The owner of the business rudely refused our service animal. He requested certification and I simply explained that service animals do not require certification and I I informed him of what questions he could ask. He then continued to rudely tell us he could refuse anyone for any reason...saying, he could refuse me for my brown hair as an example. As a business owner he should be educated of the laws. Loved this place!!! I was nearby for a hike, and wanted something that felt small town and had some good food. and this place is exactly that!! They had a lunch buffet for 16.50$ all you can eat. It offered a salad bar, beef stroganoff, beef tips, scalloped potatoes, corn, green beans. etc. And it was GOOD! My husband got the double burger and it was exactly what he wanted. Stopped because reviews talked highly of the burgers. Well I ended up with the lunch buffet because charging $14 for a burger with no sides is ridiculous. Then they want $4 for a side of fries and an additional $3 for a drink. The buffet was very mediocre with all the food under seasoned. Found a string in my meatloaf to top it all off. The service was the only resting feature. I doubt seriously I will stop here again. read more

Sweet potatoes fries are a $4.00 add. They were ok. I am a big fan of sweet potato fries and these were average at best. The burger was phenomenal. $12 on the burger made your way. Choice of buns, cheese and lots of toppings. Go with water and no fries if you aren't wanting to spend too much. I did tea, burger and fries that landed me at $25 with tip. This was our second trip which tells you something. We live in Georgia and were traveling to Pensacola Beach. The owners happened to be there And were very friendly. The food was excellent and good service. I just love the local non chain type business where the owner is there. Small business made America and will be strong in the future! So I've submitted over 500 reviews and I've rarely rated just a single star or 5 stars. Something has to be terribly wrong for me to give just one star or beyond my expectations to get 5 stars. Most businesses work under laws and industry standards so there are many similarities amongst the competition. So for me, something has to set them apart from the norm...sometimes it's something good...sometimes it's something bad. So a friend and I took a short trip over to this little town of Chipley specifically for breakfast. For me, I've grown extremely bored of breakfast because it's basically the same things over and over and over...eggs, toast, sausage, pancakes, bacon, hash browns, juice, butter, cereal, coffee, waffles, etc. So I rarely eat breakfast anymore...when I do, it can be ANYTHING. So leave it to say, I wasn't too enthusiastic about going out for breakfast. Both my friend and I both ordered omelets...I ordered a ham & cheese (I chose cheddar) omelet with a side of sausage patties (extra charge) and sourdough toast (extra too). Strangely enough, there was no "potato" side on the menu...no hash browns or country potatoes. We were both surprised at how large our omelets were...so that was good. I asked for some salsa which shows as an extra charge on the menu, but they didn't charge for it. Before throwing on some salsa, I tried the omelet as is. To my surprise, it was really, really, tasty! The cheese was good too. The diced ham instead my omelet was even better! The sausage patties were cooked just right and were also tasty. Now there was really too much for me to eat everything...but it was so good, I kept nibbling until my plate was cleared. Yeah, I pigged out...on breakfast...I've never, ever done that before! For a drink, I had a Coke...remember, I've grown bored of the same old, same old. Oh yeah, my friend ate all of hers too! Nothing but locals eating inside as they and the staff were calling each other by first names. They have the place decorated in a sports theme...local high school and college uniforms...some southeastern colleges too. There was also a military display but I didn't get a close look at it. The staff was really nice and could easily strike up a conversation with you. The parking lot is adequate for the restaurant size. Now this place is only open M-F for breakfast and lunch...not for dinner and not on weekends. So my experience exceeded my expectations...by a lot. I highly recommend this place for breakfast. We saw one of their "plate" pancakes going to another diner...it was huge! I'm hoping I get a chance to come back and try their lunch soon. This place is just a few miles north of Interstate 10...but I think you'll be glad you drove the extra miles to eat here...plus you'll avoid the big crowds. read more

Found BJ's during a search on Yelp while stopping to refuel on a trip back to central FL from TX. I ordered a triple burger, medium-rare with cheese and no bun, to go. The stack touched the top of my to-go container and was THE best burger I've EVER eaten. I called Brandon (the B in BJs) afterwards to let him know and he gave me some insight into his high quality approach....he makes all burgers himself and never uses frozen meat; instead, he tries to source locally as much as possible. I could tell he takes great pride in his work, and he and his wife were as kind as they come. I will definitely stop in again during future drives and HIGHLY recommend them to anyone seeking a great burger. read more

I am a HUGE burger fanatic and BJ's serves the best burger I've ever tasted! The portions are more than plenty. I can order a double burger and fries, split it with another adult and still have a hard time finishing it because it's so much food. Nicole is our favorite waitress; she is so funny, kind and attentive (and not that it matters, but her makeup is always on point!) if you haven't tried BJ's and you come across it during business hours I highly recommend stopping by! read more

Finally had a chance to check out this local place. The food was okay, but the service was horrible. Granted we arrived about an hour before closing and there were plenty of customers. Yet, after most people cleared out service did not get anything better. We were pretty much ignored. I had no drink while eating my meal, my sons fries were disgusting and severely over seasoned (like they cooked them and decided to throw the entire bottle of seasoning on them at the last moment). Passing through, yelp suggested it was 5star burger joint and had good reviews. I wasn't impressed. I ordered one of the "favorited" menu items, Philly cheese steak sandwich. I even asked the waitress if it was a good sandwich and she says, "oh yeah!" The steak appears to be precooked and so were the peppers and onions. It wasn't even hot enough to melt the cheese and served on a cold bun. Disappointing... my bill was $18.02 I guess the side item onion rings was not included with the sandwich. Very disappointed in this place. First time going back in after the covid-19 virus. The place was not very clean all the same as before. They are definitely not following the guidelines in my opinions. Also the service was terrible. The waitress were not sanitary and did not offer us everything that was on the menu. You choose your burger or sandwich then get to choose your bread- toasted sesame bun, briosh, Texas toast, sourdough bun and one other, I can't recall. Then choose all your toppings no extra charge- lots of choices. We had 2 amazing burger combos and the philly sandwich. All delicious! They also had a buffet with options that change daily and looked amazing. I definitely recommend! Only downside is no alcohol served. I love a beer with my burger. read more

We were looking for lunch while passing through, and I'm so glad we decided to check this place out! Everything tasted fresh, and we ate like kings without spending a fortune. My toddlers shared a kids burger, and I had a delightfully messy spicy chicken sandwich (with spicy bbq sauce). There are a ton of toppings you can choose for your burger or sandwich at no extra cost. It was a pleasant, clean space, and our server was very friendly, despite having several tables seated at once. We'll remember this place on our next trip to the gulf! read more
