Ate outside on their small patio space for lunch, weather was great on a summer weekday. Ordered the Mee goreng - it was heavier than I expected but decent . Paid for parking in the public garage. Busy during lunch but still had quick service. I also ordered the marry me maybe drink which was decent and their halibut ceviche. Definitely expect asian fusion when trying these dishes.

Such a great Asian fusion restaurant! Bluefin tuna was so fresh and flavourful! Lobster toast was tasty as well with the fish sauce. I definitely liked the appetizers more than the entrees, but the entrees were still tasty. A bit smaller than we were expecting though, after it took quite some time to get them. I also enjoyed my honey soft serve, but can be very sticky with the honey comb. Overall a great restaurant to try out with friendly staff. We were able to be seated right away as two people, but it may take longer with a bigger party it seems. There is also only one bathroom.

This is the best tuna tartare I've ever had! It tasted so fresh and light. The seasoning on it was amazing, and I like how it came with fresh vegetable options instead of your standard crackers or bread. The lobster toast was also really good and I love the fish sauce it came with! For entrees we got the mee goreng and khao soi. The mee goreng was good, however there was a crab shell that almost chipped my tooth... I really liked the khao soi's soup, lamb, and vegetables. For dessert, we got both the honey and strawberry soft serve which is a generous portion and lots of toppings. Service was good, but it did take a bit for the food to come out. No surprise though since they're busy. There is a good amount of seating inside and outside. We got seated right away doing a walk in.

An interesting and unique place. They put a twist on all the dishes you may be familiar with. We got the fried bread for our toddler and ask ti put the seasoning on the side, the bread is very taste with the flavored butter and the spice. Our toddler enjoyed the bread on its own too. They have high chair and a changing table in the bathroom. The lobster tom kha is great, flavorful soup with squared noddles pieces. The pork katsu sandwish is wonderful too, with lots of kimchi. The only dish we didn't enjoy as much is the fried wings, it's too dry and the sauce is not to my like. Felt like putting caramel on the wing, and it's weird to me. Otherwise, I'd give it a 5-star. But overall, still an excellent place to go to, and I'd recommend it for sure.

This. Is. It. Seriously, do not pass go. No notes. If you want to take a journey into tantalizing tastebud adventures you must make it a point to get here. Super funky vibes. There's records being thrown down, cool lighting, nice decor and even super friendly folks. The employees here are beyond nice and welcoming. Like they know what they are doing here and they are offering you an experience that is fun and funky. We started off with two drinks. One was called a salad of some sort (sorry, blacked out) and it was delicious. The other was just as good. Ordered the eggplant app - do not leave without this. Absolutely amazing. For food, we ordered a rice bowl with pork sausage and a noodle bowl (with lobster and clams). Don't remember the names. Both were absolutely fantastic. The flavor profiles are just incredible. The rice bowl had so many things happening. Just terrific. The noodle bowl has a broth that you would drink daily. There wasn't one thing that could have made these dishes any better. Do not leave without dessert. Read that again!!! Get the honey sundae. This is what dreams are made of. You will question reality. No matter how stuffed you think you are, order this. This place is just full of magic and wizardry. Like seriously.

I have to admit that I have always wrote off The Honey Paw. I feel bad admitting this, but there's so many places in Portland and the one time I had been in there before for a cocktail and desert I wasn't impressed. We went in last night with a large group - I started the night a bit skeptical (kind of forcing my mind to be open because people in the group were saying good things)! The restaurant was lively and the staff were friendly, throughout. As the food began to come out, I could feel myself converting into a Honeypaw fan... The starters ordered and shared by the group were all very flavorful. The range of flavors was making me more and more intrigued with every new starter dish. When we got our "entrees", I fully converted!! The rare beef salad was one of the more intriguing dishes I've had in a while and reminded me of one of my favorite dishes from my favorite restaurant. The Khao Soi was also a great choice, the broth carried an amazing flavor through every bite - I want to try other things on the menu but I will have a hard time not ordering this again upon my next trip! My one complaint was that the bar seemed to be two steps behind all night. I really enjoyed my first cocktail (it took forever to get to me but was delicious) and I wanted to try a second one.... Sadly the second one that I ordered never arrived.

Why we waited so long...from the smiling host to a thoughtful server we enjoyed our first visit. The wings were great and we tried one of the spring specials & moo shu pork. Every bite was unquestionably flavorful! The crispy eggplant was delicious, from the crunchy outside to the buttery inside! Pork dish was loaded with layered of flavor and the pancakes were simply the best. We loved our window seat and the music was good but not overwhelming! Adding this to the regular rotation! Our sever was a delight and even added a sample of the Earl Gray ice cream to our dessert order.

3.5 stars but rounding up to 4. Got really lucky to make a last minute reservation for 2, a day in advance. As a local I tend to avoid places that are difficult to get into, but made an exception for an out of town guest. The long and the short of it is, this place has a really incredible, flavorful, unique and creative menu. The space leaves something to be desired. If you're there in late afternoon or early evening, the sun beats in and if you're sitting in the wrong spot, it can be really annoying to sit in full sun. I understand it's a really small space which they're making the most of, but I hope they one day move to a better space because the food is great. The space is either exclusively or almost exclusively, a communal table, a bar, and bar style seats along the window looking out side by side, or outside dining. I wouldn't come here for a date but my husband and I will maybe consider coming for a lunch and hope to have one of the better seats in the house. All of our food was delicious, the seasonal strawberry soft serve was particularly unique and interesting. Maybe take out is the move for me personally from Honey Paw. The staff was also very friendly and kind.

Went to the Honey Paw at the end of March. A unique menu of traditional asian noodle dishes with an american flare. I had a spicy noodle dish with braised beef and cabbage, which I would recommend. For dessert I had their honey soft serve ice cream with a chocolate shell. Worth a try. The restaurant is honey themed, with yellow walls, an aesthetically pleasing space and bar, along with bear references. The bear in search of honey. Would be good for a date night. The waitress was friendly.

Vegans: don't sleep on The Honey Paw! They have an impressive amount of options/are willing to make something for you/their menu is super clearly labeled. The staff (and bartenders!) are exceptional at making recommendations; they're interactive, patient, and accommodating. The menu changes, so heads-up there. I've now tried just about everything that is/can be vegan. Some notes... + Wheat Berry/Winter Salad (depending on the season, it's some variation of greens, grains, roasted fruit and squash, etc): I am usually underwhelmed by salads at restaurants, but this is always fantastic. Refreshing, light, bright, and just the right amount of filling. + Farm Root Vegetables/Beets + Carrots (again depending on the season it's some variation of roasted beets and carrots, lime leaf zhoug, coconut cauliflower puree, cilantro, cashews): genuinely one of my favorite dishes in Portland. It's tremendously satisfying and both the flavors and textures are well balanced; somehow it fits both the hot and cold weather. I crave this. I come back for this. - The Mapo Doufu (jasmine rice, local Heiwa tofu, fermented black bean, spicy Szechuan chili, peanuts): I had avoided this because there were warning labels about how spicy it was on their menu, their website, even their staff would make sure to reiterate how hot it was. Yelp named it one of the top spiciest dishes in the US. They must have changed the recipe recently though, because a) it no longer has any warnings about being spicy, b) it's not really spicy, c) my dish was mostly flavored onions on too much rice (see the pics). I'd skip this now; I'm sorry it's not the old version (and based on other people's pics prior to this year, it looked really good!). - The last time I was here they let me know their slushie machine broke and they had no plans on getting it fixed/getting a new one. Such a bummer; these drinks in every flavor were SO GOOD. However... + The regular cocktails are so good! I don't personally like the communal table (even though they can accommodate groups, the table is so big it's awkward to hand dishes to one another/you won't be able to hear one another). The Honey Paw is best if you can snag a seat at the bar or at the enormous floor to ceiling windows solo or with one other person!

After hearing rave reviews, we were excited to check this local favorite out. We came as a group of 5 for Saturday lunch/brunch. Reservations highly advised! Service was warm, welcoming and attentive from start to finish and incredibly accommodating of part of our party arriving late. We were seated at the end of the large communal table, making for a cozy, family style atmosphere. Every dish was a flavor bomb with beautiful, artistic plating. As a vegetarian, I found ample options and the team went so far as to modify the Nam Khao for me (sub'd tofu). The flavor and textural variety made for an exciting meal full of discovery. The shishitos with the rice puff everything mix might have been the standout of the meal though, if we're not including the highly praised Honey soft serve which is an absolute must. We will definitely be back!

10/10 no doubt! One of the best Asian fusion/thai restaurants I've been to in the northeast! Lindsay was our wonderful server, so friendly, and gave us great recommendations. We were also able to walk in during the happy hour (3-5pm Monday through Friday) and was able to get apps at a reduced price. For food, we ordered: Khao soi, mee goreng, and lobster tom Khao. They were all exploding with flavors! For drinks, I ordered the housemade ginger kombucha with a kick of cayenne pepper. For apps, we did happy hour menu items with fried chicken wings and scallion pancake. The wings were phenomenal, covered a honey butter glaze and fried to perfection. Ambience is fun, friendly, and energetic. It is casual and is great for a group of friends or a date!

My personal favorite is the apple yuzu mocktail. The food was wonderful, pretty minimal food menu but everything on it is really good. DO NOT SKIP the honey soft serve it's a really cute sweet treat to end the night. Street parking outside of location, no parking lot. The service was very friendly from bar staff, we went on a slow day. Bathrooms were cute also. It was pretty expensive honestly for what we got but that's to be expected of kinda trendy fusion spots in this part of town. I would return!

Our goal is to provide a warm and inviting atmosphere in the East End neighborhood, where you can unwind and enjoy our food and drinks with friends, family, or by yourself." Yep, that's the exact vibe (wouldn't compare it to a tavern though; it's much more trendy than that word implies. Also - the music here is distractingly good, so keep an ear out). It was easy to make a reservation online (I *strongly* suggest you do because it's a VERY tiny place; just know, they have a $15 charge per head if you cancel last minute); it's also nice to see more places in Portland that take reservations, y'know? + Our server was INCREDIBLE. He was friendly, unbelievably patient, read cues so well (we were old friends catching up, and he gave us all the space in the world to do so), was funny, and was so well informed about the menu. We had questions about the vegan options, and he had answers/made great recommendations. + The cocktails are really nice; the most photographed one, Lost In Thailand (rum, coconut rum, coconut water, Thai basil, lemongrass, Thai chili), wasn't for me. I'm just not a spicy drink lover, but the Gimlet Highball (gin, lemon, soda) was perfectly refreshing. + I think the menu changes relatively often, so be sure to check their website for the most current options. Things are clearly labeled vegan and/or gluten-free; if you don't mind things being fried together, the Marinated Tofu (fried tofu, radish, edamame, and citrus soy) is a fan favorite we were told. We tried the (vegan) Stir Fried Green Beans (confit garlic, chili sauce, sesame); good for the table to share, but they were much more crunchy/undercooked than I was expecting or would have liked. I wouldn't get them again. But the (vegan) Creamy Chili Noodles?! SUCH A DELICIOUS BOWL OF FOOD. Cucumber, wood ear and shiitake mushrooms, cilantro, peanut sauce, fried red onion, chili crisp. It was hearty, it was flavorful, I think it started off warm but it was one of those dishes that as it cooled... it was just as good (if not better). Absolutely worth coming out of your way for, vegan friends!
