This was an interesting little dive. It's in a strip mall with a latino meat market. It was vary home style when you walk in, and we were seated quickly. The place was packed for breakfast and the people looked hungry. So we ordered but the waitress told us all the fresh fruit was gone We were a bit dissapointed, but I just got eggs and toast. It was done right. But the jelly only came in packets. And I the butter was already on my bread. My son had a Belgium waffle, but they must not have many irons because all the waffles our tabled ordered came out at different times. My son got strawberry topping, but it was that gooey stuff from a can. Eh. Oh well, I would probably not return here. I like a few more choices in breakfast. They did have an extensive menu of choices and clean bathrooms.

Eggs, corned beef hash and hash browns!

I love this little place! I go a few times a week. They offer breakfast and lunch. All comfort foods, Southern foods and all at great prices. Staff is always friendly, helpful and fast.

#2: country fried steak with 2 eggs, and a choice of either a biscuit or toast/ homefries or grits

Probably the best place for breakfast in the area. It is cheap, delicious, and consistent. The service can sometimes be subpar, but the food certainly makes up for it. Besides breakfast they also have a good lunch menu. All in all, you always get your food fast and it is always amazing. I would recommend the country fried steak, it is to die for!! It's a little hole in the wall but definitely worth a second look.

The Southern burger was great, but I tossed off the raw onions as I absolutely hate them, and added the lovely pickled onions from my wife's salad, which gave the perfect amount of flavor and color. Don't you agree? Give me a LIKE if you do !!! The crepe was next level. Delicate crepe, very soft ripe bananas, sauce was not disgustingly sugary, and the vanilla ice cream was smooth and soft, not icy and sweet. Dunno what brand they use, or if they churn the cream fresh in-house, but it made my day.

Driving back to Georgia after a visit to the mouse and wanting to limit our exposure to the I-4…read moretraffic, we drove through the charming town of Mount Dora. There are lots of delightful restaurants there (according to yelpers) but many were located downtown and parking was hard to find so we decided to go to Fifth Avenue Streatery since we had driven by and there was lots of parking. All of which the tables are outside on a charming patio with lots of interesting decor. It was 11:30 so the day was pleasant and sitting outside was fine. Not sure how I would feel about that in August. Our waitress was Haley (guessing at the spelling) and she was bubbly and very attentive. The menu wasn't overwhelming and I always think that's a good sign that most of the food is being prepared fresh and not pulled from a freezer. My mom ordered the fish sandwich with tomato and cucumber salad. After ordering the Italian Haley said they were out of beef until the owner arrived so I went for the day's special which was a seafood basket: two pieces of fried fish, four huge shrimp and clam strips. Clam strips are not my favorite but these were very crisp and tasty. It was served with fries and cold slaw. We both agreed the food was very good. I asked for some cocktail sauce and after a few minutes she came back with saying she had to make some. It was fantastic, very horseradish forward which I loved. I am glad we couldn't locate our first two choices since we got to eat at this funky little place and have the best server in all of Mt. Dora.

Only 4 years old, this spacious, waterfront eatery is THE place to dine...in Eustis of all places! Open for lunch and dinner with seating barside, tableside, and out by the dock (first and second floor). My simple shrimp basket was delicious - I particularly enjoyed the cocktail sauce and the coleslaw. My fries were nice and hot - just how I like my food. And although my food took a few minutes to come out (there was a 9-top order ahead of mine), my lovely server gave me the head's up as soon as I sat down. I appreciated that - tell me what to expect, especially since this was my first visit. My peach and blood orange mojito hit the absolute spot on this hot Summer Sunday! And when I visited the ladies room I was pleased to find it was SPOTLESS. I'm definitely coming back for the steak tips, fried green beans, fried pickles, and salmon. If you're looking for chill summer vibes digging on good food and tasty drinks in a wonderful setting, then Lake Eustis Waterfront Grille is for you...for me...for all of us.

Lovely Easter Brunch on the Patio…read more We came here for Easter brunch and had a really nice experience. I called about 45 minutes before arriving just to see if there was any chance we could get a table. They mentioned they were only taking reservations that day but were kind enough to squeeze us in for 1:30, which worked out perfectly. Raven was our waitress and she was wonderful. Super welcoming, friendly, and attentive the whole time without ever feeling overbearing. My husband and I shared a Caesar salad and the steak and eggs, and of course we had to order mimosas (two each... because brunch ). Everything came out fresh and tasty. One small personal preference, and this might just be me, but I would have liked the Caesar salad lettuce to be chopped a bit smaller instead of the larger pieces. Not a deal breaker at all, just something I noticed. The steak was cooked well. I wouldn't say it was the best steak I've ever had, but it was definitely good. What really stole the show for me was the chimichurri sauce. I could honestly eat that by itself with the potatoes, it was that good. We sat on the patio and were a little worried it might be too hot, but it was nicely shaded and they have fans going, so it was actually very comfortable. The only time we got a little warm was after our second mimosa... but that might be on us Overall, it was a great experience and we'll definitely be back.

On Saturday's, they do a bottle of champagne for $20 and it wasn't the cheapest stuff in town! Our server was amazingly helpful, gave great recommendations and helped make our visit special. Everything is true farm to table so the menu rotates. But the dishes we had were divine. We split the savory crepe that was an egg crepe with mash potatoes, sausage and a sage brown butter sauce. Other item split were the haute pocket and steak flatbread. You can tell a lot of thought is put into the menu items and blending of flavors. We for sure will return!
