If I can file zero stars, I would. In early November, I hired Contractor A to furnish and install a Tesla Powerwall at my home. The work was to be completed before the end of the year. The work was scheduled, and Blackbull Electric was hired as a subcontractor to Contractor A. Blackbull's workers on site seemed great, did the install installation, the site was left, clean and neat, and contractor A called for inspection. The fire department and electrical department came out to inspect, and an essential part of the system, the fire department override 20 foot conduit and wire run, and emergency button was never installed, even though it is on the approved ectrical plans . The mandatory signage was also not provided nor installed. Thus they failed the Building Department inspection, and the electrical inspector said he would just come back and inspect when the work was done correctly . As I was under a terrific time constraint to get everything done in December before I lost the rebate, I asked Christine from Blackbull Electric to schedule her workers to come back immediately. She said they were unavailable and they were scheduled to return almost 2 weeks later. They did come back and install the proper conduits and shut offs. Both inspections were called again and again , and it failed again because the signage was still not correct. Again, it was all on the approved plans . Now were into the second week in January, and contractor A had to purchase his own signage in order to pass inspection. The big issue was in addition to not getting the work completed by the end of December, I lost three weeks of my solar production due to this problem, but still had to pay my solar bill. Even though Black Bull's workers were working at my house, Christine insisted that I only communicate with the contractor A On December 4 Christine agreed additional fee of $250 to fill out and submit the SGIP rebate information to Southern California Edison for me. I found out in the middle of February I left messages for Christine, but she never called me back. When I checked on this with SCE , she never did file the agreed-upon paperwork. The rebate was to pay me back over $8000. It was too late by that time for me to fill this out. I have no choice, but seek legal representation. I am extremely upset with Blackbull Electric. I am very unhappy. Sorry this is so long. read more

I wish I could give a zero start rating. This is the absolute worse business. First they charged me $250 to come look at the switch for my fireplace that was not working. Then, we I tired to call them to schedule the service it was impossible to get a hold of them. The phone number for the company just rings and goes to voice mail. I left a message. Finally, someone answered and scheduled an electrican to come out to my property on June 4. The electrican never showed. Again, I called the company and left a voice message. The day of meeting I waited for a few hours and never received a call, I texted her and she said the electrician was stuck in traffic, she asked if she could give me a quote off of google maps...I replied sure. Asked black bull to come install a ceiling fan and provide an estimate of some other projects. We settled for the price for the fan installation. Owner set up appointment about a week later. I made it clear I had 12ft ceilings. Electrician comes to my house in the middle of the day after I made the time in the middle of business calls, shifting furniture around to accommodate. He then tells me oh, I don't have a ladder to reach the ceiling. We will have to come back again. As you can imagine my surprise. I asked for a reschedule the soonest availability. Then electrician walks around inspects other projects I was interested in . Spends a good 30 - 40 mins discussing potential projects, where I showed him pictures of products and he gave me a consultation of how he would install it. Rather than receive my quote and fan reschedule.The owner reaches out to me this morning requesting for further information. Still, no rescheduling of the ceiling fan installation that they missed. When I said, I need you to complete the fan installation first, she said I need to do the quote for the other items first and essentially bait and switch cancelled the project. After having such a good experience with these guys in the past, I'm surprised how terrible my second experience with this company has been. They were over two hours late without giving me a heads up -- I had to check in with them about why no one ever came after they missed their appointment window. When they did arrive, the foreman of the crew called himself a Lyft and left after about twenty minutes. He did not come back to supervise his guys actually doing the job. The guys then broke my sink to an unusable extent and are telling me they couldn't have done it because they have a picture of the crack (which they took after they broke it - their pic is timestamped forty minutes after they started work.) I have a 16 year old solar inverter that failed. I had trouble locating electricians or solar companies that either knew how to fix it or had any availability. One company wanted to sell me a rebuilt inverter for $1500. I contacted Black Bull and they sent out their tech Nick who was able to diagnose the problem. We looked up an online manual for how to reset the inverter and got everything working in about an hour. Nick was very competent and explained a lot of things to me about how the electric circuit works. Job well done. And it only cost me $150 instead of $1500 plus labor. read more
