At my first visit we also discussed treating my melasma--an incredibly difficult-to-treat skin discoloration usually due to hormones. She explained different ways it can be treated, but just how persistent and frustrating it can be even with treatment. With all this in mind, I chose to do the treatment she recommended and loved my results! Some of the hyperpigmentation has come back, because hormones and the sun exist--even with my use of hats and sunscreen, but that's just the nature of melasma. The treatment we did worked wonderfully! I plan on doing further work with her in the fall when the sun has lessened some of it's summer intensity and it will be easier to get a handle on things. The laser sessions can get a little uncomfortable at times, even with the numbing cream, but before and after the laser treatments, you receive services identical to a full facial, so it's very relaxing otherwise. Their laser machines are from Korea, specifically engineered for Asian skin (thinner skin, prone to scarring, more issues with hyperpigmentation and moisture loss), so we choose to go here instead of med spas with Western equipment.
