Service and food were great. It's a sports bar atmosphere. The waitress that we had was very attentive.

Excellent experience! People need to understand hiccups will happen when opening a brand new restaurant. This place is great!

We were obviously fresh from the road, and Kayla made us feel welcome with quick cheerful attention. This restaurant is vast, including a 20-seat TV-filled bar and an enclosed maybe-20-seat patio, and plenty of on-site parking. Prices looked pretty good, and we went for some lighter fare, if there is a lighter form of huge :-) We got a well-named "colossal" original "almost famous" fish sandwich for $11.50, fresh crispy tender flakey fish, i think it's cod, lightly fried but not oily, with the filet wider than the sandwich. The thick slabs of lightly toasted Italian white bread were stacked with perfect fries, crispy outside and tender inside. And they added a layer of a vinegar-forward slaw that added flavor much like a mild fresh sauerkraut. They gave us some sauces, too, and now and then we added some mildly spicy-sauce for some extra bite, which is how I like my fried fish :-). And there are so many sandwich options we easily could have stacked it even higher! We also got a big salad, remarkably reasonable at $5, fresh crunchy lettuce, cucumber, and sliced tomato, with the rich flavors of hard-boiled eggs and cheddar, crunchy croutons, and the clever tasty addition of roasted corn kernels. Both of these dishes were so generous that, after eating all we dared while traveling, we still had half of each to carry out with us for farther down the road. Primanti's has almost 40 locations within 100 or so miles of their hometown, Pittsburgh, with four just off I-76, and they even have a location in Baltimore! Next time we're close to the BWI airport, we'll work our way over there.

My default when I don't feel like being disappointed…read more @thepubat333 is that easy "let's just go to..." and no one argues it because it just...works. There's enough going on menu-wise that everyone figures it out, and I'm not exaggerating-every single time I've been there since they opened, someone at the table orders a French dip. Every. time. It's basically part of the experience now. Also if I see pierogi, I'm ordering pierogi. That's just who I am. Could've taken down the entire plate without blinking but I shared like a respectable adult (meanwhile mentally tracking which ones were supposed to be mine). It's just a laid back, neighborhood spot that doesn't try to be anything crazy and still ends up being exactly what you wanted. Fun fact: my friend and I once prank called from their landline, the owner immediately called back, we answered like nothing happened, and yeah...the phone was no longer an option for us after that

Bar seating was almost full with only a couple seats. Heard good things about their pizza too. There's free parking in the lot (although small). Shout out to our bartender Ange! The black and bleu shrimp was absolutely amazing. It's got blackened spice and has this creamy sauce that makes you go dip for more (I need that recipe honestly). If I had some bread, I'd definitely use this as a dip lol. We got the thin crust Sicilian pizza to share. The pizza unfortunately was very wet and kind of soggy. I think they could have waited to let it rest for a few min before serving because it would especially show when we were separate the slices and try to take one off the plate. I don't usually want my toppings and cheese to just slide off the pizza. Also since we were at a bar w/ some of the games going on, we wanted wings and got their crispy whole wings in a dry spice rub. They were pretty big wings and well seasoned -- not too spicy though if that's not your vibe.

This place has been a stone throw away from my home, so it's been a frequent stop. I've heard that…read morethey have really good wings, but I've only tried sandwiches, some apps, and a piece of pizza there. I feel like the food in general is ok. I went pretty regularly to pick up their fish sandwich. I feel like they've changed it a bit as I liked it quite a bit. It is a decent size as they serve it on a standard sized bun, but give you plenty of overhang on both sides. Their French fries are also ok. I tend to like hand it fries with the skin still on, but the fries aren't very thick and if they're over cooked at all, the skins can get tough and sort of overpower the flavor of the fries. I will say that they do offer a nice portion size on this too, and when I ordered a side of gravy, it was pretty tasty. The apps as well are ok. I've tried the provolone, potato skins, cod pieces, fried ravioli and none of them stood out as being terrible or great. The biggest thing for me is that every time I've gone, the bartenders have always been friendly and the orders have always been correct, even if I've asked for substitutions, extra tartar, etc. it's not a large place and there hasn't ever been a lot of staff any time I've gone, so I do really appreciate the effort they put in to make sure your order is right. That alone is worth an extra star to me.

Spoke with a lady manager, she was polite and helpful previously. Decided after tonight's bad food that I wasn't coming back. So called just to let them know. This time it was a guy manager. Who proceeded to talk over me the whole time, was rude and condescending. And when he asked me a question would interrupt before I could finish my comment. I've been in this industry for about over 40 years now and am so tired of assholes like this guy. He is what makes food service shit. And why restaurants go out of business. His ego needs checked. Now not only won't we be back, I will actively tell people not to eat at Somma. I'm a catering chef. I speak to A LOT OF PEOPLE about food. Being a dick to customers is a bad business plan. Edit: Just spoke with my buddy who picked up the pizzas. Said they were giving him weird looks when he came in and I think I know why. When I was ordering I had to explain it to the girl 6 or 7 times before she got it. She was getting frustrated. I asked for a pizza with olive oil and garlic, with chicken and hot peppers, house cheese mix. That's all. She kept asking if I wanted a white with no ranch. I said no, and explained, again, what we wanted. We have ordered this more than once. Finally after like 6 times she repeated it back, I corrected that we wanted hot peppers, not just peppers. She said OK. We still got green peppers by the way. SMH.... The pizza was the final straw for me, and why I was calling. But after this whole drama, my guess is you have internal issues WAY beyond inconsistent food.
