Replacing lens with out buying glasses all the time. In the long run Boston vision and lens crafters is a better deal. I'm done buying there

To preface this, I have never needed eye glasses before so I was new to the eye exam process…read more Pros: -Office and waiting area is nice. -The technician that did some initial tests on my eyes was informative and explained everything. Cons: -I felt rushed through the whole process. -poor communication skills from Dr Burkhart and the office staff -poor customer service skills from Dr Burkhart and the office staff Dr Burkhart didn't explain anything he was doing. He told me that I have an astigmatism. I asked him "what is that?" He replied "Wait!" He proceeded to put on a video and then left the room saying "watch this". After watching the video explain an astigmatism, I waited for about five minutes while he was working on another patient. He then came back and said "you get it?". He handed me my prescription and showed me to the check out receptionist. No conversation, no time for my questions, just poor customer service. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I bet the other review with 4 stars is someone who works there. Oh yeah, and when I went to talk to their guy who sells the frames and lenses, he said he couldn't help he because he had to go to Nashua (4:40pm....prob wanted to go home). Im definitely not buying my lenses and frames there!

"They went home because they had no patients". This was after speaking to numerous people. No one very helpful. When you call you get somebody from corporate who does not know anything. We were sent to a different office (which was almost impossible to find. Of course receptionist did not know what to do. Would never go back. Sister has changed eye doctors. Would give negative stars if I could

I was caught off guard and confused by being told that I booked a virtual eye exam. The woman who was checking me in then rudely comments "it says virtual right when you book online". Again, I'm confused because I have never heard of a virtual eye exam and I've been wearing glasses since childhood. I then tried to show her the email I received to confirm my appointment, which indicates nowhere that I scheduled a virtual appointment, to point out that the location of the appointment is at MyEyeDr at 8 Stiles Rd, Salem NH. Her response is "yeah that's the location". She also noted that "this just went into effect yesterday". And also that she tried calling me to make me aware that this was telehealth, I checked my voicemails and the only message I have from MyEyeDr is a voicemail from September 13 confirming an appointment for September 20 (which I had to reschedule to today, September 27). My overall experience was very poor, the woman checking me in made me feel like I was doing something wrong by showing up in person for an eye exam. Very rude, won't be returning. *to note- before posting this review I went to book another appointment to see there is any mention of a virtual appointment, and there is not.

I had a disappointing experience during a routine contact lens exam at Windham Family Eye Care…read more When I arrived, the front desk staff member told me she was locked out of the office computer system and could not log in to access insurance information. She even showed me the screen and explained that she couldn't access the insurance portals. I also observed multiple usernames and passwords written on sticky notes attached to the monitor. Because of this, the office could not verify my insurance benefits through Davis Vision. Despite not knowing my copay or contact lens allowance, I was told I needed to pay something and ended up purchasing a box of contacts for $85 out of pocket. A few weeks later I received a voicemail saying my contacts were ready and that I also owed $125 for the contact lens exam, which had not been disclosed during the visit. When I called to ask about it, I was told my contact lens allowance had already been used simply because the office billed the exam. This was frustrating because I had already paid for contacts out of pocket specifically because the office could not verify my insurance. After raising concerns, the exam fee was eventually waived, but only after a lengthy discussion. Overall the experience involved significant disorganization, lack of insurance verification, and unclear communication about fees and insurance benefits.
