Good place to go if you have a large group or varied tastes in food or drink. There is a central bar area surrounded by the booths and tables of the dining area. Televisions are spaced around the facility and are not obtrusive or distracting. We were on the far side by the windows and there was a wait station close by with staged pitchers of tea and water so refills happened quickly. The menu is huge (yuge!) and ranges from pizza and wings to steak and salad. My Black and Bleu Burger was cooked to order and though a not-large 5 ounces, it filled me up as it ate better than it read. The fries were small and crisp and the ginger beer is brewed by the brewhouse! The potato skins and calamari were good appetizer choices and the beer and beverage selection is large and varied. On a recent weekend evening visit, it was very busy and our experienced server made a couple of minor errors with our service and orders. The parking lot lights were out along one side of the building and it was complete dark. Hopefully the lights or electricity will be fixed shortly but watch your step if it's dark! read more

Bring back the blackened chicken potato and I will add one star. BJs is one of my favorite chains that came over from California. If you are looking for a good dessert especially then look no further than their pizzokie. I am not sure if they still do them but we like getting the big family sized one to share so we can get different flavors. My favorite flavor is Oreo though! Their prime rib dinner is really good as well as their chicken broccoli pasta. They used to have a delicious potato filled with chicken broccoli Alfredo sauce and cheese but they took it off the menu. I hope they bring it back. read more

I have been to many BJs Brewhouses and have never been disappointed as I have here. I ordered a steak and she forgot to ask how I wanted it cooked. I had to call her back and she just said okay. So my steak was way over cooked which was annoying and then they stated it would be another 10 min if I sent back. So I just cut off the burnt ends and ate the inside. The shrimp was pretty good. The asparagus was the best part along with the baked potato. My friend got the Baked Ziti and he was the only one who was satisfied with their meal in the group of 9. The calamari was very poor. About a third of it was just fried breading crumbs with no calamari in the pieces, the bacon on the sandwich was undercooked. The baked potato was so over baked it was barely cut-able with a serrated knife. After dinner I had stomach cramping all night long into the next morning. read more

I enjoyed the ambiance. My food came out hot and fast. The food was good but not everyone enjoyed theirs equally. I ordered lemon zesty chicken with Brussel sprouts. I didn't taste much seasoning other than the lemon. The honey chicken crisp salad was ok. The service left a bit to be desired tho. We had a pretty large party of about 25 ppl and 6 kids. They forgot to input an appetizer and the food didn't come out together. Overall I would say that the place is good, they have a LOT of options, and the atmosphere is really nice. read more

Don't waste your time if your looking for great food. They should be a beverage only option. We ordered multiple appetizers to share with the large group. The wings were raw in the middle, the nachos a were huge and supposed to have chicken on them. The spinach dip was great but the side of chips that it came with were the crumbles in the bottom of the bag. I had the Parmesan crusted chicken and mashed potatoes. Went to this restaurant with some friends to celebrate a birthday. They have a great menu with many good looking items. I had the Cherry Glazed Salmon with asparagus, and I enjoyed it. My friends had burgers which were great. Someone else had mushrooms that looked delicious. One other had a gluten free dessert, which she raves about. Of the seven folks in our party, we had zero complaints. Food and service was wonderful. They have numerous beers, several which appear to be exclusive to this place. I highly recommend this spot. This is my first time having BJ's since leaving the location I worked at in temple Texas back in 2019, so I thought I'd try some things I had never had before. Started off with the gluten free, thin crust great white pizza, so good! The flavor met my expectations and went beyond. If you asked me to pick out the gluten free pizza vs regular, I wouldn't be able to tell. Finished off with the pizookie trio with the strawberry shortcake, salted caramel, and white chocolate macadamia, all so good, but I had to finish the salted caramel one. 10/10 will definitely be trying more of their gluten free options. read more

Ever have a grown man pull an alcoholic beverage out of another grown mans hand because hes 35, looks 40, and lost their ID? I have- here. Needless to say, i said- cancel our order we are headin out now.. For the record, my NC DL was lost and i havent been able to get a new one because NC had a 3 month wait to get an appt for the DMV license agency. In 3 months, this is the first time ive been denied a drink even when i have no ID. (Im only even checked 5% of the time). I showed them everything in my wallet, my SSN, my conceal carry permit, my 5 credit cards with my name on it, my student ID, my EMT, paramedic, and all other medical permits, and even a picture of my DL on my phone. But when i took a sip of my Wifes drink, The manager literally came over and pulled it out of my hand like i was 6 and stickin a fork in an electrical outlet. It isnt illegal to sell to someone without an DL, it is illegal to sell to someone under 21, and its very obvious im not anywhere near 21. I have frequented this brewhouse a fair amount for a variety of positives: 1. Despite how large this place is, it's not overly loud. 2. Their brews are decent. More importantly, they carry a great selection of local beers - like Jacakalope's Bearwalker. 3. They have lots of TVs, so it's easy to catch football or a Preds game here from many seats in the house. 4. They serve one of my favorite beers, Jackalope's Bearwalker, on the reg. 5. A group of peculiar eaters can find something in the book that will suit their tastes and/or restrictions. 6. They have Bearwalker on draft here most all of the time. (Ok, I'll quit.) Aside from my obvious love for maple brown brew, this place isn't too bad food-wise despite its literal book of a menu. The service has always stood out to me here. No matter how big or small the group, or where I've been sat, I have always had great service - until my most recent visit - but I'll come back to that. Apparently, this is a chain, which I was unaware of. The Boro location is the first I have ever heard of and visited of this brand. It's definitely nicer than a sports bar, but not fine dining. Whether you're into sports or not, BJ's allows plenty of room for both types of diners. The ladies' room has always been super dark, which isn't a huge deal, just a little odd since the rest of the restaurant is not as dark. Unfortunately, their restroom is also most always messy and not stocked. As I hinted earlier, book menus are normally a clear indication the food will be subpar. For the many things I've tried here, this has been both false and true. GOOD: Mediterranean Pita Tacos, House Top Sirloin, Honey Sriracha Brussels Sprouts, Chicken Pot Stickers MEH: Avocado Egg Rolls, Potato Skins Sliders, Couscous Mac n' Cheese, Garlic Parmesan Knots, and the Caprese Piadina. Let's get back to that last visit, shall we? I met a small group of folks here on a Monday evening. The restaurant was not busy despite the hour. I sat for awhile before the server came to greet me, which was ok since I was enthralled in conversation. I ordered a water to start, indicating I'd be studying the menu to decide what adult beverage to order. More of our group arrived, and from there the service went from ho-hum to bad. As time continued to tick by, I decided to put real effort into figuring out what I wanted to eat. Having a veg-only day, I found it difficult to narrow down the vegetarian options in the famed novel of a menu outside of the salad page(s). This genuinely surprised me - especially since a gluten-free denotation exists. It made the food search rather annoying. One of my tablemates ordered a beverage, but I couldn't get the server's attention to place my alcoholic drink order too. At first, I assumed she couldn't see me trying to get her attention. It wasn't until she took his food order that I deliberately leaned over to make eye contact. While I normally order beer here, I decided to try something different. I first ordered the Sparkling Sangria, but she advised they were out of prosecco. In wanting to order something quick, I settled for the Blood Orange Pom Sangria (which was listed just above the first sangria I had tried to order - with zero pricing, by the way). I ordered my food at the same time opting for a Caprese Piadina - which I had not yet tried at that point. Some time later, my drink arrived. It had sticky liquid mostly on the top half of the bottom of the glass (if that makes any sense), and I noticed it lacked the cinnamon stick listed in the description. It tasted ok. When I received the bill later, at $8.95 it cost more than my entree and absolutely not worth it. As far as the piadina was concerned, it was overcooked, too garlicy...yet lacked flavor. It also lacked the marinara sauce listed in the description. Essentially, it was a restaurant's take on a Hot Pocket and executed poorly (...or well depending on how you want to look at it). 3.5 It is what it is so I am rounding up. BJ's is a well-known (and, pretty consistent) brand. Coming here and expecting anything other than what they do/who they are makes no sense -- menu-wise. The experience fell off a bit, for me, wrt service. But the evening was pleasant so I am going to go the way of angels rather than that of wrath. Let's get the problem(s) out of the way first: the service. I came here on a Monday night during the threat of bad weather (there was none). As such, the restaurant was fairly empty. I thought the lack of people = attentive, friendly service. Unfortunately, I was mistaken. During the entire evening, I never received water (despite having an alcoholic beverage to drink). I had to ask for silverware and when I received my coffee, the cup was slammed on to the table. Service ranged from perfunctory to borderline rude. I didn't get the disconnect but wanting to keep things light for my tablemates, I kept my opinions to myself. In an act of graciousness, I tipped over 20% and kept it moving. But, were I to come back here, I would avoid this particular server. Hopefully she was just having a bad day. With that out of the way, the dining experience was fine. Pleasant. Exactly what you might imagine from a casual, ubiquitous, larger chain. The menu is a book. Seriously. It's heavy, collated and has more than 17 pages. Take your time going over it. That said, because of the heft, there's something for everyone so BJ's could/should be a crowd favorite. From drink/food specials to dietary restrictions, the menu had it covered. I can't complain. I began my meal with a $5 house margarita. It's a Monday special. I'm glad I only spent $5 because my glass tasted like a pint-full of margarita mix. It was hard to choke down. It was decently strong, but the texture was all off (I ordered mine on the rocks). I waited until my ice melted (because I had no water) so the mix was diluted enough to slurp down. Despite the cost, I figured I was done with that order. Gluten-frees items are clearly marked on the menu and found throughout, so I had many options for dinner. I went with the barbacoa chicken. It didn't look as pretty as the menu picture but it was pretty enough, decently-sized and pretty tasty. Of note, the salsa that topped the chicken (seasoned and juicy, not dry) was the star. Initially, I was unsure of the use of feta cheese in the dish (why not queso fresco or cotija?) but it paired well with the black beans. My rice was a bit overdone but no big deal. I paired this with a BJ's brand Berry Burst Cider. Unsurprisingly, it skews sweet but I didn't find it cloying. Because it's not often I can get dessert these days, I went for it. I ate every last piece of the gluten-free chocolate chip pizookie (I sort of hate myself for writing that word). It's a soft cookie served in a hot skillet topped with ice cream (I opted for the Ghirardelli chocolate). It was the decadent morsel I deserved. To cut the sweet, I ordered the aforementioned cup of slammed-down black coffee. I had to ask for sugar. I didn't dare press my luck by asking for cream. 3.5 makes sense, right? read more

They were never to a BJ's before since they're from Kansas City and Cincinnati. I started with an Abbey Quad as my craft beer of choice. I switched to the Goliath Imperial and can't tell which was better since they were both pretty good. We started out with honey sriracha brussels sprouts for the table. Everyone agrees the menu has something for everyone. I had the Peruvian Quinoa with Shrimp while my colleagues enjoyed the seafood tacos, BBQ 1/2 rack of ribs, Tavern Cut and bone in wings. Although this visit they "up'd" their menu and let me tell ya, for the love of god, whatever you do, do NOT order their the "new" brisket "flavored" nachos. All your going to get is some chips with brisket flavored bbq sauce. We got our cell phone lights to see if we can locate some brisket meat, we could not. Attached is the picture for you to find it yourselves. What makes this experience worse is that all the bottom chips were stuck to the paper....permanently. The name should have tipped me off, because this place leaves you feeling screwed. Call ahead seating was only available if I downloaded an app and created a profile. $80 (pre tip) for 2 entrees, a beer and a house (not top shelf) margarita. Which I would normally feel fine with, if the food was decent. It wasn't. The food was sub-par at best. Sides were burned or raw. Charred Brussels sprouts and sautéed green beans that were mainly cold and oily. We ordered an app to share. They completely forgot our app, and many items on their menu were not available and we didn't know they were unavailable until we tried to order them. At the 50 minute mark, I had to flag down our waiter and ask if the app was ready? He returned 10 mins later with our meals. His reply "idk who's on apps back there?" We didn't even redeem our free dessert. We just wanted the check and to get out of there. I paid on the app, which automatically popped on a 20% tip. I left the tip on because kitchen issues aren't the waiters fault, but you could tell he was new and not receiving any support. I witnessed a table next to us send back food that was burned and a salad that was "slimy." It was almost comical how the night went. Last night we went to BJ's for the first time for a friend's bday party. When we arrived the restaurant was only at about 30% capacity and they sat us where 80% of the people were - in a hot room off to the side where someone would have to awkwardly sit at the end of the table in foot traffic. We asked to be moved to one of the tables in the main dining area, and the server, who was really nice was happy to help. The hostess was not nice and was sitting down at a table on her phone when we walked in. Not rolling silverware or working on something. Just sitting. It took about 20 secs before we were even acknowledged. We had three excellent servers who did the best they could under the circumstances. They handed us a few 4 page paper menus that were disposable and stapled together. As we started to look at the menu, we realized that there was a huge selection and were pleased. But, when we made our selection, they were out of everything that we asked for. Literally every item that we wanted was unavailable "due to COVID." This was the same reason they didn't have enough kitchen staff and that the air conditioner wasn't working right. We asked for a manager to come over with a pen and mark out everything on the menu that we couldn't order (like 50% of the menu), and she very professionally did so. Again did her best under the circumstances. We ordered the potato wedges, shrimp tacos, and the Alaskan salmon. The tacos tasted good (but apparently weren't). I'll get to that later. They only had side and Caesar salads (25% of the ones on the menu), and they came out eventually with barely any dressing on them. I asked for more and it never came. The salmon was a very small portion and the broccoli and quinoa salad came out cold / lukewarm. We weren't sure what was supposed to be served cold or hot but the food we got was neither. When we asked the manager about the food temps they gave us a military discount (which they didn't even ask us about in the first place or I would've showed ID). We spent damn near $100 for a meal that we could've gotten at chili's for $45, including tip. So this morning we are talking about the whole experience, and honestly were shocked that it even happened - like a bad dream. That's about the point that my stomach started churning loudly and I vomited for about thirty mins straight. I made myself eat all that food, and it was going right down the drain. I have a few recommendations. We'll see if anyone follows up. 1. Modify your menu! If you don't have something, it's better to appear that you're focusing on specific entrees rather than having to say no all the time. It's the last thing that a customer wants to hear. 2. Fix the AC / close off that back room to save the AC for the main floor. It was like they were trying to seat all the customers away from their "break" area right in the middle of the place. It will also improve the environment a lot. 3. Always ask if anyone serves in the military. 4. Clean your kitchen or move some servers to kitchen duty. I feel like shit this morning because food was underprepared or surfaces were not cleaned. I just hope that I am the exception to the rule and that no one else got sick. I have always been a fan of BJ's and hadn't been to one in a few years since I live in an area where there are none. We decided to go to this location and due to Covid it was a long wait. They really have the whole social distance to the extreme but that's fine. My complaint was with the food. The pizza was not very good missing something and not enough sauce. The wedge salad was just ok. The server was pleasant and efficient but the food Was not as good as it used to be. I am sure at some point we will give them another try but not having the pizza. read more

If I could give this place a negative rating I would! I absolutely hate this place and the rude management staff. I have had multiple issues there with pick ups and dealing with management. The employees are nice and friendly, but the management staff is out of touch and just doesn't care. Do not waste your money on this garbage restaurant, they are the definition of corporate and uncaring. I'm a driver, but also a potential customer which this company doesn't seem to understand or care. They supposedly never received the orders even though they are confirmed and they never take responsibility. It might not mean much to this company that time is money for me, but it means a hell of a lot. If I'm sitting there for 10 minutes than go inside and find out they don't have the order that's another 20 minutes the customer has to wait because of their incompetence. This has been an ongoing issue with this restaurant. I have even eaten their a few times, but never again! We came in to see about staying to eat, the blond hostess at the door was super rude and unhelpful. I ask about a menu and she rolled her eyes and said the menu is online. Went to sit off to the side on the seats that are easily cleaned and she was irritated with us yet again about sitting to go over the menu. I am just appalled she seemed so non unhappy about every move we made. So please take in mind I did not bother to eat here because of the poor attitude of the first people I saw coming in the door.
