Two eggs over easy, bacon, home fries and biscuit and gravy.
    Jeri T.

Found this diner while looking for something other than the two Amish places. The service was quite quick. I got two eggs, over easy with bacon, home fries and biscuit with gravy. The food came out fast and was great. The server checked on me regularly and was kind. Marking this down for my next trip to Chouteau.

Friendly staff and wasn't rude which we appreciate! I asked if the biscuits are homemade , which they are and very good! My spouse and I ordered omelettes (veggie and western) and both are really good . We will be back.

We've stopped here a few times over the years, not sure why I've not reviewed them- anyway. This is a very cute restaurant just off the highway, gravel parking but plenty of room to park. When you first go in, be ready, this is a small town and a local favorite. You WILL be stared at, a lot. I like to walk in, let them all look me over, then find a place to sit (it's a seat yourself place). Over the years we've tried many of their items and have yet to be disappointed. Their meatloaf is amazing!!! I recently tried the hot hamburger and instead of fries I had country potatoes. I think that's what they called them, I call them fried potatoes. I really liked the smaller potatoes on it, made it easier to eat. My husband orders eggs often and has not had a issue with them being burned or dried. Definitely a great place to stop for a home cooked meal that won't upset your stomach- very important if you're traveling through, or break the bank!

The breakfast was good but the onions were amazing! Good service and breakfast all day long!

If you have watched Parks and Recreation and have been in search of a Leslie Knope / JJ's Diner style waffles, THIS IS THE PLACE!!!! It's amazing and cheap and delicious! I have came two days in a row now. Day 1 - Belgian Waffle with strawberries and whipped cream, super good. Day 2 - Belgian again but with Blueberries and whipped cream. Day 1, I scarfed that delicious goodness down before thinking to take a picture but I managed to take a photo for you today. This is definitely the place to get breakfast and will be me new go to every chance I get!!!!

The restaurant is clean and well decorated with Early America decor. The atmosphere was busy and the noise level above average. My husband and nephew ordered chicken fried steak. The steak was large and fried to a golden brown. Dan shared with me and still had some left. It cost about $5 more than what we pay for chicken fried steak at diners in Tulsa, but in fairness, the taste of the steak was a little better than what we are used to. The mashed potatoes were made from fresh potatoes, and they were delicious! I chose fried shrimp, French fries, and Cole slaw. I got a huge plate of home made fries which were delicious. I shared with others and still took some home. I didn't like the shrimp and sent the slaw back. The shrimp were not fried crisp and just a little doughy. I got one slice of lemon but couldn't have used more because the shrimp sauce was too thick for dipping. I tried putting some on the shrimp with a fork but didn't like it. The slaw had too much sauce which made the cabbage soft. I asked if I could exchange it for steamed vegetables. They took my slaw but didn't bring the vegetables. Our nephew got a loaded baked potato with his meal and it looked tempting. My sister in law got a rib eye sandwich which came with potato chips. They served it without any sauce, but brought sauce when she requested it. I overheard her tell her husband it was overcooked. The servers were friendly. I'd say we got good service, but two very large groups ordered right before us causing the kitchen to be backed up. We had to wait a considerable amount of time for our food. That gave us more time to visit with our nephew whom we hadn't seen for a long time. I wish we had not forgotten to take pictures of the food since most reviews are a few years old and a lot changes in that amount of time.

The best breakfast in Chelsea and for miles around in any direction…read more I really like this old-fashioned diner/cafe. Small cozy comfortable old building, the walls lined with historical photos and advertising. Welcoming friendly staff keep your coffee cup full and the big menu selection covers all three daily meals. Daily Specials are hand written on the white board by the counter. Grab a table by the window, relax and watch authentic rural Oklahoma life pass by on the street. Or select one of the limited stools at the counter, ponder about the weather for the day with the locals; or visit with the staff and watch Granny make delicious homemade meringue pies. As I was paying the bill, Granny walked by with a chocolate meringue headed to the pie safe (display case). It was stacked high with light fluffy whipped egg whites and then baked just long enough to give it that perfect pie suntan. The young lady at the register said the restaurant had been in business for over 30 years. It is an icon in the community. My wife and I both had the 2-egg breakfast, with bacon (came with four strips of thick smokey bacon), hash browns, and a biscuit with gravy. All cooked country diner perfect. Great service. This is where you eat breakfast on 66. It may be the best for other diner style meals too. I have reliable sources that have rated the burgers here as excellent. Check out the old brick paved street on Pine St. on the N.W. side of the restaurant as you walk back to your car. Across the street viewable from our table, there is a controversial sign on the building stating that Chelsea was the location of the first oil well in Oklahoma. There are three or four other sites in Oklahoma that claim the same, as the first. An unsettled Oklahoma controversy. Quiet, friendly little town, a relaxing diner with excellent food.

I needed a place to stay and i only got to stay one night in a hotel because they sold the room form under me to a company. I had no were to go and i was really hurting. I didnt know anyone around and needed something to eat and coffee to calm my nerves. I felt like a huge failure with everything around me going on. Yah i could have gone anywhere to grab something to eat but i wanted something that made me feel at home. I came into the dinner mad and scared feeling like a straight failure. I order a omelet and coffee. when i walked in it was like walking into home felt like i was suppose to be there. small town and good people. My heart began to be calm. Alyssa " mom" or " big Sister" you can definitely tell she calls the shots. She runs the roost. she was so calm and talking to me. i told her why i was there and the reasons why i am driving to OK. she just listened and gave me advice and made me laugh. she really reminded me of my sister that passed away. Alyssa being so down to earth and funny made me want to come back each time. So as i slept in my jeep from the 4-10th at Ross park had no were else to go i went there to Boomarang dinner "my dinner". Yes it started as a place to eat but it turned into a place of calmness and happiness. i got to know everyone of the staff and there amazing i kept going back to eat there. I love the food and the ambiance. chicken fried stake and black coffee. the staff dose tremendous great work and if i could make the wages different i would at least pay them $19.00 hr. i looked up the minimum wage in Tahlequah, Ok $7.10hr that is absurd. these wonderful people do way more then just help run a dinner. they are family, therapist, counselors, jokesters and good quality people. The staff works hard to keep the place running in tip top shape. I was there when the small front fridge broke and NO on sat in the fridge the door just fell off because of all the usage. No staff broke the door. Please who ever is reading this and own this great establishment let the staff sit down and rest there feet for a momnet i see them up and running around all the time. let them have a moment and be a human being and have a cup of coffee in the dinner. these wonderful people are not robots. they are people to. I love the staff. As i look up minimum at $7.10hr + tips need to do better then that. People can not survive on minimum wage like that there are families to support and that is one way to loose staff. when the staff cant afford to feed there families and start to feel the financial burden they will think about finding another job to support there family. seeing that the minimum wage is THAT LOW and knowing that it can be increased to help the staff in there future to do whatever the dream career is at least increase it to 16.00 + tips as a start. Your staff is awesome and they are worth it. All in a nut shell i wish i could make a movie or a sitcom about this place and call it " Big Hair" because as i think of this dinner it would be a epic movie or sitcom. I am coming back to eat there everytime. As i sit here writing this review in maryland i want to just drive back to " Boomarang dinner" to eat there again. To the staff you guys made this whole experience the best trip ever and I will never forget you guys. Small town dinner with the greatest people you can ever meet.
