This was an interesting experience. I have been to their other location and decided to try this one this time. I called ahead to place a to-go order and they had trouble understanding my order. It was a language issue and I think this location has fewer options than the other one. Waze took me through some country roads off Hwy 101 to get here and I was thrown off since it took me to a Fashion Mart store. Turns out this location is inside the bigger store. Acai bowl~ you can really taste the acai falvor in the blended part, plus all the topping were fresh and delicious. Tostilocos~BOMB! I rotate between the gainz acai bowl which comes with peanut/almond butter blended in based on your preference and the jugo super verde which is not the sugar filled green odwalla juices you pick up at the grocery store... it is filled with spinach, ginger, kale, lemon, and apple. Your food and drink varies based on who happens to be there that day, but none the less it is one of the few healthy options East Salinas has to offer. The cups of fruit are made fresh everyday, and when you follow the owner on instagram, you can see how often he picks up produce and know you are getting fruit that has not been sitting out. You can call in ahead of time and have your food and drinks ready, otherwise you can count on waiting about 15 minutes. Im a customer I went in to get a fruit cup for my son but then decided to order some green juices I was being helped by a lady when I told her I wanted the green apple juice but she looked at me confused and said they didn't have that and pointed me towards the agua fresca menu I ended up getting a tamarindo and a Jamaica but I wanted them in a jarrafones she said that it would be an additional cost which I said that would be fine she charged me almost $11 for each agua keep in mind that's not even what I wanted in the first place and to finish it off they said they only had one jarrafone and asked if I wanted a display one I said yes but different lady came and pulled the display one the menu fell and if it wasn't for me holding the menu it would of fallen on me and my son. The lady still had the audacity to have an angry face and not even apologize for the menu falling on us lady was like 4'10 trying to reach a height of 5'5 which is really lazy if that would of fallen on me or my son I would've been really upset. Good place with an array of options available. Sandwiches are good, pepinos locos are good, the torta was good. I also had an agua de limón which is more of a blended drink... not what I was expecting. The famous Acai bowl is good but I give them 3 stars for not having consistency for the items ordered. It seems their is a lack of effort on the standardization of how to prepare each item. This place can be much better with some organization. They have about a dozen people working behind the counter and it doesn't seem like they follow recipes. Drinks are always inconsistent in flavor. My "Cucumber" Mint Lemonade tasted like she took a bunch full of mint and blended it, didn't taste like cucumber at all. When she took my order she asked if I wanted the lemonades with the fixings (chamoy,takin, cucumber pieces) and I said yes. I paid and then she called me back up to charge me more money "because it's extra for the fixings". The counter space is very small and when it's crowded it becomes an elbowing battle to try and get up to pick up your order. Napkins and straws are all on this counter as well. read more

Absolutely love this place! I think I have recommend it to everyone I know. Have never been disappointed. All the juices and smoothies I've tried are delicious! There acaí bowls are BOMB! This place is AMAZING and very deserving of 5 stars. It was a little tricky to find - it is located in the back of a flea market. From the street it is not visible (the only way we even found it we when we were driving around the back and saw the truck parked outside....had it not been for that, we would have most likely left!). Had an açaí bowl and two sandwiches (tuna and chicken) the total was around $20 and unbelievably fresh. The portions are huge and everything was fast. The perfect, hidden gem found from our drive back to San Francisco. Must visit!!! read more

I like the fact that they have a lot of "healthy" options to choose from. However, I am giving this place 3 stars because their customer service is not the best. I have experienced them hanging up on me on a phone order, receiving the wrong order, and I've also been given attitude for correcting them. I have been given attitude multiple times, that's why I finally decided to post a review to let others know so they know what to expect. My sister and I have made comments about one of the worker's attitude to the owner, but we haven't seen any difference in their customer service. It's a shame, but it seems like I'm going to have to take my business elsewhere if the customer service doesn't improve. read more

I don't usually frequent juice bars, in fact, I came in to BKM Healthy Foods to get a torta after seeing a picture of one on their advertisement flier. I've always found juice bars to be over-priced and over-rated, specifically in places like Monterey. Once here, I decided why not try one of their juices? I went for it, the Super Verde is really good and the torta de queso was amazing. From what I could see they had plenty of vegetarian options. Granted, not everything on the menu is healthy but aside from some sweets and some items that you can tell are a little high in sodium everything is on the cleaner end of the spectrum. However, all of their produce looked crisp and fresh. Sandwiches, tortas and tostadas were clean (not greasy or high in fat) which I would say definitely puts them on the healthy end of the spectrum when it comes to going out to eat. This is definitely one of my new favorite spots! read more
