Skip this place. Seriously. Let's start with the good news! The gal that greeted us and seated us was very friendly. On the flip side, the floor was dirty and wait staff were not friendly. I ordered a strawberry waffle and orange juice. The juice arrived first, and was as advertised. Then the waffle arrived. Bad. I was told there's no strawberries. Instead of letting me know ahead of time and allowing me to choose something else, I got a dry waffle and a choice of blueberries or bananas. Ordering something else wasn't even offered as an option. Just suck it up and eat what's in front of you. Our waitress was Olivia. Her idea of checking on us was to breeze by and ask if we were good. As I was going to say something, she said "OK" and moved along before I could say anything. When we were waiting on our check, She was off chatting with the other wait staff. Once we stood up to leave she managed to bring us our check. Have you read their credos? I've attached them. Sounds like a great restaurant! THIS ISN'T IT.

I ordered two soups on DoorDash for my girlfriend horribly sick and the receipt even said two bowls of soups on it they gave me two cups of chili

Came today with my bestie! We had tropical mimosas for our brunch! We got sat immediately. Super friendly waitress. Bestie had two eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy and hashbrowns and it was FIRE! Super huge portions and I had the pot roast melt with red onion and au ju dipping sauce on sour dough! With a side salad that we split because it was huge ! Took half of the Sammy to go! Super recommend, so delicious!

Black Bear Diner is a pleasant surprise. I don't really understand why it has an average aggregated score on Yelp but I feel like it's a little better. One of the few restaurants that were open on Thanksgiving day and it was packed. Breakfast is served all day which is always a favorite. The basic breakfast items are good, not sure about their specials. Dinner entrees come with 2 sides. Prime ribs are not bad, a little over cooked but taste good. Price is affordable. Overall, Black Bear Diner is not exceptional but what it offers is good for a routine dining visit. You don't go here for a special occasion. You could but you may be disappointed.

Had breakfast here today! I ordered the Denver Omelette with potatoes and a sweat cream pancake. Service was quick, waitress was nice and friendly, and we really enjoyed our visit. I personally like my pancakes more airy and fluffy. I felt my pancake was dry and thinner than the average pancake. * They offer a military discount. Bathrooms were clean.

Strawberry French Toast (500 cals.) Strip-Cut Hash Browns (380 cals.)

French toast was missing something not sure what. The bacon was perfect. The eggs tasted kinda watery and the sausage had to much pepper in it. The pancakes tasted like Walmart frozen pancakes The hash brown was the best part.

This was the worst breakfast we've ever had. All meat was raw and only paid because we wanted to leave. We will not be back.

Finally had breakfast here. It was good and service was fine. I'd like to try lunch or dinner so I'll go back for sure.

We were welcomed by the manager and Reima our waitress was very sweet and helpful! We could tell there were a lot of repeat customers. The diners were enjoying their food and the servers seemed happy to be there. They seemed to enjoy talking to their regulars. I got chicken fried chicken and Dan got chicken fried steak. Both were good, but mine was better. That might be because I always prefer chicken fried chicken. The way the Brookside diner prepares chicken fried chicken is outstanding. I got a large piece of chicken that filled my plate. It was also thick. Some diners pound thin pieces of chicken to the point it's so thin that it is overdone in the time it takes to get the breading crisp. Not Brookside. They produce a perfect chicken fried chicken, nice and crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. I noticed a chalk board listing the specials. The day we were there, it was meatloaf. I also noticed some tempting deserts which I plan to get when I don't eat such a large meal. I enjoyed my experience at the Brookside Diner. Looking forward to our next visit.

The food options seemed endless and the menu was quite large and included breakfast to dinner items all day when they are open! I also noted milkshakes and rootbeer floats and the like - plus a display of cakes and pies for sale! I settled on breakfast with banana, strawberry Nutella crepes and scrambled eggs with bacon. The wife did the same. The food was excellent served like an old fashioned diner style setting and I started my breakfast with an appetizer slice of pecan pie. The kids each got a milkshake with hamburger for one and Mac n' cheese for the other. The server was friendly and helpful and her name was Rachel. She did a great job and we enjoyed dining with her as our server!

Kept our coffee full. My partner had the Philly steak skillet and it was definitely a lot of food. He brought half of it home but he loved it. I had the cinnamon roll French toast and I'm telling you absolutely amazing 10 out of 10 I could've done without the eggs and sausage side. The only negative that we might've had was the bathrooms were just a one stall so if there were somebody in there you had to wait. FYI on the way out the door we seen the display of desserts and had to get a pecan cinnamon roll to go
