BJ's is our go-to for a Club Warehouse. It has most of the selection Costco has, but none of the overcrowded parking lots or store. It has free food samples, bakery, bulk food/ household necessities, clothes, and decor. The only thing BJs does not have is a food court, and that's okay with me. They even take manufacturers coupons and have their own digital coupons! Win! read more

THIS IS A REVIEW OF THE TIRE SHOP AND CLUB CUSTOMER SERVICE: If you value your time, energy and peace of mind - DO NOT GO HERE! Make the short drive over to Discount Tire instead. Hear me out....I had purchased tires and set up a date/time for installation a week ahead on BJs website. A day before my appointment, BJs sent me an email confirming my appointment. I get there the next day at my appointment time and Sam was at the front desk. He told me that he had to go check to see if my tires was in. I was immediately annoyed because why wouldn't the shop check that my tires was in BEFORE my appointment date/time instead of waiting for the customer to get there and check at that time?? It makes literally no sense whatsoever. As it turns out, my tires wasn't available. I repeat, BJs confirmed my appointment the day before and made no mention that my tires was unavailable. I had to drive all the way out here to find this out. Of course I was then offered tires that would cost me another $150..oh and only 3 tires was there, I would have to order the 4th and come on a different day to have that one installed. It's a ripoff and they don't believe in giving you any discount for the incovenience! I honestly believe they offer those "free installation, buy 3 get 1 free" deals just to get you to their tire center only to tell you that they don't have the tires and you'll have to pay more for other ones. The fun doesn't end there, when I went inside the club to get a refund it was like rocket science - the customer service reps had no idea what they were doing and even said "tire refunds are never easy." After that total fiasco, I headed to Discount Tire a few miles away. The tires I needed was at another one of their locations, but they were able to get all four of them delivered in about 2 hours. Then it was about another half hour for them to get the tires installed. The customer service was impeccable, they let me know exactly what to expect and assured me that the tires would be installed same day. They even give you a link to track the progress of your tire installation. I got there early and actually watched as two young men worked quickly to get my tires installed. There were at least 5 other techs there in the shop and they were all hustling and working hard getting cars in and out. The reps at the counter were awesome. Yes, I paid about what BJs was going to upcharge me, but for the customer service, tracking link, quality tires and protection plan - it was all worth it. I found a new favorite in Discount Tires - I would NEVER return to BJs again! read more

I've been a member for over a year now and I'm pretty happy with BJ's. I like how they send out coupon books, have in-store and online coupons as well. It's a great deal when you buy with the coupons. They also take all manufacturer's coupons which Sam's Club and Costco do not. They also accept all credit cards, while Costco only takes debit and the Costco AMEX. The deli is great and has a nice selection of Wesley Farms and Dietz and Watson meats and cheeses. Both brands seem to offer similar items, but WF is $1 less per lb. The bakery is very good and I like their rolls and cookies. I wish the meat selection was as good as Costco's though. Also, their seafood selection is limited compared to Costco. This place is definitely not nearly as crowded as Costco can be either. For now, I'm happy with BJ's and will renew my membership but I may switch to Costco in the coming years...we shall see. read more

we were lied to and told that there was no minimum purchase to receive a $20 voucher but when we tried to check out it was then that we were told there was a $60 minimum purchase requirement when we asked the manager matt he gave a strange face and turned and walked away offering no help at all! we immediately cancelled our membership and we WILL NOT RETURN! the place is empty and no one ever shops here anyways! not sure why this dump is even opened!! should be shuttered immediately!! read more

Been coming here on and off for years, jist the 1st time as a Yelper. Got a good deal for signing up again, it would've been $25 for a year, but paid full price and got a restaurant gift card for $50 and you get to use it at over 250 locations and you get 2 for deals. Got a family of four and we all try to eat healthy, they do have healthy options here. You just gotta walk around and look up and down the aisles for healthier options. One thing that keeps us coming back to BJs, is that they take manufacturer coupons and they have their oqn coupon plan. All the whole sale clubs dont accept manufacturer coupons. read more

I have been going here for years since switching from Sam's club. I love the prices and the selections. I didn't have a problem with Sam's club either but BJ's is more conveniently located for my travels. The tall bearded guy in the deli gets a special shout out from me. He always cuts, stacks and packages the meats and cheeses neatly. Some of the others just rush through like they don't care because it's not for them to deal with. This is much appreciated and doesn't go unseen by me. Thank you, Mr. Beard! My one star deduction is for the Receipt Police. Make sure the cashier doesn't miss scanning anything or you will look and feel like a criminal as you try to make your exit. This really loud alarm goes off and barking dogs come out of this dark hidden room. Helicopters, snipers and swat units surround the building and the store is temporarily shut down. If you just believed all that you should probably be careful what you trust and take literal on the internet. Lol. Totally joking but it does suck when you're in a hurry and they're busy so you have to go back to the end of the line and wait to pay for your missed item. Or you can do what I did. I rudely jumped the entire line and said "excuse me I have to pay for this because you forgot to scan it." Aww well if you upset them, they'll do better next time. Lol Other than the receipt police system I really have no issues with this wholesale club. And just to clarify, it's not the receipt police employees I have an issue with. They're just doing their job and they're always very polite. I just think it's a stupid and annoying setup. read more

Don't let the name fool you.. this place will satisfy you in more ways than you can imagine! Bulk is their game from household every day needs to school and pet supplies. If you're feeling lonely pick up a book or DVD from their many selections. Their baking goods will leave your mouth watering and wanting more. And what's most impressive are their prices you cant beat them for what you're getting. read more

Almost the same inventory as Sam's, but subscription is half the price most times. Nothing bad to say.

Not much to say about BJ's but the prices and selection are excellent and it is never too busy to affect your shopping routine like Costco. We are members of both but this is closer to home and the gas alone is worth the membership. Free air filler in gas station area as well. Produce is surprisingly fresh and is always priced well. The staff are not the most knowledgeable but they are very friendly and will eventually sort out the problem. Tire center and vision center are both available. Membership is $50 for basic and a little more for one with 2% back in $20 BJ's cash slips for use in the store. Store seems a little dead most of the time but they seem to be staying put in Avon. We will be members for as long as it holds on. read more

We like BJ's so much better than Sam's and CostCo! We got in on a very cheap membership package and haven't looked back. For a smaller family, the quantities are better here. Much more selection in groceries, as well. Nice deli counter and baked goods. Large selection of vitamins. Has cheap gas and a tire center that will put air in your tires for free! read more
