that be, you might ask. Well, it's a lot different and Aaron helped me. I think it would have taken me loads more time to figure it all out had I not had Aaron stepping me through it. The bike is wonderful, the customer service is wonderful, and I cannot thank them more for what they did for us. Now all I need to talk to Aaron about is a WAY more comfortable seat. Love these guys. My wife needed a road bike because her pleasure bike couldn't keep up with group rides. Aaron was our sales person. He made the process easy but also was very helpful in choosing the best bike for her. He took a lot of measurements and then put together a few bikes for her to try. She could tell immediately when she rode the bike that it was the one for her. Aaron was so patient and very knowledgeable. This place is great. I came to get a new rim for my bike, and the process was very smooth. They had to special order my rim, but it came in a few days later and they re-installed everything for free and made sure my bike was in a ride-able condition before leaving. The guy that helped me out was extremely helpful (unfortunately, I did not catch his name) and everyone I talked to was super nice. The store was very clean, and I will definitely come back here if I need anything else done on my bike PS, they have a cool dog in the back of the store that couldn't be any more sweet or adorable. I had heard of Bixby Bicycles and knew they had racing roots. But someone recommended that I take my Catrike 559 there for repairs. I was skeptical, though they sold trikes, how I would be treated. Some shops treat recumbent or recumbent trike riders differently. Buster and the gang at Bixby Bicycles blew me out of the water. I was treated as if I was some sort of celebrity. Everyone there was ultra friendly. Some Tulsa shops charge more for recumbent repair, but not them! I cannot possibly express my enthusiasm for this bike shop!!!! They are so great!!!!! read more

Just moved up here from okc and needed to take my bike in. Very reasonable priced, nice staff and fast service.

I bought an Izip electric bike online. The plan was to send it to my closest Izip dealer for final assembly and delivery. They got it. Never called me. I called them and picked it up. Internal front and rear lights did not work. For six long weeks I waited for them to fix. Didn't do squat. Kept blaming corporate Izip. Clearly they didn't care. Same runaround every time I called them. They couldn't fix the electrical problem so I asked for RMA. I zip said I was over 30 day return policy even though I had the bike less than 2 hours over six weeks. Finally corporate accepted our return. The bixby bike shop said they'd box it up and ship it back. Every day I called them "yes, we'll get it tomorrow." After a week of this run around, went to the shop. I said I'll wait. They finally boxed it up But refused to take it to shippers. We dropped it off. Refund took forever and they originally didn't refund sales tax that they charged us for. Moral of the story, don't buy an Izip bike From Izip because clearly dealers don't care about you unless you buy the bike from them. Secondly, Bixby Bicycle shop are a bunch of liars that don't care about customers. You should never buy anything from them read more

I have done business with this shop for about 3years. My earlier experience with the shop/employees was mostly positive. I understand the fact that it was a new shop and new location so there is always going to be a process of learning to be efficient in providing the best customer service possible. But what recently happened needs to be known so that the owner/ employees might do a better job of serving their customers needs and communicating with them. I brought my bike in to have it cleaned and to adjust the front derailleur. The mechanic who took my information and assessed what else needed to be done was not very friendly. I didn't mind too much because his job is fixing/building bikes, not customer service, obviously by his demeanor. I made the mistake, apparently, that I didn't tell him I needed the bike for the next morning. He didn't ask me either. He said he would call me when it was ready. That was just after 11:00 am. on a Friday and I didn't hear back so I thought I would go by and check, it was before 4:00 and I was out anyway and it was on my way. When I went in, there were several people in the store being waited on. The mechanic was at the register helping someone pay for, I assume, work on their bike. I asked an employee about my bike, if it was done and the mechanic looks over at me and just stared, then said he hadn't even started on it and did I need it for tomorrow. I said yes, I was planning on riding as it was a Saturday am ride. It was awkward and I said I didn't want to pressure him though and could tell he had been busy all day working on other peoples bikes. I understand, thus I realize I should have made that clear when I brought my bike in. He seemed frustrated and said he would get to it in about 15 minutes and would call when it was done. I received no call. I waited expecting to hear from him. I even thought maybe they might be staying late to finish my or others bikes so I didn't call. That was their responsibility to let me know. So, I didn't make my Saturday ride. Here's my problem with everything I've described. To summarize: they need to improve on organizational skills, better communication skills and customer service.... and if their mechanic, who is great at what he does, no problem there, can't be more pleasant and customer service oriented, then make sure he doesn't interact with the customers because of his personality or maybe just hired one more mechanic so he's not overloaded as much. read more

Bixby Bicycles did a tune up on my new (to me) bike. Immediately afterward I had a major issue with my bike, probably unrelated to the work they performed. They went above and beyond to remedy the issue. I'm pleased that I found them and hope to use them well into the future. read more

I am a senior citizen and can no longer balance so well on a bicycle so I wanted to buy a trike. I went to Bixby Bicycles and inquired. They had one for me to try. It was a Sun Adult Tricycle. I fell in love. Aaron was my salesperson and he was so kind, patient, friendly and informative. He answered all my questions and never seemed rushed. I decided to buy the trike they had on the sales floor. Aaron fitted the bike to me and made all the adjustments necessary for the bike to be just right for me. Then he put the car in the back of my Subaru and he had to partially disassemble it. He showed my husband exactly how to put it back together (it was simple) and told him exactly which tools and what size socket wrenches and hex wrench he would need. Later that day as we were unloading the trike from my car, the chain came off where it connects together. So the next day I brought it back to Bixby Bicycles and they put the chain back on for me free of charge. Their service was fast, friendly and they were very professional. The day I bought the bike, we drove to the bike shop in my husband's car. He had to go back to our house to get my SUV to get the trike home. While I waited for my husband to return, I rode the trike around the parking lot. There were several bikers there getting ready for a group ride. They were all friendly and supportive of me riding around on my trike. They, too, were engaging in conversations and answering questions I had about their bikes and the equipment they had as 'professional bikers'. When i returned to the store to continue to wait for my husband, I was offered a bottle of water and a chair to sit in while I waited. I had a great experience buying a trike from Bixby Bicycles. I was also given two free tune ups in the future for my trike. It was a great experience and I highly recommend Bixby Bicycles to anyone looking for a bike or needing repairs or a tune up on a current bike you own. read more
