Had my Aunt/uncles anniversary here in a private room. Ambiance was amazing with appropriately aircraft themed. Started at the bar while waiting and they have literally any kind of drink of choice and many specialty items. Entry level wines to the most expensive I've seen. Staff were very friendly and elegant. We had the prime rib (personally one of the best cooked I've ever had) escargot, oysters, steaks, fish and everyone enjoyed their meals. *note: you WILL spend a lot of money so be prepared. Food: 2/5 My husband loved his meal. I made the mistake of asking for an end cut on my prime rib and saying that while I would prefer medium, any level of doneness would be fine, if it was an end cut. The meat I was served was so over-cooked I had to saw at it with the dull steak knife they provided. Seriously, it was so difficult to cut, I already wanted to send it back but I had asked for this. So I made my peace with it and tried a bite. It was like eating over cooked Arby's roast beef after it was rewarmed too-long in the microwave. It disgusted me so much so, that I asked for a box, planning to take it home for my dogs or perhaps to add to soup, since it was my own error in judgement that had brought this upon me. When I asked for the box, my server started arguing with me about just getting me a new piece. No, I was fine I said. Really, I would just like a box. I have never had to argue to not get a steak before. This was by far the worst dinner out with my husband I have had since moving to Wichita. I know she was just trying to give good service but having to reiterate over and over that I was fine, to not have a new meal and trying to explain why just made it more unpleasant and uncomfortable. I spent the rest of our meal awkwardly watching my husband eat his meal and feeling weird which could have been avoided if she had just let well enough alone. I ended up just wanting to leave but not feeling like I could. Service: 1/5 The service did not match the price of the dinner. Overall, my server was nice, but that didn't stop her from arguing with me about my dinner. Super uncomfortable to have to explain myself over and over. The manager came, and stopped at the table, asked how we were and then left. It was equally uncomfortable. Clearly I was not enjoying my dinner to have literally boxed it up to go. Ambiance: 1/5 The dark interior was moody but intimate. The menu was a bit shabby but otherwise ok. The chairs were comfortable. Until using the bathroom, the ambiance was fine. The bathroom was well lit but the toilet paper dispensers were falling off of the walls and the door knob on the stall I used was equally troubling. The person in the next stall actually has the toilet paper dispenser fall apart on her. I awkwardly heard her curse slightly as I listened to the clang of metal on the floor and observed pieces sitting beside the toilet as I exited. What a ratchet bathroom. The purse hanger was way too high for comfort, especially if you were in a wheelchair (which the largest bathroom is meant for). Overall, pass on the restroom and restaurant in general. read more

I took a large group of 12 for a business dinner. They set us up in a private dining room and took great care of us. One of my guests is a big eater and I promised him a big Kansas steak. He settled on the Ernie cut of the prime rib and enjoyed every bite. A local guest suggested the 16 ounce Ribeye which I did order. It was very good. I ordered three plates of the trio combo appetizer for the table. The onion rings and calamari were very good. They also had an unusual fried sirloin steak bites breaded with cream gravy. It was a big hit. It highly recommend the twice baked potato and Caesar salad as sides. read more

I wished I have taken pictures of their creme brulee because this steakhouse is way better than the slop house food critics call Texas Roadhouse. Compare to Texas Roadhouse and Outback Steakhouse, this one in Wichita is much better, unlike both of those steakhouse chains which turned out to be too much of a good thing, Scotch And Sirloin always keeps its promise by having a quiet atmosphere by having 1950s decor that made the steakhouse look like a 1950s restaurant and a perfect place for people of 1950s lovers. I went with their prime rib, onion rings, calamari and creme brulee, all of them were delicious and the service doesn't disappoint either. Came here for dinner while in town for work with my co workers. The decor was meh, I expected it to be more considering this place is known for fine dining. I wasn't impressed with the food selection as well, I felt the menu was limited. I was also disappointed that the name of the restaurant is called Scotch & Sirloin with no sirloin options on the steak menu. The martinis were a tad bit strong for my liking, to the point I had to send the first one back. However I did step out the box and tried a gin base martini , due to having a previous pleasant experience with gin. Sierra our sever did an amazing job accommodating me with a lemon drop martini due to the first one not working out, overall she was a great and very attentive to the table. For dinner I ordered the crab claws and crab cakes for my appetizers. My entree I decided on the vegetarian linguine and added salmon for my protein. It was really delicious! The butter garlic sauce was A1! The veggies were very fresh, the salmon was meh. I would definitely get it again minus the protein. That's how good the pasta it self is. We visited for our 10 year anniversary. It was our first time and likely last. The service was great! Our server let us sample a few wines since we're not typically wine drinkers, and the bread was phenomenal. However, the rest of the food was very disappointing. I had the bone-in ribeye. It was cooked well and was very thick and well marbled, but it was not seasoned at all. The mashed potatoes were also served cold. For $75 I could have cooked a couple tomahawks at home and been happier. My wife had the chimichurri chicken. The chimichurri was closer to a bitter leaf paste than a tangy sauce. Like they put parsley and a splash of vinegar in a mortar and pestle and called it a day. Probably one of the more upsetting ways I've lost $200. read more

As good a steak as there is in America. We had the Kansas City Strip medium well and it was absolutely delicious. The service was top notch and didn't flinch will bringing us the seafood bouquet. We also had French onion and Clam chowder soups and a Caesar salad. The soups were great and so too was the seafood bouquet. The steak was tremendous so too was their loaded baked potato. All in given the food and the ambiance, this is as good a steak house as there is with only places like Barry's in Vegas downtown being as good or better. read more

Came here on a business trip all the way from Las Vegas. I work for BG products and our plant is here in Kansas. This restaurant gave me Vegas vibes. The food was so delicious. Everybody was so kind and friendly here. The restaurant was clean and sanitized. I'll be back for business later this year and I will have to come back here again. read more

The food and ambience here is great. The service is exceptional. Karl always ensures we are happy. I usually get here at least once a week. However I have had a lot of out of town visitors here lately, so I have been probably three times a week now several weeks in a row. The chocolate soufflé is to die for and if you've never had the Smokey old fashioned it's a visitor favorite. I love the caprese salad and the carpaccio as a regular go to. The lunch special is usually the flank steak which is delicious. The most recent dinner I had was fish and I loved it. Never had a bad thing here. Steaks are perfect, soups are good, desserts fantastic. I also like the crème broulee. Even if you are on a budget and don't want to go all out, you can be totally satisfied with an appetizer plate at lunch. read more

Highly disappointed tonight. It's been a while since I've been here. I decided to sit at the bar, it was maybe half full. My favorite and I've bragged all through these years and across the country is the bone in ribeye. It was half the size that it normally is. No bread was offered and no sides. The steak was tougher than I can remember also. It makes me sad because I've adored this place for many years. I was on a business trip to Wichita and was told by a local to try this premier steakhouse. It was mediocre and expensive. I got a filet - it was cooked well, but under seasoned. The bake potato was "loaded" which meant it had some cheap toppings. I paid extra for a side salad that was cafeteria quality. I ordered a scotch, and despite the restaurant name, the waitress had no knowledge of it (Oban, a well known single malt) - and it was under poured. For about $100, I got a good $30 meal. I recommend Longhorn Steakhouse for the same quality at a fraction of the price. read more

I was visiting Wichita a couple of weeks ago and we went out to lunch at the Scotch. It had been awhile since I had been there so it was a nice change of pace. We got there around 12:30 and were seated fairly quickly. We ordered our drinks and we all got them but 1 of the 6 of us. It took her asking again for it to get it. The food took forever to come out but when it did it was good. I ordered the Reuben with fries. It was really good. Something I would order again. A couple of the others got the hot beef sandwich. The amount of beef that came out on these dishes was unbelievable. I don't know how anyone could finish that meal but they both came close. Went to the venue for lunch. Affordable and extensive lunch menu. Ordered the French dip with mashed potatoes and gravy. The sandwich was tasty and and the potatoes were fresh. Portion size was average. Service was outstanding and the decor was very classy (a nice change from the typical lunch destination). Would love to try more of their menu to normalize the review which leans on service and price to bring it into the "4" range. Will definitely be back for another lunch. read more

I've been going to this restaurant for at least 4 decades now. Always perfect. The old place was in need for an update though beloved by the community as it was. But after the new location everything brand new it was even better. They have something for everyone. Vegetarian, Fishetarian, Omnivores or out right meat eaters. I go with family for various occasions. We went together in February and as always, did not disappoint. Be sure and add their mushrooms to whatever you order. The best baked potato anywhere. Never left overs from the night before. Always fresh, cooked perfectly, skin is yummy, served with everything if you like. We ordered all the side dishes and there was plenty to share so everyone enjoyed them. We shared entrees because the servings are generous. The servers are always appreciated.
