Great customer service was in Chipley visiting family and the food was subpar to the Tallahassee location.

Best Mexican Food! We were camping at FL Caverns State Park and drove into Chipley for dinner. The lunch menu was still available, so my husband and I ordered two different lunch specials. The portion sizes were as large as some of the dinner sizes we have gotten at other Mexican restaurants. The food was hot and delicious! The horchata was the best I've tasted. We actually just came here to sit at the bar and have a beer but I ended up getting some tacos as well. Im an easy going guy so I take just about any situation in stride for the most part. So we sat at the bar and I realized immediately that the bar is about six or seven inches too high. While sitting in the chair, the bar was chest level. Very awkward. The server immediately brought out chips and salsa which was nice because the chips were warm and the salsa was pretty good. I ordered Al Pastor Tacos. It almost blew my mind when the waiter asked me if I wanted corn or flour tortillas. Al Pastor Tacos on flour tortillas? Seriously? Maybe people around here prefer them that way and they adapt to local tastes. They brought out four tacos and a side of beans and rice. The tacos were just ok and by that I mean they were edible. I didn't taste that deliciousness you normally get from pastor marinade. Also, no pineapple on the taco. This was the first time in my life I didn't eat every taco on a plate in front of me. Beans and rice were nothing special. I had to get out of this place when the server asked me if everything was good for the tenth time. I'm not kidding. 10 times. We were only there 35 or 40 minutes. Seriously, let me eat these crappy tacos in peace. Once or twice is ok but ten times? Uggggh. read more

Excellent food! I usually order a seafood chimichanga, but they don't have one here, so I went with the burrito Blanco, my sister got a ribeye and her grandson went with a quesadilla. It was all great! Will probably rotate between here and another Mexican restaurant in town since they have a shrimp chimichanga. read more

As we drove from North Florida to New Orleans, we got off an exit to find lunch. This place was POPPIN'. Many cars and people so we decided it must be good! I have a lunch special for like $7 that had so many flavors and textures. I had S.P.#15, chimichanga with chicken, beans and rice. I've never had one, it was incredible. Wayyyy too big but for the price, so worth it! The service was great, Rosie was our waiter-she suggested I eat that meal as it was the most common ordered meal for lunch. GREAT CHOICE. Do not come here if you're looking for actual Mexican food. It is not well seasoned at all. The salsas just tasted like tomato and tomatillo. The aguas frescas tasted like water with sugar but no specific taste. The service was okay but not the best. We all left most of our food on the plates. Will not be coming back. read more

After hearing such great things about this place from the locals, I was mildly disappointed when I ate there. The queso was decent, but the kitchen got my order wrong the first time and I had to send it back. The prices were definitely high considering the amount of food you get. This is one the best Mexican restaurants I have visited. My family and I stopped for lunch while traveling through the town. The lunch specials will not disappoint. The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are huge. Everything appeared to be made from fresh ingredients. Even the pink lemonade was made from real lemons...no Minute Maid fountain drink here. Our server was nice, but he did not have a good understanding of English. An amazing find, with delicious food. Traveling West across Florida we took the Chipley exit and found this place to eat at. The food was really good, hot and tasty. We stopped for an afternoon appetizer and a marg. They have beer but no margaritas. Ordered queso to go with our chips; flavor was ok but very runny. Then we ordered beef and cheese nachos. Not a lot of burger but quite a bit of grease. Certainly nothing exciting. Not sure what the signature dish is here but a salsa with some zip and a margarita special would be my must-haves if I owned the place. Server was friendly. This is an excellent restaurant for the entire family or for a quick lunch. They have a large selection from the menu and great deals on lunch specials. I eat there at least once a week. The service is super fast, friendly and the prices are really great - a good (cooked to order) lunch with tea and tip might run about $6-$7. You can get a fast, excellent meal here for about the same cost as McDonalds, but, with healthier high quality food and nice atmosphere. A must try! Waiter no speak English . I asked if they have fresh guacamole and they make it at the table side . he shook his head and said yes. Then he brings us pre made guacamole that tasted like crapp . We ordered our food .I told him no onions once again he shook his head and I think he said ok . As we sat there swatting Flys and Nats waiting on our food . The food was brought to us he said somthing not sure what it was . There was extra onions all over . And they charged me extra for extra onions when I said no onions .
