I spent the month of July in Rosemary Beach. This was my absolute favorite place to eat. I wish I had gone sooner because I would have been back often! It was totally worth the drive from Rosemary to Grayton. I had the Grains bowl as well as a biscuit with butter and home-made jam, they were DELICIOUS!! I was so surprised by the amazing combination of the egg, quinoa, greens, farro, pecans, etc. I also had the Tan Lines iced coffee and it was amazing as well. We waited in a long line, a little over 15 mins, but it was totally worth it. You could tell by the amount of people there willing to wait! I would recommend this place 100x over. The service was decent, and the bread and pickled veggies on my pork báhn mì was awesome, but that's about the only good thing I can say about my experience at black bear bread co. The pork on mine and my fiancé's sandwich was dry and really had no flavor at all which was disappointing considering you're paying 15 dollars for a sandwich with no sides or any extra sauce. Now for the coffee... it was not good. At all. The drip coffee tasted like it had been sitting for a few hours and the espresso in my latte was so under extracted that it tasted sour. I can't say my experience was horrible but I can't say that it was good, I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again. read more

I loved Black Bear! I went almost every day of my vacation. I got an Gibraltar- basically a double cortado. Great coffee, well poured! They had Topo Chico available for purchase. There is no better combo than espresso and a mineral water. The food is also great. They have several vegetarian options. I loved the croissant breakfast sandwich- fried egg, fresh greens, melted cheese. Amazing and simple! The wine selection in their bar area next door is FANTASTIC. I wish I lived on 30A just so I could visit this Cafe every day! My husband and I popped in after seeing that they served Stumptown Coffee (he used to live in Oregon). We ordered the Bagel & Lox and Egg and Bacon Biscuit with some coffee. Both items were absolutely fresh and delicious that we decided to come back the next day for breakfast again! On the next day, we got another biscuit, the avocado toast, a cinnamon brown sugar poptart & almond croissant for the road. I'm not sure if I've ever had better road trip food. The almond croissant was the best I have ever had! The service is great, the location is clean and beautiful, and the food is absolutely exceptional! The pastries we ordered were fantastic. The espresso drinks were weak and the cold brew was very bitter/sour, not the smooth flavor I'm accustomed to in cold brew. Absolutely fantastic. I will be coming back here again as soon as possible. The menu is so dynamic and unique, it makes me feel like I'm back in a big city but with a cozy small (beach) town feel. We pick the house we stay at during our week long stay in Santa Rosa based partly on how close it is to the beach but also on the fact that it is walking distance to this amazing bakery. The, crunchy and soft, sweet and slightly salty kouign Amann is unlike any pastry I have tried before and paired with a cup of their delicious cappuccino it is an awesome start to our mornings. Hidden away in an area that looks like little start-up business shacks, this is a legitimately amazing hole-in-the-wall find. Go there and get the Salmon Lox bagel spread on a sea salt bagel. I cannot express how amazing this is, not sure why, but it's great. Get a Bro-Mosa (it's Orange Juice and a special kind of Wit Beer)... which is somehow a really really good mix, especially in the morning. The mocha in their drinks is dark chocolate so it's flavorful and not too sweet, the vanilla on the other hand is simple syrup and very sweet. Highly recommend simple drinks with mocha and not much else added. Either way, this place is worth going out of your way to find. read more
