The second you walk in you are greeted with a very friendly " welcome- sit wherever you like!" I ordered the country skillet. It was flavorful. The portion size was smaller than I anticipated. It was a little dish - as well as the pancakes were mini sized too. Mini little child size, like two bites and they are gone. I was disappointed in them. This is a breakfast and lunch place. Our service for four adults and two children was very good. The food was satisfactory but not outstanding. Think of the menu at IHOP or Denny's and you have a pretty good idea of what Jimmy's provides though there were fewer options. One menu surprise for a breakfast place: no oatmeal. Another surprise was an adult meal that included two eggs. The egg portion was noticeably smaller than a child's meal with one egg. We didn't think to ask whether the orders had been mixed, but that seems the most likely scenario. read more

The atmosphere in jimmy's egg was comfortable and relaxing. It's like almost everyone wore their hoodies and comfy clothes while eating breakfast at their own table. Our waitress was really nice and the food was very delicious. The coffee was very sweet, but also good! I tried their cinnamon fall iced coffee and ate their queso burrito. We stopped by this restaurant for the first time. Let me tell you we sat down, ordered our food less than 10 minutes we had our breakfast. The waiter kept coming back to the table to check on us. I've eaten at other Jimmy's Egg restaurants and found the food acceptable, at least. This one was nearly empty at 7:30 am which should have been a warning! I got the Over 55 2 egg omelet with ham and mushrooms which was good, although a little dry from overcooking. One side came with it from a large number of choices. I got grits, which I love and usually order for breakfast if available, but should have ordered anything else! I have never ever been served grit soup until today! The small bowl was filled with about half grits and half luke warm water! Inedible! The coffee was fine so not a total loss! I'll never go there again read more

They literally do not know how to cook food. Been there half a dozen times because I'm with other people. No more. Hash browns are both over and under cooked. Indicating they rush them through at too high heat. Sausage is never adequately crisp or "done" on the outside which is disappointing, but even when you ask for crispy, it's just jank. The eggs are basic and fine, pancakes are fine but a little tough, and certainly not fluffy. Just not worth it when so many other places do this basic stuff much, much better. Go literally anywhere else if you want properly prepared food. read more

Pancakes were hash browns were trash so hard on the outside AND inside I spit them out. Cinnamon roll, garage was stale I tried to eat it but at the last bit I just spit it out. I am at Jimmy's Egg at least once each week. The food is usually perfect, and if it's not, they are quick to offer a do-over. The menu includes basic breakfast and lunch entrees, many of which would kill me if I ate them every day, but there are a large quantity of sensible, highly nutritious entrees and sides. The two stars are really for the wait staff. The food is probably one star. I ordered scrambled eggs, but I got chopped up overcooked eggs. Looks like they pour them out on flat top, overcook them, then chop them up with the side of spatula. The turkey sausage was all but inedible, again overcooked and rubbery. My brother's plate had huge chip in it with sharp edges. He told them about it, their response was that a lot of the plates have chips! They did supposedly remake his omelette, but again rubber eggs. For a restaurant with egg in its name, you would expect them to be able to cook eggs! read more

First the Good EXCELLENT biscuits and gravy. OK that's were it ends. Both the wife and I had 2 different omelets both were dry and tasteless and I mean no flavor at all. Mine was actually pretty cold by the time we got our order. Took 32 minutes to get our order after we had been seated. This restaurant had only been open for 2 weeks but this is still no excuse for the food quality. read more

We went in at 8:30 on a Saturday and we were promptly greeted by Ashley at our table. She made us feel welcome and our kids felt extra special with whipped cream on their hot chocolate! I've tried to give Jimmy's Egg a chance about every 6 months but it gets worse and worse each time - as soon as my family and I got home from eating there today, 2 family members immediately were sick to stomach and the 3 child threw up about 20 mins later -- my 8 year old son had a piece of metal wire cooked into one of his pancakes also today - the gravy is like room temperature slime , bacon tasted like it 3 day old reheated microwave bacon- servers were nice tho! Stopped in this morning for the first time. DAVID provided excellent service and was extremely pleasant. Food was quick and the quality was better than expected.
