Good Mexican food. They do have a liquor license also. Always a nice crowd inside. Give it a try!

Waited a few minutes to be seated. Sat down, and after a few minutes, she came around for drink orders. Then we waited and waited... and yup, you guessed it waited some more. Finally, she brought out a few drinks. By this time, 20 minutes passed, and it was time to go. No food order was taken or placed. Place was halfway busy. A few tables had 5 or more people. We paid for what we received. They apologized. No plans to return anytime soon

I have passed through Chipley for many years and have noticed Javier's in a shopping center. On a night to Panama City, my brother wanted Mexican. There are 2 choices in Chipley - Cancun's, which I have had, and Javier's. Javier's had a higher rating on Yelp so that is where we went. Javier's doesn't really stick out though so you have to be watching for it. Our waitress seated us and was very friendly. She joked about being out of our drink orders. I called her bluff haha. Salsa soon followed. The salsa was tomato-ey and mild. I asked our waitress what do I have to eat at Javier's if this was my only time. I have been to so many Mexican restaurants that taste similar. She made a few recommendations but the one that stuck out to me was the Burrito California with pork. It's a humongous burrito topped with salsa verde and cheese and stuffed with bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, rice, beans, and your choice of meat. This burrito was phenomenal! The pork was cut and pulled. Every bit of it was tender and seasoned very well in fajita seasoning. I made a request to go light on the rice and beans, as well as, top the burrito with extra salsa verde. My requests were met exceptionally. I asked for some sour cream that added some coolness to the spicy salsa verde. I never expected to have a burrito this good from Javier's. We also ordered some ChoriQueso, which is what you expect, chorizo in queso. Chorizo is Mexican sausage and putting it in queso is a brilliant idea! Sweet tea was sweet and refreshing. But not as sweet as I've had from other Mexican restaurants. Javier's was a very pleasant surprise. I would not say it is the best ever but the burrito alone gives it almost a 5 star. I will be nice.

We saw a billboard off the highway for this restaurant, so we decided to give it a try. Location is a little unsuspecting because it is dark and next to a dollar tree, but the interior is quite large and well decorated. We were seated right away, and the server gave us chips and salsa immediately. The chips were nice and fresh and warm, and the salsa was fantastic. ServerO is great. He gave us good recommendations and said that everything that has a hat on the menu is usually their most popular. As for the food, we ordered the fajitas mix. I had chicken, beef, and shrimp for two. It is about $27 and came with a lot of food. Definitely not for two, maybe even three. The rice plate came with rice, beans, avocado, as well as two sets of tortillas, which is about three each. It came in a serving plate and was overall pretty good. Would recommend getting again for the amount of food and the taste. We also ordered the torta. Unfortunately, for this one, it wasn't that great. The torta is just a sandwich, pretty much, with whatever kind of meat you have inside and some tomatoes and lettuce. We got the carne asada, but it was super dry and chewy. Would not recommend the carne asada and the torta. This one was about $13, I believe. In total, it was around 55 with tax and tip for a party of 4, so it was actually pretty well priced. We left pretty full, so I would recommend, but wouldn't say it was the best food we have had but good enough for us on the road drive back.

We got the chunk guacamole to start per the staffs recommendation. Everyone loved it. The 4 of us all got different versions of the street tacos which were fantastic. The waiter here was quite possibly the nicest person I have ever met at a restaurant. Quick to make suggestions and just unbelievably kind and polite even though he had his hands full. We have travelled to the area a few times and always make a point to stop here for lunch at least once. It's a solid option and we will be back again next year!

You definitely get your money's worth on the margaritas--they pour them nice and heavy. Service was friendly and attentive. The only hiccup was a small misunderstanding with my order. I asked for the Arrachera Burrito but ended up receiving the Carne Asada Plate instead. The waitress' English wasn't the strongest, so rather than sending it back I just went with it--and honestly, I'm glad I did. The Carne Asada was delicious. Despite the mix-up, the quality of the food and drinks, plus the great service, made it a really enjoyable meal. I'll definitely go back.
