Coffeee Shoppe delivered on both fronts! I originally visited this cute little shop on 30A to get caffeinated but then I also felt the call to order some food. The baked goods in the case were super tempting, as was the Avocado Toast, but I eventually went with breakfast tacos. They were fairly basic with just eggs, cheese and avocados but they were the perfect pairing for my black, cold brew. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We stopped by this coffee shop on our way back to Colorado and were a bit confused at first, the doors were locked, but there were people inside enjoying coffee.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When the door was opened briefly, I asked if they were open and received a response that felt a little unwelcoming. I understand it was New Year's Day, and if they were closed, a simple explanation would have helped avoid the confusion. That said, the coffee itself was strong and very delicious, which is why I still wanted to leave a positive review. I didn't try their food. In their menu I saw they serve breakfast items like crepes and croffles, the latter is a cross of croissant and waffles. Their breakfast menu intrigued me; their coffee is good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their establishment is modern with comfortable chaises and sofas as well as independent tables and chairs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The store was somewhat untidy- floors dirty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They close at two, today, I'm not sure what their schedule is for the week and weekends. Service is curt and unfriendly all around. We did not feel welcome and although their " cold service " might have had to do with their close time, it was off putting. Too bad because I would have returned to try their food. In reply to the manager: While it's understandable you're busy over the holidays, every customer should receive a friendly welcome OR you can lock the doors when you feel you can no longer be hospitable. We stopped here on our way out of town and it was the best breakfast and coffee I've had on this trip! I was bummed I didn't discover it sooner. We are regulars to the area and didn't know about it previously. Staff was friendly and helpful answering questions about the menu. We stopped by for a few coffees to go. We ordered the cold brew with hazelnut syrup and an iced caramel latte. The latte was delicious! The cold brew with the hazelnut syrup was inedible. Bitter coffee with a super sweet/tangy syrup that did not have an identifiable flavor to me. It most definitely did not taste like hazelnut. The drink menu was much smaller than I was expecting (only a few classic options, no specialty drinks) and it was pricey. I spent $20 on 3 drinks. Overall, probably won't be back. read more

Bagel was crisp on the outside, soft in the center. Was warm. Not much flavor in the bagel. Bacon was good quality, eggs were made fresh, the cheese wasn't noticeable. Had a fantastic experience at the Coffee Shoppe on 30A in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. The espresso here is top-notch - enjoyed it every day of my vacation, and was consistently excellent. According to the rest of the family, the cappuccinos and oat milk lattes were spot on. They have a selection of pastery items from a local baker and breakfast sandwiches, too. The shop is nicely decorated with plenty of comfortable seating and is very clean. The service was great, and the barista did great with our large orders. I'm blown away how good this coffee is wether cold or hot and how much I miss it now that I'm back home. Having come from San Francisco with plenty of great coffee places this establishment is on par if not better than what I encountered. This place is super cute and brand spanking new. So new it smells amazing and the over all look is great. The problem I have is that if your going to serve coffee serve barista milks not Publix half n half and silk milk from Walmart or Publix. That's for people who make their coffee at home for 1.00. When you spend 15.00 on coffee I expect for the milk to not come from your regular grocery store. I won't be returning for this reason. Hopeful they will update the milks. Maybe the owner just doesn't know? I felt bad for the barista because he knew and kept saying I'm sorry that the dairy alternative isn't going to foam when heated so it's not going to make the cappuccino that good.
