i am not sure why the reviews are so low for this store, but i noticed many of the lower reviews are older. also it seems the lower reviews may have been for people looking to shop quickly for a only few things. i believe BJs is better for bulk shopping. i shop at this BJs and the one in Waltham regularly, and i find this one especially well stocked and clean. with a big family, the larger sizes and lower prices are helpful, especially these days. read more

I've had a BJ's membership for a couple of years, but until today had only been there to purchase prescription eyeglasses. That was a great experience. Today I thought I'd go to see what else they had. The store is set up pretty much like Costco. However, it was very clean, not at all crowded, parking was easy, and the aisles are marked so you have a clue about where to find things. The prices were great. I only bought a few things - blueberries and grapes were much less expensive than at Stop & Shop and everything looked fresh. I bought 18 eggs for $8.99, as opposed to $12.99 at Stop & Shop. They have a self checkout but I went to a cashier. Short wait, but the cashier was personable and quick. All in all, this is a great store and I'm glad I went. I'll absolutely return. read more

first, the prices here are great. You do have to buy in bulk quantities, but it's well worth it on a stockup trip, and well overcomes the cost of the membership. Store is clean and well stocked. I docked a star because sometimes they are out of the particular brands I rely on. Everyday staples are plentiful here. Produce area has been a great find. Staff is always helpful. Go to stop n shop if you need deli meat. They are slow rude and can't slice the meat thin if you ask. Check yourself out or have someone throw your stuff back in cart. read more

Criminal. I was at Bjs today and waited 20 minutes in line at the deli, only 2 people ahead of me. There were 2 associates working there. They were taking forever. One Black employee while cutting meat had headphones on, singing to himself and a really old white guy, very slow, ignoring customers, I dealt with the black guy when it was my turn to get cold cuts. His English was not that good. He really didnt seem to care about his job and it seemed it was more of a chore than anything to deal with people for him. he asked if the other guy was helping me, which was strange as he just called me up to him. Then asked what i wanted. 2 different cheeses, which he did fine. A long line formed behind me and the other guy was already taking other customers. He asked if there was anything else i needed. So I stated BBQ Chicken. I was then told he wasnt doing meats only cheeses. I said "what is that, what do you mean only cheeses, I waited 20 minutes in line. I am not waiting in line again for meat" He then said ok, what is it you wanted again. I said BBQ chicken. He then doesnt take the BBQ chicken from the back rack. literally where the other white guy had put it back after slicing it for a different customer. Nope, he took it from the corner of the room and near a sink started doing something strange with his hands. He then slices it and hands it to me, Its a few dollars over the 1 pound amount i asked for , I start walking away but open it because for some reason gut instinct tells me somethings wrong. Inside the bag its slimey chicken thinly sliced (i asked for thick) But Slimey? thats like week old chicken, it was disgusting. there was white all around the chicken slices that shouldnt be there like soap or something. had no idea what it was. This guy had tampered with the food. I was and stil am pissed. This food was for my kids I never once was nasty to this guy, but he literally is trying to poison my family. I am beyond livid and it took a lot for me not to reach over the desk, i work on my anger issues but boy was I boiling. I went to the manager at the front desk. A Hispanic kid maybe in his 20s. Asked me the issue i told him and he took a picture, saying he would talk to the back. I am harnessing all my patience at that point. Asked me to identify, told him its a black kid with headphones. But I am thinking he's going to talk with the back? Really, this is a crime, tampering with food because he was too lazy to do his job and got irritated I asked for meat slices? , This is a job for Police and OSHA at this point. The manager told me he that "yeah I wouldnt eat this, definitely something wrong" Yet he never went to the back he stood at the front while I helped my father buy his groceries which took us 10 min. I have hated this place for a long time because of their lack of customer care but they literally tried to poison me and my family. I have never made a complaint before at any place. I have PTSD and was in the military. I was proud of myself for not doing anything rash but mad that this wasnt taken more seriously, I was pretty calm but it irritates me more, the more I think about it. I should have taken pics and called the police. Don't think I could step back in there if I saw that guy working behind the counter again They do not care about customers here, They do not hire competent people . I threw away my card tonight. Never going back. I plead with anyone that shops here to think about this post. If they dont care what happens to a stranger and the food their employees tamper with, why take the chance to shop here if they may do the same to you and your family. Just dont shop here. Been a member for 20 years with a credit card. Every year upon renewal received a $10 credit until the card was transferred to Capital One. My wife called 2 months ago and was told it was no longer done, but as a it would be done 1 time. She called today to see it was not done and she was told there is no record. The customer service rep just plain lied. He just wanted to get her off the phone. There is no recourse as BJ's customer service is thousand of miles off shore. So three time is a charm. I've gone twice and after price comparisons have not found big savings. Big yes, big bags, big bulk, lots in one container but price...NOT big savings. So each time I've walked out and skipped the "membership". It cost $50 and they offered a $40 membership if we skipped the trial and bought into the "real" membership. We went with the trial and will see if will pay off. Obviously for parties it is fastier and easier to go in and buy in bulk. In general I don't have a lot of space to put big boxes of cereal. However, the saving seem to be in the medications. With allergy season fast approaching they have the lowest prices around for all the name brands like Zyrtec, the Allegra that just came out over the counter, and Claritin. There is a no name brand that has the same ingredients (so my allergist told me) so I got a bottle of 300 to try. At 0.05 a pill vs. 0.50 I am willing to take a chance. To those of you who sneeze, cough, and have post nasal drip, plus the tissues and appts it can add up. read more

I had ordered online. I could not get the check in app to work. I tried calling their customer service but the person was absolutely useless. After waiting I finally went into the club when I tried to check in one more time. I could actually check in once I was one in the club. I went back to the car and the order came out shortly. Trying to figure out if there was no one or only a few people doing the curbside check. This is the first time I had a problem like this. read more

Although this review pertains to AT&T, BJ's hosts AT&T at their location, and should be made aware that regular customers are being treated rudely. I do not care for being approached by salespeople while I'm shopping, but I am never unfair or rude. I simply decline by saying "I'm all set, thank you". Today, 1/22/20 around 5:30pm, I was shopping for groceries at BJ's as we passed the AT&T booth the salesman said "Hey guys how you doing?" which is obviously his segway into his pitch. This is fine, I simply do not wish to waste his time or mine or get sucked into a pitch, so as I always do, my reply was "We're all set, thank you". To which he rudely and aggressively said "I asked you how you were doing?" and then continued to mutter things as we walked away. Obviously AT&T has not posted this person there to ask people how they are doing. Pestering people from a sales booth is not pleasant work, I'm sure, but this person is clearly in the wrong. I can't imagine how he reacts to someone who simply does not reply, or asks not to be bothered. I love the idea of BJ's, and shop here regularly, but am getting to a point with the pestering 3rd party salespeople where it's an annoying and anxious experience. I would encourage the manager of this BJ's location to have a talk with this AT&T salesman, or his supervisor. If people do not wish to be sucked into a sales pitch, that is their right. If you can't handle that, you definitely need to find new work where you don't need to interact with people. I was so off-put by his comment that I returned, where he had some other couple locked in, and was pestering them, so I inquired if he asked them how they were doing? To which he said "Wow, worst guy ever". No I'm not the worst guy ever, I just don't wish to be bothered. If I decline to interact with you, that's my right. If I want to sign up for AT&T, (which I would now NEVER do) I will go to an AT&T store, the same way I don't go to AT&T to buy groceries. Obviously it takes about a 4th grade education to do the job this man is doing, so if he doesn't have the social skills to handle himself in that environment, I would encourage him to go break rocks or something and stop bothering people. read more

I was expecting this place to be a disaster...... but my experience was phenomenal! I live by the BJ's in Dedham, and when summer comes around I shop at BJ's for snacks for the summer program at the school I work at. Even though I have no problems with that store, I try to avoid it because of how busy it is. If they have all 25 of their registers open and still have 15-20 minute lines, I don't complain because they are trying the hardest they can. So, instead, I continue to email and call them regarding opening another BJ's in my area, and for now shop at the others, like this one and in Franklin. Franklin is a breeze, and being that Framingham is much larger and busier, I anticipated this location to be somewhat like the Dedham store, but I was in the area and didn't have time to go elsewhere. Even though the layout of this BJ's is very choppy, at least the food / snack section, the store is very clean, and not nearly as busy as I expected from the business of the parking lot, and because of where it's located. Staff are all very friendly, helpful, and efficient, and the lines are amazing! I didn't even have to wait in line for a self checkout machine on a SATURDAY!! How is this even possible! Prices are the same as other BJ's locations, and they have the same and better features than others, such as BJ's Optical, Verizon, and even a Subway. I'll be definitely returning! 4 stars for the Framingham location. Directions. Being that basically all of the "good" stuff in Framingham is either on Route 9 or Route 30, Whittier Street may seem odd to have a big store like this. However, it is very easy to access. Best ways to get to this place is from either the small entrance (going in only) from Old Connecticut Path, the main entrance with the odd set up on Whittier Street (take a left on Whittier from Route 30 East, take a right on Whittier from Route 30 West), and take a left at the Burr Street / Newbury Street light. Another access point is by cutting through the Framingham Mall parking lot to the rear end of BJ's. read more

I visited BJs in Framingham on 3/17 around 2pm. I was shopping with a few friends in preparation for an event we were hosting. I have always had good experiences when shopping in this location until today. I was specifically looking for chicken wings (not drums), and had kindly asked a women working in the meat department wearing a white coat staking away beef... if she knew where I could find chicken wings. Her response was "THEY WILL BE IN THE CHICKEN DEPARTMENT!" Laughed and then pointed vaguely to the left of me. My friends and I were so shocked at her behavior that I just walked away. As I started to walk away and towards the area she eventually walked towards me and said "DO YOU NEED GLASSES? THEY ARE THE ONES WITH THE ORANGE LABELS" then proceeded to pick up a bag stick at the back of the cooler with a tiny orange sticker on it. This woman was extremely condescending and was talking to me as if I were I child. Unfortunately I believe because my friends and I were young and diverse she assumed she could speak to us this way. This is absolutely unacceptable! Shame on her and shame on BJs for not instilling in all of their associates the importance of customer service. When I lived in Framingham, there were two supermarkets in the area, and they were both Stop & Shop. Stop & Shop is overpriced and their produce is always old (which doesn't make any sense, given their obvious volume). So I would basically avoid S&S like the plague and get everything at Trader Joes and BJ's. BJ's is great because the produce is fresh, and the prices on everyday items beat the supermarkets (plus all the department store stuff is cheap too). You have to know when to go, or you'll get stuck in line, though. after 8:00 at night is great, but don't go on Saturday or Sunday afternoon/early evening without being prepared for a wait. read more

*This review is strictly for the Tire Center.* Got 4 new tires and both driver's side wheel balances fell off less than a week after installation. Spoke with Wilberto, who installed the tires, and he was both unapologetic and unwilling to resolve this in a manner convenient to our schedule. Considering the work was not done correctly the first time, steps should've been taken to correct this in an accommodating manner and that didn't happen. On a positive note, the woman I spoke with from their main customer service line put me in the touch with the Operations Manager at this location, and they were both extremely helpful in resolving this with an appointment time that works for me. read more

This store like all BJS has a great variety of brands. It's a very large store with a full bakery, deli, and tire center. The 2 stars boils down to poor management. The supervisor was standing at the desk eating cheese samples as she watched super long lines form! To make matters worse she only allowed 2 registers to be open and half of the self check out. It was mind boggling to me that here she is suppose to be supervising the front and she's eating snacks. This isn't the first time I have seen this women act unprofessionally she has been there for a long time. Better management is needed! read more

Compared to most bulk items stores, this is pretty similar in all respects to the rest of them. Nothing special. The prices are typical of a bulk items store, so you get a large pack of items for a low overall cost. I am a little disappointed in their overall selection, since they only stock a few brands of each different item, and they could always give out more free samples (my favorite part of any BJs, Costco, etc.). read more

I like the Framingham store except the DELI! I don't understand how management tolerates the painfully slow service and lost sales. I have been a member of BJ's since 1984 when Herb Zarkin started it and it was a well run operation when Laura Sen was CEO for many years as both were top notch merchandisers. I shop there at least once a week for office supplies and personal stuff and I always made sure to never pick-up more than 8 items so I could blast through the fast lane. Today it was closed. I used to love the place, but not anymore. The current financial group that runs the place is clueless. Now when you need a staple that you buy every week or so is on a special with a a cupon they move it from the regular location and set-up an end cap that is just about as far away from the normal location and in an area that makes no sense. Shipping tape in landscaping supplies. This is simple 101 merchandiser stuff. I just left the Plymouth Club after searching for a half hour and nobody has any idea where or why it was not in the usual place, then having one register open that was having a problem so it left only the scan your own. The doolar off is not worth the time and bother. The nature of large items requires a scanning gun and by the time somebody go there another 10 minutes only to have the scanning gun not work. I am up for corporate renewal and decided to pass. I can get the same thing delivered by Amazon, WB Mason and now Walmart for the same price or cheaper. Clubs were a great idea for small businesses as they were easy and represented savings. It is easy to understand why Amazon is killing bricks and mortar retail. read more

Over the past couple years I bought two sets of tires for my car at the Framingham BJ's. The price on the tires was pretty good and they include free change over, however the service is sub par. Every time I need to get the tires swapped over (snow to summer and vice versa) it is nearly impossible to get an appointment. Not because they are booked up, but because you cannot schedule online and no one answers the phone at the tire center. This past weekend I went to the tire center in person to make an appointment and the one guy working never left the garage area to attend to the line of people at the register. I waited nearly 30 minutes and no one helped me or the other people waiting for service. I finally went to the member services counter to complain about the lack of service in the tire center and she told me I could just go online and make an appointment. This was a lie. As I am writing this, I am on hold with BJ's Framingham, trying to get a hold of someone in the tire center. This is the fourth day of attempting to get an appointment. read more

Renewed my membership late. Expired on 7/31. Renewed 9/1. Was told my membership expiration date would be adjusted TWICE at the customer service desk in Framingham, to 9/31. This has still not happened, and it is 11/10. The member service reps in Framingham are SUPER LAZY and LIARS. Do not even bother with them. Call the 1-800 number. I think this is going to be my last year with bj's... had it with the lack of cashiers open too, (always ONE LINE open with the line three deep of baskets that are overflowing). People, seriously, don't bother with this place when prices at Walmart are cheaper... check for yourself. read more

.BJs product selections seem to be changing. Items we used to find are no longer at the store. For example, like Joy Dish Soap and they no longer have it in Framingham, MA for some reason. My husband tried to buy whole bean coffee and they could not find it. They only had the ground coffee. We have been members since BJs opened in Westboro, MA. i love the aspect of BJ's and i love most of the employees, they are always willing to help. One thing that i find appalling is that i was in the Framingham Ma BJ's Wholesale Club for one of my normal visits. I was in the Bakery area and needed assistance. This young female didn't seem to understand what i was asking ( completely understand ) so she respectfully told me to hold on and she was going to contact the manager for further assistance. ( i was extremely grateful ) I ended up speaking with the Bakery Manager, her name was Natalie i believe. She was of help but when she left and went back into the bakery 1) i heard her speak of me as " yet another customer who needs their hand held " ( i was appalled ). I Then was still in the bakery getting bagels when i heard her towards the back of the bakery yelling at the young girl. telling her she was "useless" and "not good enough" and that she "works with a bunch of children". i stayed to listen to the rest of her conversation and come to find out the young lady has only been there a few months and she was in tears because of the bakery manager. I personally will never be shopping in the framingham Ma BJ's Wholesale club, at least nowhere near the bakery because if this is how the management treats their employees AND their customers, i don't want to be around that. As for the management treating that young lady with such disrespect, the manager needs to be reprimanded, or fired. because that is uncalled for read more

I am a big fan of the chain but this location never has enough cashiers working. Often they have one regular cashier and one express cashier working. You are forced to use the self checkout or wait 15 minutes for the one cashier. I try to avoid this store location and go to another BJs location. All the other stores I have been to are able to staff the registers. read more

Found major damage to a tire and needed four new ones quickly. Clerk told me tires would take 24-48 hours to arrive and could be installed quickly. Five days later no tires still. Several calls and no service. Finally got a refund to my credit card. Will not return. They should be more honest in setting customer expectations. Do not trust them. Almost a week later I need to find tires elsewhere, wish I got them a few days ago when promised. Not even an apology for lack of service or fulfillment of commitment. I and my family have enjoyed shopping at the Clay, NY store for several years. A few weeks ago I noticed that the fuel price on the signs was not the same as the higher price on the pumps. I asked to speak to a manager. As I was attempting to notify the manager that the signs needed to be changed, she stated she knew that and that I was to stop saying anything, I was not to speak to anyone and I was to get in my car. I was aghast that a manager would be so rude and unprofessional to a customer. I spoke to the General Manager to no avail. The four memberships in my name will not be renewed. read more
