The Original Sandwich on Gluten Free Bread
    Marissa G.

I returned to Schlotskys while in the area. I went through the drive thru, order, drove up to the window and paid, got my meal and headed home. This time around I tried the California Chicken Flatbread, Pepperoni Pizza, and an Original Sandwich. The Flatbread was really good. The crust was crispy, it had flavor, and the avacado was fresh. The Pepperoni Pizza was good. The pepperoni had flavor and the crust was thick, and chewy but not heavy. The Original Sandwich is my favorite sandwich from Schlotskys. All of the combined ingredients are tasty. Overall it's one of my favorite sandwich places. Fairly quick drive thru experience, and good food.

Stopped by Schlotzsky's in Sunset Valley for lunch today. It has been a while since I have visited this location and they have redecorated with new tables, chairs, and murals. It's fun and bright. I quickly ordered at the counter. The cashier was friendly. I ordered a Supreme Pizza, extra crispy. When received after a short wait, it was baked to perfection. I noticed on the menu board that they now serve breakfast, subs, and a greek trio, so I look forward to returning soon to try one of the new menu items.

    Double Original Sandwich

I usually go for the original sandwich, but I went for the double original this time via online order for pick up. I selected for the jalapeno bread, but it wasn't used for my order. I think I'll just stick to the original next time though. I couldn't really tell the difference in the double. Service was quick though and they gave me plenty hot sauce!

Medium original with extra veggies. PERFECTION.

I just had the BEST sandwich and experience I've had at Schlotzsky's in years. I dined in for the first time in a very long time. The gentleman who took my order was very friendly and kind. I ordered the original, which is my favorite and what I almost always get when I come here. Today, I ordered it with extra veggies, and holy crap, it was just absolutely perfect and incredibly delicious. I could taste every carefully selected element that has always made this sandwich special and unique -- all the flavors and textures were singing. It was glorious. I'd been a bit disappointed in my past few visits, so I am delighted that when I want to splurge and eat a fantastic sandwich, Schlotzsky's can still deliver what remains one of my all-time favorite sandwiches. YUM!

I came in and grabbed a beer at the bar and worked on my laptop while I waited for my buddy to join. Even though it was a busy week night, there was still plenty of seating. Every single employee is incredibly friendly and seems like they truly care about the work they do. We ordered a pizza, salad, and Italian sub. The pizza and salad were fantastic as always. I probably wouldn't order the sub again but that won't change my love for this place.

We waited maybe 20 minutes to order then another 45 minutes for food, which wasn't that bad for a busy Friday night. We were crowded outside, and we didn't really have enough table or chair space. That's to be expected when we descended upon the restaurant with such a large group. For six people, we ordered three pizzas to share. We definitely could have shared with more people because we had some pizza left over. We got The Works, Shroomin' Goat, and Texas Chicken Ranch pizzas. The Texas Chicken Ranch was by far our favourite. It was really good, while the other two were alright. The crust was weirdly bubbly and amorphous looking. There was a lot of crust. The Works was okay. The sauce and meat weren't particularly tasty. The Shroomin' Goat was a vegetarian pizza with a lot of arugula, which is not my type of pizza, but our vegetarian friend said it was okay. Great vibes at Pinthouse overall though, and I have enjoyed their other pizzas in the past.

They're especially known for their Roman-style pizza so I highly recommend giving it a try. As for flavors, you really can't go wrong but the standouts for me were the Potato, Chicken Parm and Lasagna slices. They also serve calzones, New York-style pizza, gelato and wine, so there's truly something for everyone. The pizza is priced by the slice, which makes it easy to mix and match like I did, though you can also order a full pie. I will say this definitely isn't cheap pizza, but you're absolutely paying for quality ingredients and incredible flavor. I ended up taking mine to go, but they do have a few tables inside and outside if you want to dine in. You can taste the exquisite quality of the ingredients, from the crust to the toppings. We ordered the Italian sausage and pepper pizza. For a person who does not eat a lot of pizza, this pizza was delicious. The Baldinucci vibe was uniquely European...families sitting outside enjoy pizza and all the trimmings along with friends, colleagues and family members also dining inside. There was a constant stream of customers picking up "to-go" orders as well. While in route, we got a bit lost circling the Randall parking lot twice. Once we reached staff, they were so helpful to point out a major landmark, which helped navigate us to the building. Excellent dining experience...

It's now located in the old Gordough's location. Not surprised they closed down, honestly. Maybe ignoring their customers wasn't the best way to stay in business. See my review for them. This is also the old south Austin Good Eats location. Remember them? The best chicken fried steak. Anyway, their pizza is still pretty good. I do have a couple of minor complaints. The pizza is rolled out so thin, that it does not support the weight of the toppings. If you get a red sauce, you're going to have a soggy crust when you finally get the pizza home. Still nice and chewy, so that's good. I also bought some pizza rolls. I didn't realize that the Americana had Italian sausage in them because I did not read the description closely enough. BTW, the Americana contains Italian sausage? Think about that for a minute. They were nice and spicy. The side of red sauce wasn't enough. Also, it's gotten really expensive. $20 for the pizza. Another nine dollars for the pizza rolls, and since I ordered online I got charged a $2.50 convenience fee. That's not on the restaurant; I understand. I just wish that the platform had told me I was being charged a convenience fee. I would have placed a phone order otherwise. BTW, if you order online through yelp, you get charged $19 and change for the pizza. If you order through DoorDash, it's $20.80. I also had problems getting to their website. That made viewing the menu difficult. I would eat here again, probably. But like I said I don't live in Austin so it's unlikely.

When I tell you guys this is one of the best pizzas I've ever had, I mean it. We ordered the buffalo chicken pizza, and normally when I've ordered these before, they're not that good. There's never enough sauce, the chicken to sauce ratio is off, and it's just all over the place. But this pizza was so delicious. Crispy and soo full of flavor !!!! Not soggy either !!! Honestly, I don't think I've ever given a novelty pizza a 10 out of 10, even back home. And I'm from New Mexico and we have some pretty good pizza spots. No ranch needed on the side, no extras, literally nothing at all. I'd say this is one of the best pizzas I've ever had, and I can't recommend this place enough. Not just because I was tired and hungry. This is an honest review. A true 10/10!!!!
