Our server was phenomenal, very attentive and sweet. My kids meals went untouched only because they devoured my fries! I tried the deep dish pepperoni pizza and it was delicious. I got the beef dip sandwich and was disappointed. The au jus was very salty and had spilled all over the try and soaked the sandwich before I even got it. There was hardly any cheese or horseradish on it. The beef was. Very bland and kind of chewy. We got ice cream for dessert and the double chocolate was amazing! This is the second time in a row at this location our food wasn't good. The large signature deep dish pepperoni extreme was anything but deep dish. It looked more like a flatbread or regular style crust as it was very thin. The pan was only filled 1/4 the way to the top. Both pastas had little to no flavor and tasted watered down. We asked our waitresses if the pizza was indeed deep dish style and she said yes. We said we've never ordered it and came out like that before. We also let her know about the bland pastas. She didn't offer to remake or replace anything. We didn't see or get an opportunity to speak with a manager. I submitted feedback on the website but never heard back from the last bad meal we received. read more

I'm actually surprised to see this restaurant reviews go down a lot more than the last time I was ordering from them. Where to begin? So you know the $13 pzookie deal right that they are advertising? To me, it's not a good deal as they advertise the cookie as the original size but it's not even that big to the original. It's literally about 1/4 of the cookie with ice cream which is cool and all but it's false advertising. They make it seem like you're getting the actual size that they offer for the cookie and not this tiny cookie. Don't get me wrong, I love the gluten free option they do have but I wish for how many flavors they do offer, why can't gluten free have more options? It's not that difficult to find gluten free Oreos compared to other flavors or even have some type of gluten free flavor of the month with the choco chip and see. It amazes me that some places have gluten free but yet it's so limited. I want to try cinnamon roll so badly but I will never be able to. I ordered the classic burger but turned it into the veggie patty which was really tasty and I like that they offer the gluten free bun. For how many gluten free options they do have, I'm surprised of how limited the gluten free options are within this deal. Also, the chef's kiss is probably the white cheddar mashed potatoes as those are lovely and very tasty. You can tell how fresh it is and what no, definitely a love. Service at the time seemed sluggish but I ordered to go and even getting my bag from the shelf behind the cashier took more time than expected. I saw a lot of wait staff but no one really acknowledged me. Parking is easy, when it's busy, you're parking away but when it's slow, there are open spots (mall parking). read more

Went on a holiday weekend at 7:15 at night here. Had a 10 minute wait which I thought would be much worse. Get to the table and go to order the prime rib special. Told they have sold out for the weekend. So it starts at 4pm and was gone by 7:30. Was told since was a holiday weekend they cut their trucks. I'm sorry what? You cut the trucks on a weekend you will be busy??? So go to order something else... guess what out of stock as well. Go to order something else...also out of stock. The tips my wife got were super dry and she said her potato tasted weird. Best part is I could hear him talking about me from this one station about how I could I not understand its a busy holiday weekend. He dropped a fork by my table and cussed as well. I've eaten at one other BJ's before and the food was ok but I will not be coming back to this one. Honestly will prob not go back to a BJ's again. I'm a big fan of their salads, as well as their wide variety of menu items to please just about everyone. They're on the backside of another favorite restaurant that specializes in fresh fish dishes. I'm not a beer fan, but there's plenty of it here. Other drinks available as well. Conveniently located near South Hills Village and Talbots. My daughter-in-law and I went here yesterday for lunch. This is the one near the South Hills Village Mall. Everything we had was excellent. I had the broccoli and cheddar soup in a bread bowl along with a pretzel which is huge. I also had a deep dish pepperoni pizza which was the special and an order of honey BBQ wings. We came to BJs when meeting up with High School friends on Thanksgiving Eve. The place has a newer, clean atmosphere. There is a huge beer list and a pretty extensive menu. We ordered a mix of food; wings, sandwiches, and apps. As well as a lot of different drafts I had a chicken sandwich which was good, washed down by a fresh draft. Very disappointing. We are visiting from Coloradio, where the BJs is always excellent. At this location near our hotel, the food was sub par. My husbands broccoli was not cooked. I mean cold! the salmon was dry as cardboard. And his rice appeared old and reheated, My fiesta salad was filled with bad ends of the romaine lettuce and some rotting pieces. try putting dressing on the side, my salad was drenched and soggy. The chicken was okay. My sister had the strawberry salad, and that seemed to be where they used the week old strawberries. The one good thing was our waiter, Xavier. So, I went to BJ's to meet my friends. It was my first time there. I went because I read online, they were educated in celiac disease and were Gluten free friendly. I tell my server I have celiac, I order a Burger on a GF bun. She brings it out on a tray with french fries, I ask if the fries are cooked in a dedicated fryer like Red Robin and she says no. She leaves, comes back and hands me a plate for the fries. By rights she should have taken the whole meal away because of cross contamination but I didn't fuss because I didn't want to damper the evening. She then offered me a salad and I said yes. She put it on the table and walked away. It was covered with croutons. I will say the burger was good and luckily, I did not get sick. Totally clueless. My husband had a day off, we were going out to lunch, so I said the burger was good, I was willing to give them another try. I tell the server I have celiacs, she was oh let me get you the Gluten free menu. I thought this is great, she is aware of celiac disease. I order a burger off the gf menu. When she brings our meals, it was on a tray with French fries, so I say I can't eat those and the bun is not GF, you can tell by looking. so, I tell her I need a whole new burger because of cross contamination. My husband won't eat his burger while it was hot because he wanted to wait for me, which he didn't need to, but he did. My husband ordered a deep dish to go and later when he ate it, he said it was identical to Little Caeser's. Then she brought the bill, and they overcharged us for the 2nd burger they brought me. Needless to say, BJ's should take down the GF friendly they advertise because the staff is not educated and some people get really sick for days. Huge disappointment and I guess when I want a good burger it's back to Red Robin. P.S. I did tip both girls 20 percent since I figured it was the franchises fault for not educated their staff. read more

Just an FYI this place is part of a chain of restaurants they seem to be linked or in the area of a mall location. It's busy.. it was just two of us and we asked to sit at the bar. They have a large selection of beers but oddly enough no local Pittsburgh beers? But they are a brewery and the beer they do is pretty good, they also have a good liquor selection and do flights and etc. I tried one of their lighter beers and it hit the spot. We just had appetizers so.. Got the Chicken Wings they were pretty good but we live in Western NY state and know good wings. We asked for more ranch which helped they are slightly skimpy on that. Than ordered the loaded nachos it's nice and lots of chips but the basically melt shredded cheese on it so not every chip has cheese. It had all the toppings you expect. In all honesty it's big enough for about four people to eat. All in all the food was pretty good and the bartenders/servers were helpful and nice a plus. Great place for your favorite comfort foods. They have a pretty wide variety of options on the menu, from flatbreads to burgers to pastas to sandwiches tacos to salads. I ordered the guacamole burger and really enjoyed it! It had so many flavorful toppings on it too; including jalapeños, tomato, Chipotle sauce, Applewood bacon, and pepperjack cheese. All of these flavors blended perfectly with one another, the spice of the cheese and jalapeños balanced by the guacamole and tomato, the tender beef patty balanced by the crispy bacon. Even the fries were deliciously crispy on the outside and soft in the center. I also ordered the Berry Burst Cider and loved it. It was very sweet, but also refreshing and smooth to drink. Ordered the potstickers and did not know that cilantro was mixed in with the slaw that was on the side. I would of appreciated being told ahead of time and it was not listed in the ingredients on the menu. I brought this to the attention of the waitress and the manager, and they should've at least brought me a side of slaw or something without cilantro or a discount on my check, very disappointed in the customer service. Atmosphere - Very good. I really like the atmosphere at this restaurant. It is a bright, fun atmosphere. Half of the restaurant is a huge bar and the other a dining area with lots of booths and tables. Service - Very Good. Our server was very attentive. Food - Very Good. I had a grilled ham and cheese sandwich with a cup of tomato bisque soup. The soup was excellent as was the sandwich. Overall Value - Very Good. I like the atmosphere at BJ's. I have been to several other locations and they all look the same, but are appealing. They have a nice varied menu, and we were there for lunch and they even had a lunch special menu for $10. Our server was wonderful. My mother has to have a gluten free diet and the menu they gave her was apparently old so he gave us his cell phone with the updated menu. They really don't have many gluten free items, so this wasn't the place to bring her, but he was extremely helpful and pleasant. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich which came with fries and a small salad. This seemed like a steal for $10. Our food came out quickly and looked great. Unfortunately, my chicken wasn't great. The bun was stale and the chicken was all curled up and very hard to eat as a sandwich. The fries were good and hot. I like that they give you a very large glass for iced tea as then you don't have to keep trying to track down the server for refills. We were there Father's Day Weekend so it may have been odd for them to be out of 1/2 the menu at 6:30PM, maybe not? The servers and hosts were great, The beer selection on tap was very good. The wings and spinach artichoke dip were very good, the ribs and jambalaya were also great. Huge dark dining hall with tons of TVs, lots of families. pretty loud yet not nuts. We eventually got a new one (by that time others at the table were almost done eating) but the 2nd chicken was also overcooked just as bad as the first one. So....I don't even know where to start. Went out to eat in Upper St. Clair and came across BJ's..... We were told the wait would be about an hour, so we decided to wait. What happens next is incredibly.....sad. We watched as four parties came in after us, didn't have reservations, and yet they were seated before us. When they saw us watching and listening they quickly said," Oh, the line is moving quickly. It'll just be a little longer".....smh.... I don't know if it was the color of our skin, but I have a strong feeling it was, and that is so incredibly disappointing. We finally got a table after an hour, but after what we've experienced and the strong feeling that it was more about the color of our skin, I don't think I'll be coming back here again. read more

Here's the thing, I'll be back bc of the convenience of location and my niece loving the Pizzookie. The interior is nice, service is good. The food is straight mediocre. I've tried the salmon, every salad, yesterday the chicken tortilla pasta. The chicken was fire the pasta was gross. Places always busy so I know that there has to be something good on the menu But I have yet to find it I would recommend this restaurant if you are shopping with a teen girl and still in stickershock. The beer and cocktails are good. Order something simple because no matter what you get is going to be mediscretion. I will probably get a burger next time read more

Stopped by here for lunch after doing some shopping at the village with my mom. We were greeted as soon as we entered and seated right away. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. I ordered the chicken alfredo and my mom went with the Mediterranean chicken pita tacos. She loved hers and kept saying how good it was. Mine was okay but not that great. The pasta and sauce was good but the chicken wasn't the best. The garlic knot that was served with it was burnt. The atmosphere is pretty cool though so I'd definitely come back to give it another try. I'd just order something other than what I did. read more

Curbside pickup pizza night and trying someplace new! Order ahead and pick a pick up time then drive in over and wait. There were about a dozen cars ahead of me for curbside pickup and the team here tonight busted their humps. I did have to wait 45 min after the assigned pickup - but given situation we are all in know -- one just can not complain. So ... Kudos to this team for your time and effort tonight! We're leaving on a road trip, called in an order to Bj's takeout. Ordered the prime rib dip with a baked potato. Called to let them know we were here, even though I knew the order wasn't ready. She said she'd make a note of which spot I was in and bring it out when it was finished. Got the notification text, had to check in anyway. Girl brought it out, I had to go back in for plastic ware and napkins. I started eating, and this was NOT the same sandwich I used to order. I've eaten at BJs in 3 diffferent states. This is the fattiest, most disgusting sandwich I've ever eaten. The photo is all the fat just from my half of the sandwich!! The flavor was great, as usual.. but uh.. maybe next time put some actual MEAT in there. Then my mom goes to eat the baked potato and she said it was really bland and needed salt.. flipped the car back around and went in again to get salt. The to-go girl told my mom "we don't have salt packets" then just stood there. I know you have rammikins.. the other items were in them! My mom asked if she could put it in a napkin. Worst experience at a BJ's ever. I'm greeted by the host and ask if the pork chop was still available. The host told me about the weekends pork chop special which included dessert on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. it was Friday after 4:30. after I was seated I tried to order the special, which was clearly listed on the menu and the server told me that isn't available. she checked with the manager who said it's not available. I ordered the regular pork chop and didn't get my onion bacon jam I ordered with it. I unraveled my napkin and found crusted food all over my silverware. My drink was empty the entire time. The funny thing is I went online and ordered the special from the exact restaurant with the dessert included. So to sum it up, the host, the menu and the internet ordering system all offered the special until it was time for me to actually order it. Will not return to this location. read more

Wait staff was friendly and efficient. Food was just so so. Two of us had lunch- we ordered the cheeseburger with fries and the crispy chicken sandwich with fries. Both sandwiches were served with cold fries. This was no fault of the servers. Neither sandwich was hot - seemed to have been sitting a little too long before being served. Price was a bit high-- $40 for both basic sandwiches with fries and each of us had an iced tea to drink. Have had better and also cheaper. Would not recommend returning anytime soon. read more
