I've gotten off at the exit numerous times to go to Crocker Park to go shopping. I've just learned recently that there's a Fresh Thyme Market. This store was a great find just because of its location. No longer will I shop at the other store across the street when I'm in the Cleveland area. The store had great deals , everything that I know from back home that my normal fresh thyme store has. They even had a great raffle after you checked out too so I'm hoping that I won a cool prize. Staff here was very friendly, great selection of hot food and fresh sushi. Great location for the area, will happily shop again! read more

Fresh Thyme in Westlake is... okay. The store is generally clean, well stocked , and spacious. That's until you start closely inspecting things or purchasing. That's when you discover that food is not really so fresh. The store does not have many options for quick bites. I stopped in to get a dinner that I wouldn't have to cook. These prepared items scattered at the front of the store. The choices are disappointing and considerably less than comparable stores carry. At the end of the day, I was able to find few very unappetizing sushi options, poke bowl, and some wraps. There are some wraps and some small tortellinis that are overpriced, very small portioned, and not appetizing. I watched another customer pick up tortellini, consider the weight and return it to its place. They have sushi and poke bowls. Poke bowl did not look appetizing at all. I did end up buying it and throwing it away because it didn't taste fresh. Really, fish had suspicious color and blandness. It tasted days old. All other ingredients also tasted aged. Same story with a watermelon cup. I purchased a watermelon cup where watermelon really tasted old and wilted. I threw it away along with poke bowl and was very disappointed. Both plastic boxes had strange amount of condensation when I initially picked them up so maybe this has something to do with refrigeration. I always like their soda and drink selection at the front of the store. I selected Aura Bora with lavender and cucumber which is my favorite fizzy water. It's always refreshing. I was happy with this purchase. The layout is a bit confusing, and I've had trouble finding a few things without asking someone. Staff is generally uninterested and apathetic. I would only recommend stopping in if you're in the area and need pre-packaged items. There's never a line at this store, so it's a quick run. If you're looking for fresh or tasty choices, pick another store. read more

I grew up in Sacramento shipping at Sprouts all the time, one of my favorite grocery stores to shop. Well, to my surprise the first time I walked into Fresh Thyme, took me back to Sacramento. The layout looked identical. Great prices on many items. They always have BOGO deals. They sell Boars Head deli meats/cheeses, those are the best. They have a huge variety of healthier food/snack options to choose from. Some of the healthier items are a bit on the expensive side, look out for that. Absolutely terrible customer service I called and asked if they had a product in stock the lady who answered was very snarky and impolite with me and when she transferred me to the wrong department and the guy who answered in the meat department acted like I was a burden for having a question. The product you can buy there are great, but the people I talk to you were not nice. read more

We were so excited when Fresh Thyme opened a location on the west side of Cleveland. We often ventured over to the east side store. The good things about this store is their very fresh produce and the selection of healthier items. They also have terrific sales on boneless, skinless chicken breasts. The reason for the 2 star is the terrible customer service. The cashiers are friendly, but every time I have asked a question, like where an item is, or do they carry an item. No one knows. And they have absolutely no idea how to find out. The store has no customer service desk. And anytime I have asked for a manager, they are nowhere to be found. Yesterday I went in for their advertised sale on chicken breasts. There were none out on the shelf. So I stood at the meat department counter, waiting to ask about them. An employee behind the counter looked at me and walked back to where he could not be seen. I waited about 5 more minutes, he never returned. It is unbelievable how this location can have such poorly trained employees and no customer service desk. It's getting so frustrating that no amount of sales will make it worth shopping there. read more

Cute new grocery store in Westlake in the old Kmart building. It reminded me a lot of Earth Fare or a small Whole Foods. Produce was priced incredibly well. There was also pizza, sushi, sandwiches, bakery and more. read more

Some of the rudest employees ever. It's such a bummer because they have decent items, albeit more expensive than Whole Foods, it's nice to have options. I've had several issues with the meat counter and other employees. Today I was trying to grab a kombucha and the young girl with chin length brown hair saw me reach for the door and instead got in front of me to do her work organizing the cans. I assumed she was going to be quick because she made eye contact with me once I got there and was waiting but nope, she took her sweet time until several minutes went by and I had to ask if she would mind if I could grab a can. It was actually quite obnoxious. If you hate your job so much get a different one! read more

I've been waiting to review this place because I really haven't had time to look around the store. I will update my review at that point. I still have gotten some things from here. I wanna start with the salad bar. This is hands-down the best salad bar I've ever eaten up in my entire life. I go here often on my lunch breaks and I have only once been disappointed at the quality. First you can choose from spring mix, Romain lettuce, spinach, kale as your base I like to mix a couple of them together. Then they have an unbelievable amount of toppings. I like a salad bar with a lot of great vegetables to choose from. This one has that I often pick roasted sweet potatoes, roasted beets, roasted cauliflower, and then other typical vegetables. Then they have all sorts of grains to put on there I personally go with the quinoa but they have rice and a couple other things I'm not sure how to pronounce. Then they have all types of cheeses I always go with feta. Then they have all sorts of other things like eggs and seeds. They do you have some olives to choose from as well on the salad bar I always go with the kalamatas (They do have an olive bar as well) hey do have meats to choose from but I am not sure what they are because I don't get any. Lastly they have some great dressings to choose from. I think this runs about seven dollars a pound which I think is a pretty good deal. I have tried one of their juices that was premade but I think that you can get your juice made fresh at the juice bar. They also have a lot of to go food to choose from I hear their pizza is really good. I've also tried some bakery items in particular the one that I really enjoyed was a date and oat bar. It was delicious something healthy yet hit my sweet tooth. I have also tried their homemade granola. It is amazing. I have browsed around quickly to look at some of their items and their produce seems to be in affordable price. I definitely wanna go here and check everything out but for some reason I only ever go on my lunch breaks. read more

My new favorite grocery store! Fresh Thyme is a small chain of grocery stores out of Illinois and they're slowly expanding. They just opened in Westlake in the Westbay Plaza by Marc's. That's bad news for Marc's, but I heard they plan to move further east down Detroit in a year or so. So as of now, that makes 5 grocery stores within a 1/2 mile radius! Lol (Giant Eagle, Marc's, Traders Joe's, Aldi) Fresh Thyme is in a brand new building that's part of a small strip of stores. The store is a good size, clean and well organized, but working your way around with a cart can be a bit chaotic during busy times. The checkout lane can be hit or miss. One girl we had was the sloooowest cashier ever, but the other two visits went much faster with different people. The vast assortment of produce is really what makes them stand out in my opinion. The organic options are pretty good too. They have grinders where you can make your own nut butters! I've never seen this before. Pretty cool. The bakery, meat and seafood departments are on the small side, but everything seems to be fresh. They have a nice selection of hot soup and a salad bar too, which seemed very fresh. The best part is that their deli sells Boar's Head meat and cheeses! I'm a big fan of Boar's Head ever since I first had it at this little sandwich shop by my old job 10 years ago. The only other place I've been able to find it is at Fragapane Bakery. They have fresh made pizza by the slice or whole and they also juice their own juices on site! Now that's fresh! Their regular prices are competitive with Giant Eagle and Heinens, but their prices on sale items are amazing! Really significant savings! Blueberries were 99 cents a pint this past week, GT Kambucha bottles were $1.99, and Halo Top pints were 2 for $6! Every Wednesday, they have a double ad deal where the sale items from the last week and the current week overlap for double the amount of sale items! That's cool. You can download their handy app to view all the sale items and add them to your checklist right in the app. When you go to checkout in the store, you can scan your rewards card right from your phone. Definitely come check out Fresh Thyme when you have time! Heheh They have a location in Mayfield as well for you east siders. read more

They did not get off to a great start but WOW how they have improved. There must be new management! The store is clean and full of great items you cannot find elsewhere in one spot. It also has some great deals. The staff is friendly and helpful and they have wonderful hours of operation. I shop here as much as possible. read more

My first visit to Fresh Thyme market! I loved my whole experience there.... from the hospitality that was given me to the vast array of fresh & organic foods! Fresh Thyme market has offers delicious foods from various culinary cultures.... they even sell "Mission" tortillas, that are the next best thing to "homemade". They start putting stuff away an hour before closing and they constantly ring stuff up wrong. Always a frustrating experience.

I have shopped at this store since it opened. Staff seem tired and mildly interested in helping customers. This week, I went to the meat department to purchase ground beef. The employee weighed the meat, wrapped it in the heavy brown paper. She weighed it again and then printed the label with the weight of the heavy brown paper. I didn't think that was right. read more

What a great addition to the Westlake area! This place is like trader Joe's but bigger! The fresh food selection is outstanding. The prices are really good. They are a full service grocery store with seafood and meat counter. They offer fresh sandwiches (boars Head meats) and pizzas. There also is a sushi section with fresh made sushi. I tried the sushi chef special (crab salad sushi) and I was not disappointed. You can eat at the store in a small sitting area or take home. My only complaining would be that they need more register employees working because you have to wait in a line. This place can get busy so plan a few extra minutes ahead if you are in a rush. read more

So I feel like this place can make some improvements. They sell a lot of conventional produce and their meats seem to be regular grocery store quality unless stated on label that it is grass fed or organic. They just have the fancy labeling saying it is a fresh thyme product. So I wont be shopping here for my meats nor the produce. I can get organic produce cheaper at Trader Joe's or earth fare. The big star reducer for my review is the juice bar. They do not use organic produce and that is a huge no no when juicing since you are juicing the entire fruit/veggie with skin on. I asked the lady "do you guys use organic produce?" She states " no because it is available" ummmm isn't this suppose to be a health food store? Great store and glad they are in the neighborhood. If you want over ripe produce that costs more, by all means go to Marc's. If you want fresh produce comparable to Heinen's, if not better, shop at fresh thyme. I will say what kept me from giving it 5 stars is the fact they advertise things on special but it is hit or miss if they have them in stock, which is frustrating. Other thing keeping me from a 5 star is their salad bar gets hit pretty good and can be lacking in refilling. All in all a very welcomed addition to the area and as long they keep having good fruits and vegetables and fresh food, I will keep doing my shopping there. read more

I LOVE Fresh Thyme...their selection is so unique ...from breads to fresh veggies and fruit...very unique frozen section. As a single person, I love the unique frozen sea food selections that are packaged so I can take out one piece of what I want out and pop it in my toaster oven. The healthy selections and unique snacks are overwhelming ...so much to choose from. Unique cereals, spices, tea, and health selection. Their make up is my new go to healthy choice for my skin. If you get their app on phone ,there are such great coupons that can be used right off phone at check out...I especially like the 5.00 off the total order. Some things are a bit more pricey, but if you are selective or want a special treat this is the place to go. read more

We have shopped here several times with mixed results. We want to like it, but just cannot. There are pros and cons for sure. The Boars Head deli is good. Some of the produce is good. On Sunday we came in for the 2 for $1 avocados. $60, later we left. I saw some boom boom shrimp in the seafood counter and it sounded good. Boy, was I wrong. We tried to eat it the next day and it was inedible. Fishy like you can't believe. I also bought one of their meatloafs, as a day off of cooking during the holiday seemed like a good idea. It too was not good. Dry and tough. It's meatloaf. In the end, you just have to pick and choose. You can't do a complete shop here. The " loss/ leader" items get you in and it's a downward spiral from there. read more

Fresh Thyme has become one of my new favorite grocers, especially for the seafood. Some items are expensive but they do offer good sales if you watch the sales flier, Everything we have purchased has been fresh and delicious. The store is well organized, always clean and staff is friendly. My only complaint is that I have allergies and asthma and they keep a mound of natural (very strong smelling) soaps right at the register. One evening the register closest to the soaps was the only one open so I had not choice but to wait in line there and I ended up having an asthma attack right there. My eyes were watering and I was coughing excessively. They need to me mindful of this and realize that some people cannot be exposed to these scents. I would think that being a grocer that is advocating a healthy way of eating would be aware of this. read more

I'm not one to leave negative reviews but they are out of stock constantly and stay out of stock for weeks. The staff is rude and impolite. I'm not impressed at all and was excited for this place but saddened by this experience. Tip for the owner keep things in stock and hire people who want to help and work. read more

I wanted to like you, I really did. But... the clerks at the Westlake, OH, store on Detroit Ave across from Crocker Park are either rude and/or incompetent. I've probably asked a dozen employees a product question and nine times out of ten got the shrugged shoulder treatment or a flat-out rude "I don't know". They all seem angry and bitter, probably because of the shit wages you pay them. Regardless, they don't know what they're doing. I wanted to like you more than Trader Joe's, but my business will now go back to TJ's, where my staple items, such as olives, hummus, olive oil, bagged lettuce, snack foods, chocolates are all less expensive and of better quality at TJ's. Your bulk foods are a disaster. Does anyone EVER clean the tongs/scoops? It appears not. And every single cashier I've had there, except one, have been complete assholes. I really HATE going to your store. One cashier even told me, during a winter storm, that her managers were jerks because they made them work through a storm and that she couldn't get her car out of the parking lot when she left work and store management gave her no help at all.
