BJ's can come off a little intimidating with its prices but I think its worth! I came with a decent size group for a friend's birthday party. The place was pretty busy but the waiters did a great job at serving and being patient with us. It did take a while for us to get our checks but it was understandable. All the dishes that was ordered at our table seemed really delicious. I got a salad (forgot its name) and it got me full believe or not! If its your friend or your birthday then you can request a free dessert for them! Its a smaller version than the original but hey, its free! I would recommend this place for first timers but I don't know if BJ's would be my top 3 choices to go to next time. read more

Came in around 6:30pm. Not very busy with lots of open tables. Still a 15-20 minute wait. So probably short staffed. No big deal plenty of places suffering that this days. Head to the bar to grab a drink before while we wait. Bar about have full with at least 6 open stools. Spend the next 10 minutes trying to get one of the TWO bartenders attention. Turns out they are Olympic level eye contact evaders. Turns out one of the two bartenders is the manager (found out from the hostess). The actual bartender helps a couple next to me and finally makes eye contact with me and I say "hey when you get a chance I'd like to order a couple of drinks" he just looks down and walks away. Like away around the corner. Like away from the bar. So walk back to the hostess and say "can I just place a drink order with you since I can't get either bartender to help me". That's when she identifies the manager. By the way here are two hostesses. She says "I can't help you but you should try over at the bar". I replied "I just tried at the bar for 10 minutes". She says "you should try again, since we are really busy". Crap service with a craptastic manager. Go anywhere else on the planet and you will have a better experience. read more

This just wasn't the worst service but most embarrassing ever. We chose Saturday the 4th celebrating my granddaughter's 12th birthday. Waited 15 minutes before taking our drink orders. Never asked if we were splitting the ticket. The food was cold came at different times. My son never received his butter for his potatoe . The prime rib was horrible. My order had two gluten free medium RARE burgers and some broccoli. They did well with gluten, but BOTH burgers came extra well done (hard meat with zero pink whatsoever) with wet buns (no idea how...). I obviously didn't order from there because they are known for their burgers, but I ordered because I knew the meat would be thick and juicy since I have the option to pick rare or medium rare. It's not one of those thin buns that cook all the way through like at fast food places. What a disappointment. To top it off the buns were soaked like they prepared it on a wet surface. Good food, good service and plenty of TV's to watch any game that's on, and they have Pepsi products, which is always nice. I was a little disappointed in the nachos. They don't offer shredded chicken with them and the scoop of guacamole that comes with it, is not very big and it isn't proportionate to the tray of nachos. read more

Overall one of the better chains to go to. The food is good. I would not say great. Everything seems more on the heavy side - more fried, processed and potentially frozen before cooked (can't confirm, just tastes that way). I think there should be a smaller menu and more specific items where it all can be made fresh and even sourced locally. Staff was friendly, and it was a clean environment, so there was that. Very large beer selection and cocktails. I could see myself coming here for a beer and watching a game on their big screen tv's. Big bar area with lots of seating so it does not feel too crowded. read more

Tried bjs carry out again after a while of swearing it off. Ordered two of the southern fried chicken lunch specials. When I got it home I wondered what happened to the chicken part of it. I removed the tiny chicken piece from each container to weigh them. One was 2.3 oz and the other was 2.8 oz. Now I wasn't expecting a pound of chicken but 2 oz is embarrassing and quite frankly a rip off. I have pictures of the digital scale with each piece of chicken on it to show I am not making up numbers. Come on bjs chicken is a cheap ingredient and you gave me 25 cents worth. On the plus side the mobile checkout and curbside delivery was excellent and my order was correct. I should say that bjs did seem to address that issue and I was satisfied with the service as opposed to in the past. read more

This is a regular spot for my family. I love how many options there are and their beer is excellent! They have a great happy hour from 3-6, I believe, offering $3, $5, and $6 dollar apps! They also offer $1 off draft beer and have a few other drink specials! If I am not their during happy hour my favorite dishes are the BBQ Ranch Chicken Pizza, Ahi Tuna Salad, Rib Platter, Mahi Fish Tacos, or just a simple soup and salad. Like I said, they have a huge menu with great options. We usually visit at least once per week. The service is usually amazing and the food is good quality and comes out hot. Check it out! read more

Man. This is tough for servers and staff. Food was good and I loved the hustle and kindness but i am literally one of 4 groups tonight dining in. God Bless them for working so hard. So I went to BJ's this Monday night. My mom had just got to Austin and she asked me to take her to the one of her favorite places in town( was the first restaurant we ate when I moved to U.S., so she is attached to it). Well, we ordered the usual stuff, beer for me, my wife and my dad. For her, we ordered her favorite cocktail: Cosmo! The first one was served correctly, I mean, in its proper glass. Well, she ordered a second one and surprisely it was served in a Beer glass . "It has the same amount of alcohol" said the waitress! Okay, let's move on... My mom was thirsty and she ordered another one and we had another surprise: once again, was served in a beer glass. A different one this time but, when I asked for the right glass, I got the same answer from the waitress: "it's the same amount of alcohol" Good to know, well bring my Flatbread, but instead to bring in a platter, bring in a bowl. It's a chain restaurant!! Lots of seating and daily specials. You won't be hungry leaving here - the portions are large. I went with a rack of ribs and thought they were pretty good. But the pizookies - are ridiculous. Call the dentist and have a ton of sugar. Save a little room and share one with a friend. read more

We haven't tried the food yet but this review is about putting together a to go order, & caring about the customer. We ordered fish & chips with homemade tartar sauce. We were looking forward to trying the sauce. It was missing from the bag. We immediately called to report this, and the person who answered sounded like they could not care less. Really glad we happen to have some bottled sauce in the fridge. Update the food was great! I had the brisket burger with white cheddar mashed potatoes. I ordered it mid-rare, knowing it would just keep heating up in the delivery process. It was perfect! Had a char, but was just the right pink inside. It was huge - I couldn't finish. She enjoyed the fish (still pissed about the tartar sauce) & chips...which were nice & crispy but fluffy on the inside. Next time we'll ask for extra tartar sauce & had better receive at least what comes with it. read more

It surprises me that the overall rating is only 3 stars. This is my go to place for Happy Hour and Dinner. The menu is huge, so with a group everyone is bound to find something that pleases them. In most Austin restaurants you have to choose your cuisine before going out to eat - but not here. There brewery puts out really good beer. Try the Hefeweizen, my favorite. BTW they have a good Happy Hour with appetizers and beer price reductions. The hamburgers are really good, the Bleu Cheese and bacon is my favorite. Wait staff have always been friendly. read more

We also had their craft beer (hefeweizen), which was awesome. The only low point was the service, which started out great, but then was non existent. I usually love BJ's but this specific restaurant was different. Had a big top of 14 and we understand how it is. Yet we were treated with horrible service, and terrible food. I do not recommend coming to this place. They care more about theirs-selves than they do about customer service read more

We came in last night and were generally disappointed, especially at their price point. Things started badly when the greeter was nowhere to be found for a couple of minutes when we entered the restaurant. Eventually someone, who I later learned was a manager, came upfront and seated us. A waitress timely appeared and took our drink orders. I had their Jeremiah Red, an Irish style red ale that I particularly enjoy. When we got the menus, we were surprised at how much the prices have increased. I considered the New Orleans Jambalaya, but remembered how watered down (way too little red pepper and other spices) it has been the last several years and at $23.45 I wasn't willing to chance it. We both settled for the Jumbo Spaghetti and Meatballs at $18.75. My beer promptly arrived and it was delightful as usual. Our food arrived after a while and it was tasty and in generous portions. My partner saved half of hers for lunch, while I ate all of mine and it was really too much even for a hungry adult. When we were ordering, we observed that instead of the usual garlic bread that spaghetti is usually served with, BJ's spaghetti entre features a Garlic knot. When we started eating, we noticed that neither of our meals contained the promised Garlic knot. We flagged down our waitress and pointed out that missing Garlic Knots and she said she would get some from the kitchen. As we were finishing our meal, the waitress came back to report that the kitchen was out of Garlic Knots and that they had failed to inform her of that. She offered to get a manager when I expressed my frustration with the missing Garlic Knot and soon a manager appeared. I told him that I had been very considerate of restaurant managers and their staff during and after Covid, but that it had been a while since then and they should have recovered from the staffing and supply chain shortages. I expressed frustration that they had run out of part of our meal and had failed to tell us of that in a timely manner so that we could have ordered something else instead. He didn't really have an adequate response and this review followed. Our waitress wasn't very attentive, but I think most of that was that she wasn't well led. She didn't bring out any of our food or beverages and didn't even check in with us to see that the food was to our liking. When we needed anything from her, we had to flag her down. It took her at least 20 minutes to find out that they were out of Garlic knots and she didn't offer solution to the problem. The manager was similarly unapologetic for not having his waitress timely notified of the missing Garlic knots or of the missing Garlic knots at all. He wasn't problem solving either. A better manager would have better managed his waitress and his kitchen. I think we will skip this BJ's location from our eating out rotation for six months or so to give them time to sort out their issues. A week or two earlier we dined at a local family owned and run Italian Restaurant for at least 20% less and without ANY complaints. read more

First time here as a party of 8, waited 30 minutes for a table, ready to order and told the waitress twice we were ready to order and she said okay twice then kept us waiting. I had a very chewy unbreakable piece of chicken breast along with a dead grasshopper in the chicken gravy. The manager had the audacity to ask if I wanted to see the menu. Didn't offer to take the meal off the bill until my mother mentioned it. Our waitress comes back to say the manager told her about the 'bug'. I'm like it was a pretty big dead grasshopper. She was grossed out. No one wanted to finish their food. We had to ask twice about our bill and us not eating. We were given my meal free and a small discount. Check your sauce people! read more

My husband and I came here for dinner tonight and service was absolutely trash. Waited 30+ minutes waiting to have a server come up and introduce himself. Appetizers came out cold, didn't have utensils to eat, dinner came out and had no condiments to go with it and server never came back around. Waited on server forever to just ask for ketchup, so we decided to ask for a to go container and leave. Never had to wait this long, to decide to stay and still have everything go wrong. Came here for a quick bite to eat with my daughter as we had one of their lovely coupons. The place was a bit empty but that was because we came during non peak hours. We were seated in a booth and a nice man came to ask us about drinks which he was quick to return with. We then ordered some food, we enjoyed the following: Mediterranean Chicken Pita Tacos: These are usually my "Go To" when I visit BJs and I absolutely love them. The pita bread is fresh and the yogurt cream they use is tangy and delicious. The tomatoes and cucumbers lightly seasoned compliments well with this taco. The only complaint I have ever had is the cubed chicken mean, I would prefer perhaps shredded chicken or some other way way to cut it up. We both opted for different sides, although the bistro grains are scrumptious as well. We both chose to enjoy some of their delicious broccoli cheese soup. Unfortunately this came out pretty cold as if the bowls were sitting on a counter too long but when we brought this up to our waiter - he took them back and had them warmed up. To be honest, I would have preferred a fresher bowl, but we didn't want to wait any longer. My daughter also enjoyed the Mac & Cheese which was extremely yummy, very creamy with good seasonings and a bit different then we are use to but definitely something we would both order again. Came in for drinks. Scotty the bartender comes up, introduces himself, and ask what we'd like. I asked for a couple of minutes. He said ok just don't snap or whistle at me when you're ready.... Weird, why the hell would I?! 10 minutes later, literally 10 minutes, he comes back. We order 2 drinks. 10 mins pass, no drinks. He doesn't come by or look our way so hubbie gets up and ask him about our drinks. He comes by and ask "what did y'all want again?" We tell him again. He takes off and another 10 mins go by and you guessed it, STILL NO DRINKS! He ask the folks next to us if they'd like another round. I intrude and say "can we have our round 1st?" He replies "its coming" and takes off. At this point I'm pissed so I get the mgr, as soon as he sees that he makes our drinks. Shannon, the manager, was no help at all.
