I loved my food here. And the presentation was fabulously fancy! It's been a couple of days so I can't remember the names of the breakfast platters. But mine had one egg, hash browns, a piece of toast, and two pancakes. The hash browns were done to perfection, and I ordered strawberry topping for an extra $2.00 which was yummy. The service was great and completed with a friendly smile. Hubs had an issue with his toast not being done enough. Unfortunately they didn't get him new toast in time, but they did give him a discount for it which we appreciated. If we lived nearby we'd definitely come back. read more

We stopped in this diner-style restaurant for breakfast and really enjoyed everything. I had a build-your-own omelette with mushrooms, onions, and cheddar cheese with crispy hash browns and an English muffin. Our daughter had sausage links and the cinnamon roll, which she claimed should be at all breakfast restaurants. Our son had the special red velvet pancake stack, which was so filling that he had to take half home. And my fiancée had the BJs take on eggs Benedict with shaved ham. This is our second time coming to BJ's for breakfast while staying in the Dells and we can't get enough of the food, obviously, but the staff and service are by far what made us come back. The food is amazing, so fresh and you can tell love and time was put into each order. The crêpes are to die for! And don't get me started on the buttery, crispy goodness of the hashbrowns. Oh my goodness! You can totally tell the staff really enjoy what they do. The owner even comes up to your table and shoots the breeze with you. The waitstaff are all so friendly and welcoming. Really liked BJ's Special, which was eggs, on top of shaved ham and English muffin topped with cheese sauce! So tasty! In the Dells for a wedding, in January! Met some family in the restaurant for social breakfast. -17 degrees outside. Got seated within a couple of minutes. Coffee showed up quickly. Place was neat and tidy considering people tracking in road ice. Food was great. Sausage gravy, hot and great hash browns. We stayed the for two hrs and the staff never shot us the side eye. Food really good. Waitress very nice and helpful. However the Very Loud Music was awful! Thankful the Waitress turned it off as I mentioned it. My hubbys hearing aids were Screamimg. Also not sure what was going on in the Kitchen but huge banging, noise constantly and loud talking the whole time there. We are Seniors and really treasure a comfortable dining place. Very good food Amazing service! To start the service, friendliness, and attentiveness are world class. The coffee cups are never allowed to be half empty. The staff smiles and checks on you regularly. Before leaving they also asked if we'd like a cup of coffee to go. I had a standard breakfast and it was really good. When you ask for very well done bacon a lot of places don't get it right. This was perfect and had that nice salty taste to it. Husband and I were in town for the weekend and a local asked us if we had plans for breakfast the next day. They suggested we go to BJ's Restaurant, said it's an amazing local place, and that we won't regret it. We took their suggestion and we are so happy we did! We went on a Sunday morning and of course, they were busy. We got on their waitlist and soon we were eating up at the bar. The food is terrible . Coffee cold and bring your own spoon to stir the coffee. We left a nice breakfast at the dells and we wanted to try something outside the hotel since it's our last day but I wish I read the reviews before I came to this mediocre place. As I understand from their attitude : they want only locals if you are outside those two blocks you are not welcomed. Please do yourselves a favor smile in the morning no one want to open their eyes on your grumpy faces and by some spoons and open your tables to everyone if your don't have anyone . Or hire some people who know how to do hospitality. The only good thing in there was the waitress she is smiling and attentive. But those other two barbies managers / owners they have a lot to learn. I wish that all of our experiences in the Dells had been as great as BJ's. It was our first stop when we arrived, breakfast for 3 hungry kids and 2 hungry adults. I knew that most of our visit was going to be resort or chain/touristy stops, and BJ's looked like a great option for a no-frills, inexpensive breakfast. Our server was friendly and engaging with both us and the kids. Food came out quickly and was tasty. I had the biscuits and gravy at the recommendation of our server and the portion was enormous. I only ate half. Everything was cooked as ordered/intended, and we all left with full bellies at a good price.
