Pastries at counter

Oh my gosh this place is so cute! It's in this beautiful old building and the coffee shop has a wide entranceway with seating and then two big windows looking out with seating on either side. It's really lovely. They have a really nice drink menu, but also have sandwiches, bagels, pastries, etc. I was just passing through so I got a matcha latte with oat milk to go and it was great! A little sweet, but very frothy, which is my favorite, and hot but drinkable. The girl at the counter was lovely and my drink came out quickly. Can't wait to come back here and have a work day with my laptop.

Delicious coffee and such a cute space! Absolutely love the amount of natural sunlight this place gets. Perfect spot to study or read. I got a single shot espresso extra hot, and it was perfect. Even with the single shot, I was still able to taste the espresso very clearly. And they nailed it with the heat! Would definitely come back next time I'm in the area!

Finally a fully functioning workspace and coffee shop in the deep Eastern part of Nashville. Black Press is located inside of the Public Square co-working space and has all the caffeinated needs of a remote worker. Cold press coffee, cortados, lattes, americanos, and the list goes on. The snack offerings here are small, so don't think you'll be getting a full breakfast. They do have cookies, muffins, oatmeal and on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays; Five Daughters bakery loads them up with all sorts of 100-layers donuts! Pro-Tip: There's a board room area that's open to the public and a huge basement for a little more privacy.

I've been to black press coffee shop #001 a few times since it is closer to where I live, but decided to check out this location out while I was in the area one day. The public square location is beautiful with lots of indoor seating. I got their Tanzania Mwalyego PB coffee and it was delicious. I've also tried their seasonal "in bloom" latte. I asked for half the sweeter that is normally put in and it was very good. The coffee can be a bit on the pricey side but the quality is definitely there. We plan to check out their third location in the near future.

We often struggle to find great coffee when visiting smaller towns around Nashville but Black Press did not disappoint! Great vibe, friendly staff, and amazing coffee. The space is shared with offices and meeting space (see my photo) but you almost don't even notice as the cafe takes up the first half of the building when you walk in. Plenty of seating (of various types) and a nice quiet vibe. Nothing worse than a super loud coffee shop and this spot was definitely relaxed and laid back with plenty of room and good acoustics. I loved the vintage pieces and the bright open seating areas with huge windows to let the light in. Check it out!

A Saturday morning exploration of old Gallatin led me to this gem of a cafe. What a treat! Impeccable design, spacious and full of wood, vintage pieces, and good vibes. The staff were friendly and attentive, the iced coffee was perfect, and they provided a small water dish for my dog! They serve Five Daughters Bakery donuts too! Black Press Coffee has set the standard for Gallatin cafes.

CUBAN!! The best coffee in Gallatin!

Recently discovered the caffeine goodness of the Cuban coffee at Black Press. Finding it hard to get through the morning without one.

Awesome! Love the open space and tons of natural light. I'm also happy they have Five daughters doughnuts avail! I just love the tons of charm the front of the building has. Coffee was very good and I would definitely come back to try something else.

Atmosphere is pretty but barista is unfriendly. No "hello". No eye contact. No conversation. Need more help! Sunday 3:30 with 1 working.

Had a simple vanilla latte which tasted anything but simple. The foam on top was so good it was almost whipped cream. Definitely going back.

I ordered a house coffee (you can tell a lot about a coffee shop by the quality of their house coffee) It was a good everyday coffee. Something you could drink daily without getting bored of it. I like more unique flavor notes though. Thankfully I got a bag of Brazil single origin and it was very good as a pour over! Definitely recommend a visit if you're a Nashville local or just visiting! They also had really cool merch!

I really appreciate the extensive range of coffee beans they offer, along with the variety of roasts and the way they source their beans from different suppliers across multiple countries. During my visit, I ordered a cappuccino made with a medium roast, while my husband went with a mocha. My cappuccino featured their Sunrise Espresso Blend, which combines beans from Brazil, Guatemala, and Costa Rica. The resulting flavor profile was wonderfully fruity and a little chocolatey (from the Brazil- Blend), with very low acidity, exactly what I prefer. It delivered the precise caffeine hit I was looking for and felt incredibly refreshing. My husband's mocha, however, was a bit of a letdown. It was overwhelmingly mocha-heavy to the point where there was barely any discernible coffee flavor, so it was not a hit for him. The baristas were polite, though the wait time felt a little longer than expected considering the cafe was not very busy at the time. Beyond that, the vibe inside is very chill, there is plenty of seating, and the free parking availability makes visiting super hassle-free.

It's just a nice, clean, attractive coffee house with really nice staff and great coffee. The biscuit I had was okay but small, but I came there for coffee. I ordered a pour over of their Worka Sakaro coffee bean, and I saw them brew it in a ceramic Kalita Wave and bring it to the table. I enjoyed it a lot! Just remember that, when you order something made with a specialty bean, it will usually taste different from just regular old coffee, and that's a good thing. Really, it's delicious! The people working there are very nice and very friendly. They do a great job at making people feel welcome. Parking can be tight in that area, but there is a parking lot next to it with validated parking. It's easier to figure out than some places I've been.

The staff are kind, beautiful humans, the coffee is genuinely phenomenal, and the pastries are dangerously good. Clean shop, clean bathrooms (important), immaculate vibes. I do miss the couches they used to have, but I forgive them because, everything else. I love their cause. I love their coffee. I love everything about this place. I will be back again and again. My coffee machine broke, so I started coming here more. Got a new coffee machine. Still coming here regularly. That's how you know it's real.
