My service tech came out today (James) super awesome guy, very knowledgeable and didn't try to pressure me or sell anything to me like some reviews show. He didn't have my equipment to warranty and replace so he's going to see when the next available time for those install folks can come back. It was clear on what parts are covered and which aren't, and James also provided me with some great info about an annual plan or monthly that can help save money on future costs that could arise. Very happy with the service, just disappointed the system failed within 2 years. I'm glad that it will be resolved shortly.

Here's the "timeline of torture": I contacted my home warranty company on Monday May 11th, 2020. They in turn contracted Door "CLOWN" Genie - who came out to my home on Tuesday May12th, 2020. They looked at my garage door opener and said "Yep - the motor is burned out and needs to be replaced" (which I already knew - so I said $75 bucks to be told something I already knew). The CLOWNS (door genie) said that they's call my home warranty company to "get authorization to replace the door opener unit. A week went by and I didn't hear a peep out of my home warranty company nor the CLOWNS at door genie. I called them on Thursday May 11th, 202 - to which I was told "We can't get a hold of your home warranty company" (basically a case of "pissing on my back and telling me it's raining"). ANOTHER WEEK GOES BY until today - I called the CLOWNS at door genie and said "Hey, remember me?" to which they responded "we don't work with your home warranty company anymore". I said GOOD - because you guys SUCK AT CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!! DO NOT WORK WITH THESE CLOWNS !!!

The service technician was a man named Eric, who arrived with a well equipped truck, prepared to handle any problem on the spot. Eric diagnosed the problem quickly - he replaced two heavy springs with ones that were larger and stronger (better suited to our garage door than the ones that snapped), and had the problem resolved in about an hour. He was pleasant, polite and professional, and clearly knew what he was doing. All Tech also gave us a 3 year warranty, which is very reassuring. I recommend this company to anyone needing this service.

Our garage door spring broke over the weekend. We called a few places for quotes and BK Garage Doors quoted far less than the other places we were able to get a hold of. He also sounded very honest and helpful. He said he wouldn't be able to fix the garage door over the weekend but offered to help us get our cars out if they were stuck. Fortunately, we did not need assistance with that. I told him I thought the cable and spring had broken and requested both be replaced. He let me know the cable likely wasn't broken and he could likely still use my existing cable without charging me for a new one (not many places try to talk you out of spending extra money). He would only charge $30 for the new cable and install if I really wanted one, but again said it likely wasn't needed. I requested he do it anyway since it was only $30. He came out first thing during the business week and seemed to do a great job fixing the garage door. He noticed some stress fractures in our garage a put on a used support beam for us for FREE, installed the new spring, installed the new cable I requested and fixed my old cable and used it on the other side for extra support. It's been a few months since he fixed our garage, and everything is still working perfectly. read more

I had a great experience with BK Garage Doors. George was able to come to Sedona from Flagstaff and replace my garage door springs (one had broken, but it is generally recommended that both are replaced when one breaks) within 36 hours of us talking. A large and well known company had given me a lead time of one week, and quoted me a higher price. George was very professional and punctual, allowed for very easy communication leading up to the appointment, and did the job quickly and expertly, and also serviced the automatic door opener and tracks for no extra fee. No up charging or hidden fees were brought up. He also taught me how to service the tracks with the correct lube so I can keep the door working well myself reducing the need for a service call. When he was done I could basically open the heavy double door with a couple of fingers, that's how well balanced the door was (the old springs someone else had installed had been too small and weak for my door btw). George also warned me about companies trying to sell you insurance on the garage door, which is typically a big fraud. My experience with George and BK Doors could not have been better. I called BK Garage Doors a couple years ago because my door was stopping and reversing just a couple feet up. Over the phone George suggested I needed to realign the sensors, which worked perfectly. Today I called him to get a new remote for my garage door. He came out the same day, serviced my very old and in need of service door quickly and very professionally. He did great work for a very reasonable price. I can't say enough good things about his service and his quality of care. He is very customer oriented, charges fairly, and explains things very clearly to an non-technical electric garage door owner. You can trust him and his work. A spring broke on the double garage door and I called BK because they are a local Flagstaff company. Within an hour George sent me an email asking a couple of questions. Within the next hour I received the cost to repair, which I jumped on. Bottom line, George and his brother came to the house, both were in masks for COVID 19, and they went to work. The quality of their work reflects their work ethic. Most of all, with the repair they adjusted the system and it is amazingly quiet!! Called BK (George) on a Friday evening to take a look at my broken garage door. I didn't expect him to be able to come out right away, but he came as soon as possible and fixed it within the hour! He did a great job and fixed up a few other things that were previously wrong with the garage door. I had asked another garage door company earlier for an estimate and they tried to charge me several hundred dollars more than what George charged.
