First hole: temptation to aim down the right side and draw into an easy approach lands many of us in bunkers or OB.

Always enjoyable for its challenge and fascinating layout, recent improvements showcase management commitment to a quality golf course I play all of the Orlando area courses, and the combination of golfing experience with practice facilities, Top Tracer, restaurant, speed of play and fully equipped pro shop simply is not available elsewhere at this price point.

Played 18 holes and golf with lunch/19th hole afterwards. The course was in good shape and lunch was reasonably priced

Golf carts don't even last 18 holes and they know this when you pay for them. Mine died on hole 14.

Friendly staff! Course was in great shape. Small greens but generous fairways. Price was reasonable for winter golf.

The course is in great shape especially the fairways. Pricey at the weekends, $60 is expensive compared to other similar courses.

Great course!!! Absolutely gorgeous. Lots of wildlife and challenges throughout…read more Saw a cute little fox along the road as we entered, many birds and some big gators. Check in was easy. The shop is small and had a lot of great items especially the sale rack, but the mediums run like extra large! Nothing was small enough for us. Two rounds plus cart and range balls was $169. Not bad. The drive to the range is a little far- so keep that in mind when you plan your arrival time. We received a gas cart so it was kinda slow and noisy. Our mates had an electric car, so they have both. Our cart also did not have a rake, so we borrowed theirs as needed. Carts do not have GPS or a speaker. Bring your own. We heard there was a gal on the course. We passed her and she never caught up to us. Luckily we bought stuff before we started and refilled at the turn. There are bathrooms along the course, right after the second hole and the same one is after the sixth. There's another one on the backside as well as the club. The bathroom stations are clean, separate men and women and have water. Every hole has water. The course was well maintained. Ranger was around to keep everyone on time. We finished first nine in 1:40. I did not keep track of time on the back 9. I would definitely golf here again. It's a bit far but worth the drive.

The tee boxes are always well kept and the fairways are like hitting of a carpet. The staff in the club house was so nice and helpful. If your within an hour this golf course is well worth the drive. Oh, make sure that you bring PLENTY of balls because there's water on EVERY hole that comes into play if you hit an errant shot. I'll surely be back soon, I hope to see you there.

Can't beat the price! It's a nice course to push the ball around for an hour or so. Greens are…read morejust okay, but the owner/operator was more than willing to make it a good experience. He even came out to one of the middle holes to explain how to play a blind tee shot. It was one of the best shots I've ever made! I live in nearby Scottish Highlands, and I'll be back soon.

Gotta love Wedgwood Golf Course. It might be a short, par 29, nine hole course, but you've got to…read morehit good shots to score well. It's owned and managed by a couple named John & Ellen. They also had a course up in North Dakota. I think they would run one during the winter and the other half of the year they were at the other course. Super nice people and John is a player. Don't play him straight up...you'll need to handicap it and take your strokes, especially if you are playing at Wedgewood. They sold the North Dakota course and are here full time now. No tee times needed, just show up and they will take care of you. You can rent pull carts and they have a few electric carts, but it's really a walking course. They've got a couple of par fours and the rest are par threes. Local rules listed on back of scorecard read: 1. ONE tee shot. NO Mulligans 2. Keep Electric Carts 15 feet from greens and OFF Tee areas. 3. Keep pull carts OFF greens, tees and collars. 4. Repair ball marks on greens and replace divots. 5. NO hitting from lawns. Lawns are out of bounds. Drop ball within 2 club lengths from point where ball crosses out of bounds line. One penalty stroke. 6. Lost ball or unplayable lie in woods: Drop ball within 2 club lengths. One penalty stroke. 7. Observe golf etiquette - if there is an open hole ahead, SPEED UP or allow faster players through! 8. CLEAR greens IMMEDIATELY after putting out. 9. Shirts required! Nine simple rules for this awesome little track. These local rules are very fair. In fact, the actual rules of golf are more penal, so go by these when you play and you should score better. It's a bit of a hike to get to, but it's worth playing. It's close to Black Bear and there are several other courses in the area. I would suggest playing Wedgewood either before or after another round at one of the 18 hole layouts nearby like Red Tail or Eagle Dunes. Avid players will really appreciate this course but I recommend it to all players because it is in good shape and the people are nice. Bring your short game or you'll be grinding like you are at any of the championship courses in town. This game is tough no matter what the yardage or target score!
