The pick up line inside the store moved quickly. The rep smiled, scanned my email notification, and I was out the door. Friendly and fast customer service at the pick up counter. I purchased a gas dryer in early July. Because of my schedule and their availability, I wasn't able to get it on the calendar until Saturday, July 25th. I was told that they could not install the dryer because my gas line was too short, and they provided info on what I needed to buy. Further, they told me that they could not disconnect the existing dryer because they could not leave the gas line disconnected. They also said I'd be able to reschedule the installation the next day, July 26. I was not able to access any reinstallation resources until Tuesday, July 28th. The re-installation was (I thought) scheduled for Thursday, July 30th. The services included were (1) installation and (2) haul away of old dryer. I received a call earlier today that haulaway was scheduled for tomorrow. There was no mention of installation services. I contacted their chat line multiple times, and was told multiple things, until I was dizzy with misinformation. I gave up trying, and called instead. I was told that the reason this was so screwed up is because they are using multiple systems. Of course, this is not my problem. I reluctantly agreed to delay installation until Wednesday, August 5th, but was clear that installation had to come first, then haul away, and of course, the optimal solution was both the same day. A lovely agent told me we were all set. I then received a text message saying that I needed to schedule installation (!!!!). I then went into another weird loop, and called yet again. I was assured that on Wednesday, August 5th, in the afternoon that installation would happen, and the device would be hauled away the same day. I have spent hours and hours trying to get this scheduled, and this is clearly not the way a purchase should happen. I am disputing (1) the purchase of the dryer + services and (2) initiation of the extended warranty, until the unit is installed, and the haul away I paid for is performed. read more

This Best Buy location is not the best. It should be renamed Worst Buy. The customer service doesn't exist. We went into purchase a new tv. The store was not busy at all. There wasn't an employee in site, let alone a person who works in the tv department. I walked up to the registers and let them know we wanted someone to help us. I was barely acknowledged. When the person finally looked up, they said to wait five minutes. Five minutes, turned into 15 minutes and still no sales associate. I walked around the store and there was no one to help and no one cared. The tv's on display were blasting and the music was also very loud. The combination of the loud tv's and the loud music was enough to give anyone a headache. We walked out and we don't plan to return anytime soon. read more

WARNING! The Atlantic Center store is selling counterfeit devices made to look like the real thing, but the products do not work. However, by the time you figure out they sold you a counterfeit device the return window has ended and they will not help you. They sold me what looked like a new, in-box Samsung SSD drive which sorta worked for a couple of hours, but eventually it always corrupted all the data on the drive. I worked with Best Buy support, Geek Squad and Samsung support, but no one could make the drive work. When I asked Best Buy for a replacement, they told me it was now past the 10-day return window and they would not replace it nor refund my money. They said my only option was to send it to Samsung as a warranty claim. But when I sent Samsung pictures of the drive, they said it was missing their authentication label, therefore the drive was counterfeit and they would not honor any warranty. I went back to tell all this to the store manager and her reply was "since it is past the 10-day return window we cannot help you." When I asked how to contact her boss, she told me I had to call the 1-800 customer service line. When I did that, the agent told me that they are part of the online group and since I picked up the product at a retail store I can only talk to the store manager. They have designed the perfect "pass the buck" system within their own company. One of the store employees literally told me that the problem with counterfeit devices being sold to their customers was happening more and more frequently. But apparently, they don't care what type of product their customers end up with, as long as they get to keep the customer's money. What a racket. read more

I am writing this review because I have recently had one of the most disappointing retail experiences and I wanted to share so that others can avoid the same headache and loss of money. I live in Brooklyn. I ordered a printer from Best Buy and it was delivered by a courier called Roadie. I wasn't home at the time of delivery; when I got the photo confirmation that the printer was delivered to the sidewalk outside of my apartment building, I knew there was no way it would be there when I returned home. Sure enough, when I got home, the printer was gone. I contacted Roadie who gave me the runaround and told me to contact Best Buy. I contacted Best Buy who gave me the runaround and told me to file a police report with the NYPD. The NYPD has way better things to do than track down a printer that was basically fair game. I hesitate to even call it theft - the printer's packaging identified what was inside and it was left in a completely public place. Because of Roadie's incompetence and complete lack of common sense (delivering a package to the sidewalk? In New York City? Come on now.) I am now out $80 and a printer with no plans to reimburse me or send a replacement. Both Best Buy and Roadie have utterly failed to take responsibility for this loss of product and I will never purchase technology from Best Buy again. Be warned: if Roadie is in charge of your delivery, you may never receive your purchase, and if Best Buy is the retailer, you will have absolutely no recourse when your purchase goes missing. read more

A few weeks back I purchased a SodaStream machine from this Best Buy. When I got home and opened the package, the item was clearly used and was not working. When I went, the very same day to return it, I was told that I could only receive a store credit. After much talking and my wife threatening to publicize this experience, the manager finally relented and returned our money. Me being a glutton for punishment I returned to this Best Buy this past weekend to buy two canisters for the SodaStream machine I had purchased elsewhere. I specifically asked for a quick connect canister which is what my new machine uses. Of course I did not receive the correct canister. Having never purchased these types of canisters before, I did not know the difference until I got home. I returned to Best Buy to return the canisters and of course they did not have the quick connect version. I said okay, please refund me my money and return to me my empty canisters, from my previous machine, that I had brought in as an exchange. The same manager went, purportedly, to retrieve the canisters and returned to indicate that the canisters were sent out for recycle already. So my only option was to return the incorrect canisters, receive a refund for them but be without my empty canisters which have a value of $15 each. This is the closest Best Buy location to me therefore I arranged to pick up my online purchases here. The communication is great in terms of notifying you when your items are ready for pick up. However, when you actually get there, it's a hit or miss as far as the wait time. On a Saturday, be prepared to wait a while before you get to the front of the line to pick up your item. Also, it's s helpful to have your I.D readily available to provide to the sales representative once you're next in line. Best Buy took 350$ of mine for a "trusted third party" delivery service for a tv. The delivery price was more than the tv but I naively thought because I was getting it from a large brand that this would streamline the process. I paid full price up front, then the day of the delivery the driver did not call or text within the window of time they gave. When I called customer service I had to insist to even get a contact or name of the third party delivery company. They simply said they are "unreachable" and to "try again in 24 hours." The delivery guys did finally come 2 hours late, with no apology or acknowledgment but at that point I was simply happy to see the product I paid for arrive and have a human being I could talk to. This is so scammy yall. Best Buy acts like this is new behavior too even though apparently this is common practice. I used Best Buy for this feature and while they did finally deliver it, it wasn't without spending hours with customer service and praying on the whims of some incredibly unprofessional people who were shielded by bureaucracy and the incompetence of customer service that doesn't even know who their third party delivery services are. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM BEST BUY ... they are the WORST BUY!!! I am a small landlord, I own 2 multiple-family houses in Brooklyn. I have bought DOZENS of major appliances from BB over the years. NEVER AGAIN!! I bought a nice-looking Frigidaire gas oven last month & I scheduled the installation. BestBuy never showed up, they did not even call or notify me, just a no-show. When I called them, they said they do not do gas appliance installs. So I scheduled the delivery for October 3rd, and scheduled the installation with my boiler plumber a few days later. I called Worst Buy and specifically asked them if they'd make an exception in their return policy (normally a mere 14 days) since this whole stove mess had been their fault in the first place. It took a 2+ hour phone call, but they finally agreed to do a 30-day return period on this oven. So when this oven proved faulty just 3 weeks after delivery--there was an explosion and strong smell of gas--I called Best Buy to return it ... and they refused. They said they have a strict 14-day return policy. I reminded them that that THEY HAD AGREED to make an exception in the return window, esp since it was BB who stood me up on the install. Their phone convos get recorded, so I told them the exact date & time of my call & asked them to retrieve the recording of the phone call. No beans. They won't listen to the phone conversation & they wouldn't take back the faulty stove. If they won't allow a return for a customer who's spent over $30,000 in appliances in the recent past, they surely won't do it for you! BestBuy has zero concept of customer service, they are horrible. I WILL NEVER EVER AGAIN BUY FROM BEST BUY, and neither should you!! read more

I can only speak to the order pick up, which is the only times I ever come here, but it's quick and easy -- you just have to give them your last name and ID to verify, and you're on your way. Service is alway super speedy and there aren't ever that many people waiting online. I find it much less stressful than other stores that do order pick up. Brought the laptop I bought here to be fixed by geek squad, they gave me the repaired laptop back with a huge crack in the screen. I was forced to return the laptop because they couldn't repair it properly - it was brand new. Came back recently to purchase a new laptop - walked around the computer section for 45 min asking for help, I even removed one of the items off the rack to cause an alarm - still no one came to help - an hour later I left the store without making any purchase. Today I went in to Best Buy #2518 625 Atlantic Ave Brooklyn ny 11217 To buy a TV . It turned out to be the most horrific experience I have ever had as a customer. I walked in and thought I was in a night club The music was so loud that I could barely hear my wife talking to me so I noticed a display playing the music and I turned the music down before I got two steps away it was turned up even louder than before so I turned it off thinking it was one of those automatic displays I walked about five feet to a register to get help from a Best Buy associate and told the young lady that the music was really loud so I turned it off. She then replied that she turned it up and turned it back on from the counter so I told her it's to loud and she didn't appreciate my comment and started to barrage me with all kinds of profanity. I asked for her name or employee ID # and she proceeded to curse me out and my mother and my wife was all kinds of profanities. I looked to see her ID tag that Best Buy associates usually wear but she didn't have one on so I asked for a manager and a young man came over and witnessed the young lady cursing me out. I Asked him if he heard her cursing me out he said yes and would make a report .He introduced himself as a manager and proceeded to de-escalate the situation and personally assisted me with my questions and purchase. Recently purchased a refrigerator from Best Buy thought I got a great deal got extended warranties and joined the Best Buy premier club giving me extended service also free delivery installation and removal of my old refrigerator which I had also purchased from Best Buy when a refrigerator arrived. I was told by a delivery man they couldn't neither remove the old one or installed the new one because it had to be lifted over a countertop. It seems they have under contract and can't lift anything over their waist, the two gentleman were not taller than 5'8" thus causing me to employ professional movers to do the installation for me causing me an additional $450. I thought I got a good deal. It turns out the savings on refrigerator. Had to be used to pay for an installation that was contracted to be free and removal that was contracted to be free. I took my laptop, bought from them, for an easy hardware repair. One of the hinges got loose (i had the loose screw as well). I could have it done it myself by i watching youtube but i always prefer a professional. I was surprised to hear tthat it would take about 5 weeks because they will ship my laptop somewhere else and the charges would be atound $400 (what?). I took it to a small mom and pop shop that deals in both soft and hardware and it was fixed right there. In summary, i will never go back to best buy. Wanted to gift a TV, but didn't want to wait the week estimated arrival from Amazon, which worked out fine since I try not to contribute to Bezos's road to trillionaire fund whenever possible--so Best Buy it was. Ordered around 2:30 pm and it said the TV would be ready for pick up in an hour. What it didn't say was that Best Buy has adopted new Covid hours (like most) and now closes at 4pm. Things I wish I'd known before I headed downtown. So of course I was well on my way there after 4 and just happened to call and got a voicemail which led to checking the hours online. Fast forward. It's the next day and I'm (somewhat) ready to do a 10 am pickup. Somewhat, since I came solo on this trip as my TV help from the day before was no more. But the associate Ashley was more than helpful and so nice. She directed me to the Carry-Out desk and arranged a carry out while I went to move my car closer to the entrance. Best buy used to be my favorite store, it is sad to see the place go down so much. I purchased a PC in open box excellent condition, I came to pick up the item, took it home and opened the box. Turns out it was so far from excellent condition, it was missing the keyboard, it was missed the mouse, and did I mention it was missing a small detail.. the power cord. So yeah, I couldn't even turn it on. By Best Buy's definition of excellent condition, it should come with ALL accessories. Not to mention, it was packaged horribly, a small amount of bubble wrap in an oversized box, and it was dirty. So I carried it all the way back to a best buy a few days later, because I was told over the phone I can return it and get a replacement. So I arrived and they told me the could not replace it as the sale price I bought it for had increased, and I would have to pay the difference if I wanted a replacement. I tried to explain their own policy which states I could replace, exchange, or refund... but no. I then asked, ok can you at least give me a power cable, some mouse and keyboard. They again said no. Wtf? I ended up just getting my money back, and now I have no computer... due to no fault of my own. Best Buy failed in multiple steps in resolving my issue. But this was horrible. The employees seemed nice enough, it seems they are trapped in a horrible framework of unhelpful rigid policies. Anyway, if you made it this far, then pickles. Went to Best Buy Geek Squad at this location and they destroyed my PC. Brought my PC in because it was making noise. They informed me it was the Water Cooling system. I purchased a new and they installed it INCORRECTLY. The pc was making loud noises and Black screening with BSODs. Brought it back and they then still could not correct it. More black screens, more BSODs. I have been given the run around for two weeks. Called online remote support, not help, contacted HQ, who told me the store would "work" with me to replace it. Got sent to BestBuy warranty and got disconnected and received NO follow-up call. Please save yourself a headache and stay TF away from this store and Geek Squad! Came here to return my TV that was damaged during shipment they turned it on which was annoying that they didn't believe me and had a bit of an attitude but I was able to walk out the same day with a replacement tv. They have A STRICT RETURN POLICY SO MAKE SURE ITS WITHIN I THINK 14 days of item delivery!! They also honored that the price went down and they were able to refund the difference. Worst Best Buy experience ever at the worst run Best Buy store I've ever seen. There were 20 employees on hand at 5pm on a quiet weeknight, yet no one wants to do anything except text on their phones. Three people in line and just one cashier, and took nearly 20 minutes to check out. I asked someone if I could quickly pay for something (they had a register and credit card machine) but they directed me to go to "checkout" and quickly diverted their attention back to their cell phone. Was in Best Buy to look for a Samsung Smartwatch. I was all ready to buy one (not cheap) , I just needed to decide which model. All I wanted to do was try the Pro 5 model on (it is a bit thicker than the other models) and test out the digital bezel, as opposed to the physical bezel. I was informed that none of the watches could be tried on. Further, none of the watches worked....like, not a single one of the models put out. When I mentioned that the Apple store allows you to try on all the watches, with a large selection of the different bands available, the sales person basically recommended I go there. I never thought I would need to write a review for Best Buy.... But here I am. I was in need of an Amazon Fire TV this past Saturday, so since I was in the area, I stopped here. I am from NJ and normally go to the ones by me, never had an issue. I went in and grabbed what I needed, then proceeded to the registers to check out. There were 3 registers open, in the middle of December, when it's the peak of holiday shopping season. Obviously, the line moved very slowly. When I finally got to check out my one item, I couldn't believe how ridiculously slow and painful the process was. Either the guy who was ringing me up was new, or was just completely incompetent.... He didn't know how to open the box that the item was in, someone had to come do it for him. He asked me for my phone number for my rewards account, I had to give it to him 3 times for him to actually get it into the system. I told him I had a $15 rewards certificate on my account and gave him my bar code on my phone, he had no idea how to put it into the system... Someone else came over again and helped him do that. The process of actually paying for it with my credit card was even worse... I have never been this frustrated trying to buy something at a Best Buy before. No wonder the lines here are so long. Never again, will just wait til I get back to Jersey next time. read more
