On busy weekends, y'all may not have heard about the online checkin on the website or app. I highly recommend using that to avoid waiting in the front and crowding the door.. it's 27 degrees today' and the folks want to pile in the front. Use the website, and they'll text you while you wait in your car/autos. Sure is a good system if you use it. There were a lot of hangry people in here on a Sunday.. I felt a bit embarrassed for them. Other than that. I tried the 8oz NY strip. With the side of vegetables doubled. We had a Ranger order of the Critters menu of chicken tenders and fries.... Which never disappoints. This was one of the most unprofessional dining experiences I've had in a long time. I went to Texas Roadhouse with my boyfriend and family and was denied a cocktail because I only had a photo of my ID. Fine--policies are policies. But what followed had nothing to do with ID verification and was completely unacceptable. Our waitress's behavior for the rest of the night was blatantly disrespectful and inappropriate. She repeatedly brought incorrect items to the table, made patronizing remarks, and treated me in a condescending way--at one point asking me, a grown adult, if I wanted to get on the saddle as if I were a child. It was unnecessary and childish. Even worse, her behavior toward my boyfriend was noticeably different. She went out of her way to give him special attention while neglecting the rest of the table, and her body language crossed into unprofessional territory. It made the WHOLE table uncomfortable. This wasn't just my perception--my entire family noticed it while it was happening and talked about it afterward. When multiple people pick up on the same behavior, it's clearly an issue. I expect a basic level of professionalism when dining out, especially when I'm with my family, and this experience fell far below that standard. Management needs to address this kind of behavior with the waitress who made this experience so awful. Her name was either Julie or Julia, at the location off 71st in Broken Arrow. I've eaten at this location before but never on a Friday night at 6:30. We had a large group of elderly people. All of a sudden, we heard such loud screens that we all jumped out of our seats just because it was somebody's birthday. It is so noisy in there. You can't hear each other across the table to speak. It's so loud. I will never go back there again. I had ordered a ribeye and they brought me a prime rib so I didn't get to eat with my people by the time my steak came. They were already through and I ended up taking it home. The waitress were dark glasses and we don't know why ! I mean, we like to see people's eyes when they wait on us but with her black sunglasses, we couldn't see anything and I don't think she could either because she brought me a prime rib instead of a ribeye. So, after enjoying a theatrical performance downtown, we decided to go to Texas Roadhouse on 71st . We got there about 10:30pm and were greeted and seated immediately. Our waiter seemed to be a bit tired. Not energetic and I don't think he smiled once. Tipped him graciously anyway.. We sat near the bar where there was a guy wearing black shorts and a black tank top using loud graphic language continuously with the female bar tenders whom he seemed to know very well and they seemed to know him well also. Not one of the ladies admonished him to stop using the inappropriate language which went on for 30 minutes at least. I think he was a bit inebriated. No person paying for a meal should have to listen to that sort of nonsense and the ladies working there who obviously knew him should have asked him to refrain from speaking in that way. The guy had no respect for himself or anyone in the restaurant. I must say I was very disappointed. You never know what to expect in today's society. So in broader terms, perhaps choosing a different restaurant and an earlier time to dine would a better option. read more

Texas Roadhouse is an anomaly to me. It's one of those places that annoys the heck out of me in every way, yet they know exactly what it is that gets you to want to come back over and over. If you've been to one Roadhouse, you have been to them all. Starting from when you walk in, it's literally like a cattle farm with all the people massed in the entrance and foyer. Even if you check in on their app (strongly recommended!) you will be called inside to hang with all the other dozens of people that are waiting. It's blown me away because it's a clear safety hazard if something bad were to happen. I can see people getting trampled if a fire were to break out. Yet they keep doing what they do. It's extremely loud and very busy. People go to Roadhouse for their birthdays like kids go to Chuck E. Cheese. Fact is I have NEVER been to TXRH where I have had a meal without hearing a birthday yeehaw at least once. No lie! Once you sit down, service is often very quick and efficient. I cannot recall a time where I have had poor service at a TXRH. Drinks always full. They drop a basket of yeast rolls at your table with this cinnamon butter that is to die for. Menu is full of steak, chicken, and other choices of your preference. I always order the 12oz Ribeye done medium with a potato and salad (or applesauce). If I am really hungry, I'll get an order of cheesy bacon potato boats. I don't drink beer so I cannot make a comment about that. I am rarely disappointed with how my steaks are cooked but you should watch closely if you prefer your steaks on the well-side. The staff is really good about taking care of you when something isn't right (unlike a place like Cracker Barrel), and at the end of the visit I am always satisfied with the quality of food and service though the ambiance drives me nuts! Waitlist online is pretty much useless, you're better off checking in at the restaurant because it said 0-10 min wait online but it was a 30-40 minute wait for us and every time we went to go check to see where we were at, we were always assured that we would be next. This happened twice. Parking is a nightmare too, horrible. Our waiter was nice and served us bread promptly. The bread and whipped butter with cinnamon was probably the best and tastiest thing there. Two stars for these two pros! Rest were cons. I ordered my bone in ribeye steak medium well and it came well done. It was okay. French fries and mashed potatoes were bland and not tasty. Disappointing experience. Went with friends to celebrate a birthday. They tried to seat us all of the way to the back of the restaurant, near the bathrooms. Two of our party ordered rib-eye steaks. Tough and absolutely tasteless. We took most of it home to the dog. One ordered a pork chop and commented it was OK. I ordered the small filet and it was good. The manager stopped by and asked how we liked our dinner. The two rib-eye diners responded that the steaks were not up to par. He seemed a bit sympathetic and suggested the kitchen might have pulled the wrong tray and that they weren't finished marinating. That was it. Friendly service and they always ask if it's your first time or if you are celebrating anything. I tend to over indulge in the complimentary rolls and have leftovers to take home. ROACHES! Went there in a Friday nite w family, we were told 5 mins to be seated. While waiting in front of the meat counter, a roach ran across it! I tried to get the hostess' attention which was just a few feet from me, when she saw it, she said "SO!" She couldn't care less? WTHeck? We should have left but didn't, finally after waiting about 35 mins, i asked the same hostess if we had missed being called/seated? She responded rudely, it was then I realized she bumped us from the list for alerting her to the roach. We left and ate at Longhorn steak house instead which was clean, less noisy, friendly staff and roach free. Ill never eat Texas Roadhouse again and ill be sure to alert friends and family in the future to our experience, the roach and the hostess response will forever be embedded in my memory. I ordered the rib eye steak 12 oz with mushrooms, onions and jalapeños. Comes with 2 sides. I got the baked potato and cup of chili. Steak was tender and very juicy. Potato was ok.
