Needed to get a pedi so I decided to go to this nail salon that I've never been to and upon walking in I was just stared at.. I said hello and started to look at the colors they had and after 2+ minutes someone said "hello how can I help you" I said I wanted a pedi and I may consider a mani. I was asked if I had an app and when I replied "no" another woman immediately said "if you do not have an appointment you can only get a pedi" I said ok to me you're losing money I could careless! I chose a color then went to the last station. Now they do have spa pedicures but I wasn't given an option I mean they weren't trying to make me feel welcomed at all! I got a basic pedicure I could have gotten a little spa package.. The packages were on a sheet but it was never presented to me. There's a bench for seating and the bowls for your feet are similar to a sink they have no jets so don't expect a massage just water in a bowl. Now the vibe of this place was just off for me almost as if they didn't want me to be there. The lady that did my feet did a good job she was nice... I actually asked for another coat of polish and she did it with no hesitation. Although I liked the job the lady did for me I don't see myself returning. read more

Nails were poorly shaped, almost cut my skin during nail cut, and the manicure was the bare minimum. Decent paint job and efficient on time. If you need a quick and basic mani/pedi this will do but I was underwhelmed. read more

Let me start by saying Sylvia is an amazing lady and nail tech. I made an appointment for 10am right as the shoppe opened and Sylvia started my nails right away. I requested a simple gel manicure and already had gel on my nails so I needed a soak off. She was meticulous and patient with my nails. She was never rough when removing the old gel and took her time creating an impeccably smooth base for the fresh gel. Aside from Sylvia the shoppe was incredibly clean with beautiful decorations and personality. They have a countless amount of colors and nail art to choose from. She used fresh utensils on my nails which she removed from a paper packet (a signal for a clean salon) and even had a hot towel to wipe my hands with. Back to the manicure Sylvia did my cuticles better than I'd ever seen in my life! The service probably lasted for over an hour but my nails look great so I'm happy. I'll definitely be back and I'd recommend to anyone I know. read more

Wanted to try this place out its on Meacham right off Dutch Broadway street parking availiable also on side blocks just read the signs.. i called ahead to see if i needed an appointment or i could walk in. They werent busy so i was able to walk in Prior to that i forgot to ask how much a pedicure was... i arrived was greeted warmly but didnt see any signs for prices or services offered other than what is listed on their yelp page. There wasnt any music playing. Only after a little while did one of the ladies put the tv on... Very cutely decorated only 3 pedicure stations. Lots of black cat notifs around So you sit up on a high raised area. With some cute pillows its comfy. They use sterile items from autoclav bags disposable foot buffer But No massage chair here while you get a pedicure There was a nice massage provided during the pedicure. The lady took her time. Was happy with pedicure but i am very used to getting pedicures with massage chair and that little back rub after. If you're not into that this place is for you I kind of missed it but will keep this place in mind The pedicure was only $15 so price was good I would give this place a 3.5 read more

I decided to give this nail spot a try after seeing the great reviews. I really wanted to love this spot because its close to my house as opposed to my usual nail spot by my campus. Sadly it was a huge miss for me. I didn't end up liking the gel color I chose but it would've been okay if the work was neat. I seriously hate this nail salon. Don't get me wrong they do nails well, but it depends on what you get. I've been getting my nails done there for almost a year now. Obviously I take breaks in between getting acrylics, but my nails are falling off now, my actual nails are thin, damaged, and easily breaking off, which isn't normal. The shop uses super glue to put tips on your nails, and the tips they're putting on your nails are from shein, people pay them lots of money, why can they use that money to get good resources for the customers??. I went to a completely different nail salon, and they said to me that the acrylics that black cat nails were using were old and cheap, and you can tell because it's thicker than the usual acrylic you're supposed to use now. There's only one girl that's professional and the rest don't know what they're doing. And even worse the only girl that's professionally trained is sassy and rude. She was talking about how my nails are disgusting RIGHT in front of me. I can't believe i've been paying her this money for so long. read more

After i picked my color, another customer walked in and got taken straight to the chair and got her service. The worst part was nothing was said to me. I eyed Black Cat Nails when searching for a nail salon close to my fiancé's house. Reviews are impactful and the reviews here were decent enough for me to make an appointment. I made an appointment on a Saturday at 10am when they are supposed to be open but the salon was closed. Myself along with several other customers with 10 o clock appointments waited outside. I gave the salon the benefit of the doubt that something happened. I left at 10:30 and they still were not open. I never received a follow up call to reschedule or a courtesy call. I'm giving only two stars due to the ease of making a phone call to schedule an appointment and ample parking around the area. I may give this place a second chance, hoping it was not as distasteful like this first time experience. read more

For my first very Yelp review so late at night, it absolutely had to be for Black Cat Nails. For years my wife refused nail service after a bad accident that left her in the hospital a couple years back, never wanting anyone to touch her hands that she deemed too ugly. On our way home we saw this breathtaking cute hideout, I had a good feeling about it from the get go. My wife was initially against the idea, but the minute she walked in, the ambient couldn't have been warmer. The owner and workers are complete angels, and she had only a small wait before she was attended (they were quite busy). She reluctantly got on the pedicure seat, but never have I seen her so relaxed (so much so I ended up getting one too!). She loved her pedicure, but the manicure was the biggest deal of them all. She got acrylics that were done PHENOMENALLY. She got a design that Sylvia was able to do to perfection, it is fair to say: that woman could do wonders on nails. My wife was blown away herself (not expecting her to get the design so right), and it is safe to say that she couldn't have been happier with the result, she nearly cried tears of joy at home. If you are in the area, I would not pass up the opportunity to go through this place. You can tell the ladies work their hardest. read more

there was only one lady who does acrylics but that's not the problem. I requested and appointment 2 days prior. I came in showing my already previous gel acrylic set. Same lady who only does acrylics rolled her eyes and gave the biggest attitude... again not the problem. I finished my pedicure and went to do my regular gel acrylic set. As soon as I showed my nails She has a attitude and went "you were supposed to soak these, now that's going to take 30 minutes" .. I showed her as I walked, maybe if she didn't roll her eyes she would've known to soak my nails as I was getting a pedicure. Yet again NOT THE PROBLEM. So I go and tell her, well I'm here I have an appointment and I need them done I have work soon. She agrees to just do a gel coat on top (mind you I had a neon orange set, and was in need of a filling) I was very specific in the beginning, I wanted my nails SHARP, and NO ORANGE to peak through because I'm now doing a NEON YELLOW/GREEN NAIL SET. long story short when she was "finished" I told her this isn't what I asked for and to fix it... she goes "nothing I can do, I have another nail appointment" I'm NOT going to walk around with FAT CHUNKY BUMPY ACRYLICS.... her resolution was to remove them which took longer then if she just gave me a new set from the start which I asked but she wanted to go the lazy route and clearly that didn't work out. To add on, the pedicure lady was the sweetest, only downfall was my pedicure LITERALLYYYY chipped the next day... had to go to a new salon the next day, and had to show up to work late because of this. Nice scenery but DONT GO FOR ACRYLICS or PEDICURES!!! read more

COVID negligence! This low rating is a warning to anyone who believes masks and social distancing must be observed in a small indoor location. The staff is lovely and the mani/pedi was fine. However, my nail technician wore her mask below her nose, and when I gently and respectfully asked her to put it on properly, she either didnt understand or chose not to comply. The other employees wore masks, but the manager said nothing about this employee or the customer who dropped her mask for a long phone call or the customers who sat massless while eating near the front desk. I will not be returning here until COVID is no longer a threat. read more

My nails have never looked so clean and beautiful. I got an amazing pedicure as well by another woman whose name I was not sure of but she also took her time and it came out great.
