Black Oak Lanes is the only bowling alley in the area. It is really nice and well maintained. They did renovations on their bowling alley a year or so ago. They have quite a large facility with around 20 or more lanes. We took my brother here when he was in town visiting. We went on a Saturday afternoon so the pricing per hour was higher than some other days. But still a good price. We bowled 2 games in our hour, spent a total of $52 for the hour & shoe rentals for everyone. We enjoyed the time and we are thinking about making this a regular outing for the family locally. read more

A group of 5 of us bowled for an hour for $35 plus $4 for shoes per person. Shoes are $2 for kids that are 12 years old and under. Everything seems upgraded here which is nice, but the lanes are tight and seem very crowded when you're next to other people. Each lane does have their own table with chairs which is nice. You can order food and drinks from The Charlie and they will bring it to your lane. On the weekends, they charge $35 an hour plus shoes, but during the week it's $7 per person plus shoes. The balls seem to come back faster than most bowling alleys I've been to and the staff seems on top of everything. What a blast! My daughter and her friends had such a great time bowling, eating pizza and hanging out with her friends. I was an ease knowing they were safe and sound. The bowling alley has many different options and choices for graphics, bumpers; lights and so much more! This is not regular bowling folks! They have some really good employees too who were helpful, kind and efficient! They can get busy; but you will never wait in line for too long! They are good in there! This gentleman, who unfortunately I forgot his name, was exceptionally professional and a great representative of Black Oak. I cannot wait to bring the girls back again for another few rounds of bowling. There is plenty of free: safe and well lit parking as well as ADA options for inside and outside compliance. To access the bowling alley, you need to walk through the main casino floor and take the escalator down one floor. The bowling alley is medium size with 24 lanes. It is pretty clean and organized. There is a full bar/restaurant, bathrooms and a pro shop. If you are visiting on a weekend, I HIGHLY recommend booking a reservation. Walk-ins are a lot easier during the week. Although the website showed them to be closed on a Monday's, we were surprised to see they were open. We purchased one lane for two adults and two kids for a total of $26 for two games. That price included shoe rental, so I thought the rate was very reasonable. If you rent bowling shoes, you have to leave one of your personal shoes with the attendant. The houses balls were in really good condition compared to some other places I have visited and the ball return is pretty fast. You can also order/eat food in your lane. The seating area on the lanes are a bit tight. If the bowling alley is full, you can feel crowded and on top of each other. We had a good time here for a reasonable price and we will visit again. read more

I've been here a couple of times, and have never had a bad experience. The place has a good vibe (no thugs hanging out) and the wait is usually short. The equipment (balls, shoes, lanes) is in good condition. There's always spots available in the adjacent parking garage. My only complaint is that the drinks from the nearby restaurant are a little on the expensive side. Will definitely go back though! read more

Had my daughter's birthday here in June and had no issue bringing in pizza. Now today I take my kids here and now bringing in a pizza is against "policy" starting LAST YEAR but of course all the adults bringing in beer is ok. read more

A friend was having a birthday party for her kids here. I wasn't expecting much as the last time we were here (years ago) it felt dingy and the food was horrible. It was worse than gas station pizza and nachos. I actually called to see if we could bring our own food because I didn't want to eat there (which you can't). However, we were really surprised. The place was very clean, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful (above and beyond that of most businesses)...and the food was really good! Not just ok...but great pizza. We had a fun birthday party and I'd highly recommend it. Bravo to the management as it is so much better than it used to be. We will be back. Side Note: Yes, it did have an odor of smoke when we first walked in. Within minutes you didn't notice it anymore. I really want to like this place, my 3 year old daughter likes to go to the arcade & bowling, but the second hand cigarette smoke is overpowering and not at all healthy for the kids or anybody for that matter.... Was really hoping that they would fix this ventilation issue when they did this so-called "renovation" that took all summer.. But we just went back there again and nope... it still reeks of cigarette smoke, It looks like all they did is put new carpet in.. Everything else looks exactly the same... The kids games are not maintained properly and some of them don't work properly or at all, some games you get like 30 seconds of play time for $1.00..... pretty lame, May as well just go throw my money away in the slot machines... The website has very little information on anything.... Also we went to get lunch in the family area but apparently that restaurant doesn't open till 3:00.... Doesn't say that anywhere on the website either..... So pretty much just wasted a 50 minute drive to starve & throw money away on broken video games and suck down some secondhand smoke from a bunch of poor elderly people throwing their life savings & pensions away on slot machines... Very disappointing.. Hopefully this review will help you guys to use this as constructive criticism and you try to make this a better place for our local youth to have fun rather than line your pockets with gambling profits... Made a reservation for 3PM, but with rain and road conditions we arrived 10 minutes late. They gave our lane away. They then said they could get us in at 5PM so we waited two hours and when we didn't hear our name on the loud speaker, we got back in line. Two other families without reservations were given lanes while I waited. When I got to the counter they told our group that they had no more lanes available and the person helping us two hours back had listed our reservation at 6PM. They acknowledged that they just gave away two lanes in front of us, but offered no compensation to make up for this huge error. We left without bowling after we drove from the East Bay to bowl with my great nieces and nephews who live in the foothills. Total disappointment! Total lack of professionalism! Went downhill. We went to bowl and have a few drinks and long story short, there was major harrassment over nothing happening. Ego from a few staff members were ridiculous. The lanes (2 we paid for)were having major problems so we could only have a few turns so we asked for a refund. 2 years ago a friend suggested we try bowling because a league at Black Oak had a couple of spots often. We hadn't bowled in 30 years so we're pretty awful. (But snce you get a handicap, it REALLY doesn't matter.) We absolutely love it! We've made friends with many wonderful people, we get a little exercise, and look forward to every contest. The staff and lanes are a big party of that. After we started, we've bowled at a few other lanes and we've come to appreciate where the term bowling "alley" came from. The others were dark, dingy, and dated. Black Oak is bright, clean, modern and has the best bowling alley restaurant we've come across. In fact, we often go there to eat even when we're not bowling. Last, the staff at the front desk have been so great. Friendly and professional. The best! The best of the best? Jeff the manager, Jeff the pro shop guy, and Chelsea at the counter. read more

We love going bowling with our 4year old here always so much fun. My only complaint is we went today and we were on lane 18 when we paid and got started nobody bothered to tell us the lane was broken and either no one could use bumpers or everyone has to use bumpers and use a 10 pound ball or less.. obviously we were not gonna take the bumpers away from our 4 year old. When I asked if they could move us to a different lane 21 and 24 were open I was told those lanes had bumper issues too. We still had a blast bowling as a family. Just this info is something that should be shared before people start bowling. We will still continue to go and have fun I will probably just double check if our lane is broken before we start lol. read more

I regretfully came here to celebrate my 21st birthday, and the bar tender refused to serve my friend because her ID is slightly bent (weird cause the police have no problem with her ID), so we had to go all the way upstairs to be served, got harassed by multiple security guards because we had our bowling shoes on, who wouldn't let us get back to our game without first taking 10 minutes to report us, MULTIPLE TIMES. Also a couple in our group left our second game early, instead of giving them a refund for the game they didn't bowl, they cancelled the entire second lane so none of us got to play our second game and got ripped off. Ever bowled underground? Okay, it's not that exciting, but as an underage adult at a casino, this is your best bet at having fun. Backstory is that my bf and his family come here every year, and we they have a bunch of kids in the family. Of course, the adult kids were responsible for watching the kids, while the parents were upstairs gambling. I love how dark the bowling alley is and they have fun music to dance to while playing. To top it off, grab some pizza at Kingpin and get going! It's always a good time here with the cousins while we wait for our parents. This is the only bowling alley in the area, but it sure does a nice job of filling that lone spot. I like the option that you can order food and drinks from the places downstairs, so you can really make it dinner and some fun if you'd like. The service is usually pretty fast and they all seem rather friendly. The last time I went there, however, the lane we were on kept stopping and the pins would bounce back out from behind, so the attendant had to keep walking down to the end to sort the situation out. This alley is downstairs in the black oak casino. It has both food and drink available. The lanes are shot is challenging. The back ends are dry so straighter is greater if u have higher revs. The staff of the front desk has always been extremely helpful and friendly. We have bowled there many times while staying in the rv park or just coming up for the day. Prices are $3.50 a game but they do offer senior discount of .50. 2 thumbs up! read more
