We called Arace, they answered the phone and we arranged a very short notice trip to the airport. They sent this clean SUV, the driver was very nice and they even provided us with a car seat for our little one. We can not speak for anyone else, but we were treated very well. We usually do not write reviews but felt in this situation we should give these guys a fair shake. Most angry customers write bad reviews, happy customers often don't bother to write reviews, so we had to step up and do so here.

The driver (James) was there 15 minutes early, had the car warm and cozy for our trip even had a carafe of hot coffee waiting for us. I can't begin to thank Bill enough for helping my wife and I out on such short notice, because of him we made our flight on time.

However, if she took the time to read the other reviews which were along a similar vein to what I wrote. Further most Julie "complimented" my review and reported it to yelp to be removed. Her compliment read as follows and I quote: "Just J. left a compliment for your review of Grab a Cab 'I am sorry for the confusion, however, NONE of my drivers recognize you nor have heard a complaint, further more our drivers are equipped with in car credit card runners, i am not sure who you mean to review but im pretty sure it wasn't us! Please call our office and ask for Julie, I would be more than happy to resolve this issue for you if in fact it is us!'" To add insult to injury she then left a 5 start review in her own company's page. Finally for clarification: 1. the cab that picked me up both times was a white car with "Grab A Cab" painted in yellow in the side 2. Like I said in my review I had to pay OVER THE PHONE both times I unfortunately had to use this company 3. I reviewed multiple cab companies that week because I had to suffer through several bad experiences for my business trip and people from out of town need to know what they are going to experience.

We expected professionalism, compassion, and respect during an extremely difficult time. Unfortunately, our experience was the opposite. While family members and children were inside the funeral home saying their final goodbyes to their deceased mother, the owner and driver entered the funeral home to confront the daughter about rules regarding food and car seats. These rules had already been communicated to us, and we had already agreed to follow them. The timing and approach were extremely inappropriate given the circumstances. After leaving the funeral home, the owner again confronted our family about the same rules. We calmly explained that we understood the expectations and were willing to comply, but asked for some empathy given that we were walking out of a funeral and preparing to go to the church. Instead of de-escalating, the situation continued to escalate. As we were loading car seats, the owner physically pushed a four-year-old child out of the way in order to get to her vehicle door and close it, despite the car seats already having been removed. Multiple members of our group attempted to calm the situation so we could simply proceed to the church, but she continued escalating the interaction. The owner then called the police and claimed she had been assaulted. Officers arrived, assessed the situation, and determined that her allegations were unfounded. Because of this incident, the transportation service we had arranged and prepaid for was not provided. Our family was forced to drive our own vehicles behind the hearse to the church and cemetery. Many people were unprepared for this sudden change, had limited fuel, and were left scrambling during an already emotional day. During the incident, the owner stated that she had undergone brain surgery approximately three weeks earlier and suggested this contributed to her behavior. We cannot comment on her medical condition, but this statement, combined with what occurred, was concerning. Additionally, during a very short drive to retrieve the children's car seats, we personally witnessed the driver drive directly into oncoming traffic, creating a near-collision where another vehicle almost struck the van. This was alarming and raised serious concerns about safety. After the incident, the company posted photos of our family on Facebook along with additional claims about what occurred. The posts included photos of crumbs left behind from children's car seats, which were presented as an issue. Considering the passengers included toddlers and the transportation service was never completed, we found these posts to be unnecessary and unprofessional, especially involving a grieving family. We paid for this service in advance and have not received a refund despite not receiving the transportation we paid for. We understand businesses have rules and expectations, and our family was willing to follow them. The issue was not the rules themselves, but the lack of professionalism, compassion, and appropriate communication during a funeral. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this service.

The first wow! was how quickly we received a response. We requested a quote and received a detailed reply within the hour. We appreciated the follow-up confirmation of our reservation 24 hours before our trip began via both email and text. The next wow! was when we met our driver at JFK. We were able to track the location of the car via app and knew exactly where the driver was at all times. The vehicle was a shiny black Cadillac XT6 and the driver was dressed in a dark suit (and wore white gloves! I can't think of many car service drivers that present at that level in this day and age outside of the major urban areas). High touch services continued during our ride. You want wifi? You got it. Would you prefer still or sparkling water? A fragrance-free environment. It felt like a mini spa treatment in a car as our driver calmly and competently slogged (if that's possible) through a nasty accident-induced traffic jam AND a torrential storm that flooded the highway while we dozed off and caught up on emails. The fare is all-inclusive of tolls, gratuity, number of bags, etc. No worries about nickel-and-dime surcharges. TLDR: An exceptional package of comprehensive transportation services, flawlessly delivered with bells and whistles.
