So I should preface this by saying that I am NOT actually a member of the BJ's Wholesale Club but I am regularly asked by friends who are if I can take a ride with them to help with their own shopping needs as an extra pair of capable hands. The location is close to the area formerly used by the long-shuttered Ceasar's Bay Bazaar (there's now a Target, Kohls and Best Buy in the vicinity). So its rather convenient to ride to and they have a sizable lot to use. Don't waste time tooling around the ground level and instead go up to the next as my friends always find space up there. There are elevators to use when returning with your goods. Overall this is a very spacious establishment with a little bit of everything but as expected in a bulk size. Sometimes I ask the friends I've joined to portion out what they've purchased and I'd reimburse them. I live alone and don't need 20 bars of soap or a gallon of dishwashing liquid etc. There are all sorts of foods to browse through and yes they even have some electronics on sale so who knows if you will find a bargain of some kind when you are walking up and down the aisles. Now I should advise that you have your mobile fully charged in the event that you lose your party. Its fairly easy to get separated here and you might need to do some texting or calling to rendezvous. There is a self checkout area and a number of cashiers and everyone seemed friendly so shoppers should make sure that they are returning this in kind. I guess the only thing I'd suggest is more than one checker at the exit. Sometimes I've been on a longer line since people want to talk to them and that wears thin on the patience. Show your receipt and move along please :) Overall, I would likely join this club if there was a need for it but at this point in my life there just isn't.

Prices for items purchased on 10/05/24 rang up for a higher price than marked. Supervisor' Kinsang gave me a very hard time to get the advertised price. Despite seeing my pictures with the advertised prices, he had employees go check the prices twice and then bring the signs to him. When shopping, please check the prices at register and compare with advertised price. Not first time this has happened to me. I just took the time to get it corrected this time.

Highly recommend going when they open because there is only one two way street in and out. Parking is a pain if you come during peak hours and due to the street, all it takes is someone to double park and we're all waiting to squeak by, don't be that guy. It's similar to Costco in offering bulk items. When you check out, there is one line. Workers will tell you but people will still try to cut and play dumb, again don't be like that.

I never wrote a review for BJ's... probably because it's more self service than anything; unless we are reviewing their selections of product, I guess. HOWEVER, I feel now is the right time to do so. During this insane COVID-19 crisis, I have to say... BJ's is freaking awesome compared to their competitor (C*stco)... it's just more reliable, cleaner, and not as horrendous of a shopping experience than C*stco. I know at the beginning of the hoarding... (stupid media drove them peeps insane!) it was bad all around, Wholefood, Traders, C*stco, Bj's, Target... everywhere!!! Now, I feel like there's a sense of calm so all the supply chains are doing their best to meet demands. Kudos to the management and double clap for the employees for keeping us customers stocked! It's been life changing for us in terms of food, our relationship to supplies and how we best plan out our meals. A heartfelt THANK YOU!

I always avoid the weekends but even so, Bj's lines can get crazy at any given time. I try my best to find the right off hours for a visit. Often I think about the differences between Bj's club and Costco club. Bj's location is more convenient for me. They don't have as much variety and exclusive items like Costco. I do feel that Bj's has better quality for the most part. BJ's has more of the basic essentials whereas Costco has more fun products to discover. Bj's has better membership deals. The club itself has spacious aisles, clean, and neat. They have clean/healthy eating options for many of their products. You'll find your vegan, gluten free, organic, etc. needs. I just wish they sold more ethnic items here. Their parking lot is designed so poorly, unsafe and not practical to circle for parking. Specifically the ground level. People also park illegally making it difficult for cars to navigate in and out. Please be safe! They either have none or lots of broken shopping carts. Their website is easy to navigate but their coupons are not automatic, you have to clip it to add it to your membership which makes it easy to miss out on a good deal. Their online prices matches their store prices but they have very little free shipping offers. They have free in store and curbside pick up. You don't need to be a member to shop at the liquor store next door but the shop has the smallest selection and not enough variety to enhance my Bj's trip. The park area, Brooklyn Bay Center surrounding the club is a nice relaxing, chill spot, super clean for a little R&R, fresh air, nice walk, catch a sunrise/sunset.

BJ's in general have what you need in bulk. BJ's during Covid-19 doesn't have everything you need but most things! Take what you can get. Expect long lines to enter the store and at the register to pay. It had gotten better in the late-summer to now (but those early Covid-19 days March-June was terrible). They do a good job enforcing capacity & social distance with the stickers on the floors-- however, there is always the few who doesn't follow. They always have cleaning station in front once you pass the staff at the entrance so you can sanitized the shopping cart with the wipes or the spray. Clorex & Lysol wipes are sold out. Bounty for awhile was sold out but a few were lucky to get them (especially if you order online early morning for curbside pickup before it was completely sold out). Sometimes toilet papers are also out and you will have to return to check when they are replenished. There are generic brand cleanser and some Lysol sprays available. There is a big supply of disposable masks. For a while, the gloves were all one size (S/M) and then was gone as well. You just have to constantly check and see what they have. Certain food items (perishables) are also out sometimes. Certain products have limits (limit 1 or 2 per card member). Certain items are re-arranged around the store so you would have to walk around everywhere to find the items as they are not in the proper aisles. In general, they are pretty good with supplies for the public and trying their best to keep up with all the demands. Everyone wear masks, social distance and is polite. Sometimes, shopping carts are very hard to find-- where did they all go? There was a few times we just went in without a cart and grab a box (luckily we only got a few items). It is normal to see people follow families to their cars to get the shopping cart (they ask of course). Saturday, 11/7, we came here for only one purpose. We came to get my mother-in-law a new TV. Samsung 55" TV that has a 3year warranty. The warranty is through the company; after we waited on line at customer service, they said we have to do it online through Samsung. The TV is a birthday gift for her as her old tv was old and worn out.

So I took back cover off and noticed the play belt slipped off the cam. This Tascam Porta 2 was serviced few years back by licensed Tascam company. Inside was clean as a whistle. So now I had no time to repair belt. Looked for repair shop and this store came up. Took unit to store and filled out on work order: Play belt slipped off cam. (See pic) Simple repair you think? Well let me tell you this place will pad the bill as high as possible. With frivolous work charges. When I went to pick up unit. I got a bill for $185 for 1 play belt. Ohh they charged me for Replaced Belts, Rebuilt Motor which was a lie etc. There was nothing wrong with anything except the play belt. On top of that they never called me to say this work needs to be done. Or provide any photos to show what they did. That's what I mean by padding the bill. So I show up to pick up unit and bring my own Tascam OEM power supply, that was original to unit. Plug it in and all is ok. Just wanted to pay and leave. There is one thing I learned in life. Never argue with a fool. Because that makes two fools. So low and behold I take unit to my job and less than an hour later the Tascam unit fails. All this work that was supposed done and it breaks done before I even get it home. Yea right! So now I take it back. And it takes another day. Funny thing is the guy working the counter is like. Hey bring that Tascam oem power supply back and he will trade it for a $3 Chinese power supply. I was born at nite. But it wasn't last nite. What a moron bad enough he is ripping me off for unapproved work. Now he wants me to trade a $30 Tascam oem power supply for a $3 one. What an idiot. Check it out if you enter this store. Enter at your own risk. And be specific about any repairs with the caveat if work goes beyond scope of original quote. That you need to approve it. And ask for proof like photos etc. And as of July 4 th after only using tape deck for two hours. Tape deck failed with same error as when taken into this shop for repair. Useless idiots who have no clue what they are doing.

I am extremely disappointed with the delivery service my mother received from PC Richard & Son…read more This past weekend, my mother visited the store to purchase an air conditioner and a smart TV. She scheduled delivery for Wednesday, July 15, between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., and provided the store with her complete address, including her apartment number. At approximately 9:00 a.m. on the day of delivery, the delivery team called to let her know they were on the way. A short time later, they called again to apologize, explaining that they had forgotten to load her TV and would be about 20 minutes late. My mother understood and told them that was fine. While she continued waiting, she suddenly received a text message stating that her delivery had been completed. This was confusing because no one had contacted her, knocked on her door, or delivered anything directly to her apartment. I called the delivery service on my mother's behalf while she went downstairs to check. She lives in a senior citizen building with a front desk attendant, so there should have been no difficulty locating her apartment or notifying her of the delivery. To our surprise, we found the air conditioner and TV left unattended in the building's lobby alongside the mail and other packages. The delivery team never attempted to bring the items upstairs, despite assuring my mother at the time of purchase that they would deliver everything directly to her apartment. What made the situation even worse was that the delivery crew had opened the TV box to test the television, then placed it back inside without properly closing or resealing the box. They simply left it open and walked away. This level of service is completely unacceptable. Not only did they fail to complete the in-home delivery that was promised, but they also left expensive electronics unattended in a public area where they could have easily been stolen or damaged. Considering that my mother is a senior citizen, this was especially frustrating and inconsiderate. I expected much better from PC Richard & Son. I hope the company addresses these delivery practices so that other customers--especially seniors--do not have to experience the same level of poor service.

It worked well enough for my purposes, I told myself. The built-in phono stage wasn't exactly usable, but I had my own external preamp that I liked, and there were times the sound would cut out if something got ever-so-slightly jostled, but then it stopped producing sound from the left channel altogether and the quirks stopped seeming so cute. I called Jude and described the problem. He picked the amp up and returned it sounding better than ever. I now have a restored amp that sounds great for less than I paid for it in its rusty, loose condition years ago. I would note that the quoted time frame was the Sunday following a Wednesday pickup, and it did take some phone tag to get the unit back, which ended up being two weeks after I first handed it off. My guess is that because we live in totally different parts of the city, Jude was trying to time the repair relative to when he could feasibly come my way, and from what he told me, the repair was somewhat more complicated than expected once he got around to it. Notably, this was during the stretch of winter when there were the two huge storms within a couple of weeks of each other, so that didn't help either. Delays like this obviously seem inherent to a one-person home operation, and I wouldn't have expected such a quick turnaround if not for the original quote (and other reviews mentioning quick turnarounds). He was always friendly and polite on the phone even as I worried I was pestering him. Overall, I felt the service lived up to my expectations. Given that he's a genuinely nice person providing a specialized service for reasonable prices and will pick up and drop off your gear for you (even if you don't live anywhere near Flatbush), I can't complain--just unfortunate timing that I found myself without a working stereo system out during a period when I was barely going outside.
