I was told the coffee was off the charts. What I experienced wasn't what I was told. Waited at the counter as 5 employees chatted amongst them each other and one tall guy did all the work. He finally took our order, 1 Iced Latte, 1 Coffee, 1 Dark Chocolate Croissant and 1 Cheese roll. We waited ( now mined you there was no other orders) for the Ice Latte, they never called a name. Went up to find it sitting on the counter. (Boy hope they didn't break their conversation) Now to the Ice Latte, BITTER! Dark Chocolate Croissant, two specks of chocolate, thought there would be a little more. Coffee was ok, I was expecting something a long the lines of a Cafe Du Monde or a Stumptown. Nice location, plenty of seating inside and out

Before driving back to San Francisco, we decided to stop by here to try their award-winning espresso and unique drinks. The interior is large and cozy with industrial vibes. Our order: Latte (Medium - $5.00): +Drinkable temperature: Hot, but doesn't burn your mouth/tongue +Whole milk made for creamy drink. +Cute latte art -Espresso could be stronger. Lovers Lane Latte (Medium - $6.00) +Drinkable temperature: Hot, but doesn't burn your mouth/tongue +Local wildflower honey and bee pollen added floral and fruity notes. +Cute latte art -It became a tad too sweet towards the end: If I ordered this again, I'd request less sweetness. -There was an L written on top of the handle, and the ink rubbed off onto my fingers. To prevent transfer, it might be better if they wrote on the dish instead. Café Borgia (Medium - $6.00) +Drinkable temperature: Hot, but doesn't burn your mouth/tongue +Combination of dark chocolate and orange was balanced and not too sweet +Cute latte art -There was an L written on top of the handle, and the ink rubbed off onto my fingers. To prevent transfer, it might be better if they wrote on the dish instead. Side notes: 1.) Their mugs are HUGE compared to typical coffee shops; A lady ordered a large, and it looked like a bowl. 2.) Free parking lot right outside. *Verdict: I'd love to try more of their menu when I'm in the area again!

This place is so spacious and cozy at the same time. They quickly helped us, I tried an iced mocha, none of the snacks, but looks like the food would be good too!

Wow what a great yelp find, thanks yelpers and mom! We were driving up north and I needed a stop so mom did some yelp sleuthing while I drove and she came across this place. Let me just say a week later and I am still thinking about that jalapeno biscuit I had. It had just the right amount of kick to it and kept me full and satisfied for hours. I also have to get a Golden Milk Latte any time I see it on the menu and this one did not disappoint. It had just the right amount of spice to it. The space was definitely chill and although we weren't getting coffee it was still pretty cool to see the coffee factory through the window of the cafe. I will be back especially to try some of their house made teas next time!

The best coffee and coffee shop. I always recommend this place. Even in different states! I can't believe how lucky our small town is to have such a skilled and delicious coffee roasting company. And to make it even better, they are dedicated to consistency of skilled baristas. My two little kids and I will come here once a week for coffee, steamers, and croissants. They are so welcoming to everyone and feature local art that they rotate through. My favorite drinks are the lavender latte, the lover's lane latte, and seasonally their pumpkin latte with homemade syrup.

If you're in the Mendocino/Redwood Empire area, don't miss this spot. Had the most pleasant latte this morning at Ukiah is a ways up 101 from the Bay, but this shop has the friendliest staff, tastiest pastries, and the drinks were pretty dang good. I ordered the seasonal Coquito Latte, which had a rum coconut syrup and was SO nice. Perfectly cozy. An added plus was the outside patio was heated! Stopped on our road trip home from visiting family in Oregon and might just need to make this my last latte stop of the year and end it on a positive note. Next time I'm up in the Mendo area, I'm definitely going to try and find a way to come back.

We go out of our way any time we are even remotely close to be sure we can stop and enjoy Black Oak. A fantastic mix of coffee drinks - always some fun specials- and a pastry case with good choices all the time. This trip was for a Peanut Butter Mocha and a Rosemary Nutella Mocha. What's great is no particular flavor overwhelms, each is a wonderful accent to a great cup of coffee. I am joining their membership club so I can have two different 12-oz bags of different roasted-on-premises coffee sent to my house

Orange Cardamom Latte (seasonal) in a very nice cocktail style presentation

THE BEST! So glad I stopped here the best coffee on my entire trip! Got the seasonal orange cardamom latte. I'm not a breakfast burrito person, but this was the best I'll ever have got the egg veggie breakfast burrito excellent fresh quality comes w/ a spicy unique salsa , they have high end taffy . And some coffee bags to take home. Need more locations Great place nice staff ,&very clean.

Great place to meet up for a chat. Not a fan of their coffee, but some of the special drinks are good. Lover's lane late, Mayan mocha...

A fine brew in a fine town! I liked the porch here. You can just sit out and watch the world go by in Ukiah. How peaceful.
