Despite not knowing my copay or contact lens allowance, I was told I needed to pay something and ended up purchasing a box of contacts for $85 out of pocket. A few weeks later I received a voicemail saying my contacts were ready and that I also owed $125 for the contact lens exam, which had not been disclosed during the visit. When I called to ask about it, I was told my contact lens allowance had already been used simply because the office billed the exam. This was frustrating because I had already paid for contacts out of pocket specifically because the office could not verify my insurance. After raising concerns, the exam fee was eventually waived, but only after a lengthy discussion. Overall the experience involved significant disorganization, lack of insurance verification, and unclear communication about fees and insurance benefits.

Now i doubt my frame is really burberry or just a knock-off and sell it for $600 for profit. I paid almost $700 for those pairs. My online glasses are better quality than theirs. I booked an annual eye exam, which is covered in full by my vision insurance. I received a bill months later for a "medical exam" which they billed to my medical insurance. I spoke with billing several times, each time explaining the situation. I was told on several occasions that someone would speak to a manager and get back to me about correcting the issue. I also provided the information for my vision insurance several times. Some of the people I spoke with were helpful and agreed it was an error made on their end; however, I still never received a call back. It's now been months. When I called in today, the woman I spoke with said there's no record of my calls, that they don't have a record of my vision insurance, that she couldn't take my vision insurance because the claim was already filed as medical, and that there's nothing they can do. Tallman is billing my medical insurance, and costing me out of pocket costs, for something that should be fully covered by vision insurance.

I had to wait 30 minutes for my appointment. Had a 10 am appointment and waited and waited almost canceled as I had another appointment after. I finally got seen and they were apologetic, and I had a good through evaluation. Still have good sight and happy to still see clearly with no devices. I would recommend but plan on waiting around.

I verified with UHC that LensCrafter's was in UnitedHealthcare's vision coverage on Nov 28. I also verified that the doctor we were seeing Dr. Abram was listed. The check-in female looked up the appointment and announced couldn't find my father's insurance on the portal. The check-in person said, "Perhaps the doctor is not with UHC". I said that was not true. Dr. Abram is listed with UHC. Then she said we could pay out-of-pocket. She asked if we wanted to reschedule. I said we did not. I got the impression she did not want to deal with a 92-year-old who uses a walker. He loves to read detective novels but needs new glasses. My husband and I both go to Dr. Abram's office (we have EyeMed insurance) and usually the check-in woman is snippy but mostly professional. I don't think she likes her job or old people. We can find another place that takes UHC and EyeMed.

The representative did day that for my next prescription the optometrist may give me a two year prescription, if I ask. Which is why I gave an extra star. Also my initial purchase of Oakley frames was a great deal, super low price. The Oakleys frames are durable but my vision is impaired because the lenses are scratched. The sales reps were excellent. They should have informed me of the repair policy.
