A short, downhill par three on hole 13

The course is very nice for the price.. of course not as nice as the high-end courses, but has a reasonable price. Not only is it a good price, but a range token comes included with the round! If your a high handicapper, it will be a very challenging course. I have a handicap index of 19 and managed to shoot a 91. The first three holes are a walk in the park, but after that it gets tough. On hole 4, (even though it's a par 5) I'd recommend laying up and hitting a fairway wood or an iron because of the rock wall in the fairway after the dog leg right. There are lots of uphill and downhill holes with tons of trees on each side of the fairway. Knowing that you might have to lay up on most holes so your ball doesn't go in the trees. Overall it's a fun course to play, and if your ever in the Murphys area, I'd recommend trying this course out!

I didnt golf here but had a great experience. We played bocce ball. The grounds are beautiful. And this was a great upscale place to hangout. Bocce is free and they have 2 pits to play. Check out my pictures for the grounds. Had a great day. Would recommend and return.

Looking at 18 from the clubhouse restaurant Camps.

Very nice layout although quite challenging. Holes number one and number two are nice moderate starting holes, three is an easy no forced carry par three and then you hit number four. The dreaded wall this whole will eat one two or more of your balls if you do not stay left or straight. Anything to the right is gobbled up by lots of out of hazards and out of bounds markers in homes' yards. The rest of the course is a nice mix of open fairways, forced carries and some water. Very friendly staff, quiet electric carts with solar powered USB ports for telephones. Good reduced rates in the late afternoon on weekdays. If you are hungry at the turn you can either call ahead and they will have a sandwich ready or you can order it inside and they will run it out to you on a cart. They also have hotdogs and Polish sausage available for a quick to go meal. It's our sister in-law's home course so we know it well. The dining room at the clubhouse, Camps, is also very good for dinner.

    Christmas Eve menu

I don't know what happened, I was pretty surprised many times with my experience here. First I called and called Christmas Eve around 11 AM, noone ever answered, then I called and left a vm to ask if they were open Christmas Eve and serving dinner. Noone called back so we drove over in the afternoon, about 2:30. The general manager seemed surprised when I told him we had called and reached noone. He made a reservation for us for 4:30. We arrived late for our reservation, but the hostess couldn't find any reservation for us. She said the printout wasn't current. She nicely asked if we wouldn't mind sitting at the bar and then said she would comp 2 drinks for us. OK, I don't drink, but OK, my daughter could drink 2 drinks. Service was OK, I guess for the type of place this is and the prices I expect a little higher end service. Everyone was nice, so that helped the experience. An example of the service was we had a salad before our meal and I thought it would be great to have some bread with it. I asked the bartender and his response is, I think so, I guess he's not sure, maybe that's why they didn't offer any bread. The salad, bread, and my blue cheese dressing was very good. The blue cheese salad dressing was one of the best I've ever had. I asked if the duck with couscous was the small couscous or large, I was told it was probably the small. I don't know why they wouldn't be informed of the menu and if not why they wouldn't offer to check. So I ordered the fish. It ended up the duck was served with large couscous, one of my favorites. Oh well, I like fish. The fish was very dry and but OK, the rice pilaf was just seasoned rice, didn't even appear freshly made. The vegetables were, I can only say horrid for this type of restaurant. They looked and tasted like they had been on a buffet under heat lamps for a full day. See pictures. I thought the dark green vegetable was fennel stems since it was so dark and dried out, as I looked closer to take a picture I could see it was broccolini. I amazed any restaurant would even serve these vegetables! The final issue was as I was sitting there I noticed the balsamic vinegar bottle and I saw something floating on top, as I looked closer I could see there were lots of fruit flies floating in the vinegar I had been eating during my meal, actually all of the bottles of vinegar at the bar had fruit flies. So I asked to talk to the General Manager, he came over and apologized and that was it. He said he wasn't aware that fruit flies are attracted to vinegar. I didn't even finish my dinner, it was so unappetizing. Anyone that knows me wouldn't believe it. I feel bad to write this review, but considering the food and service I had to say something. This place has the pricing and ambiance that gives a certain expectation. It doesn't have to be amazing service or food, but should at least be a decent quality. One of the worst experiences I've had in all of my dining over the years. Very diss

Nice course. Nice bar. A bit pricey but I guess everything costs more these days. Lunch was also good food.

We have seen this place get renovated a couple times now and the management is getting better and better with giving the people what they want. Although I do miss the pool towels being freely available by the pool area, there are plenty of better benefits added to compensate for that. Watching a movie while in the jacuzzi, the fun games around the office, and the cold snacks on some days are a nice touch. The renovated rooms are definitely the best part of coming to this place, the golf course nearby and the deer make it feel peaceful and quiet. We will continue to come to this place couple of times a year as long as it's maintained and keeps on improving.

It was just in me to write a review before leaving today From day one, we found ourselves having to ask for basic items that we normally expect to already be provided. There was no dish soap or hand soap when we arrived. On day two, we had to ask for coffee creamers, and we also had to request laundry detergent and no extra trash bags. It became a recurring theme throughout our stay -- constantly having to ask for things that we felt should have been available from the beginning. There was also a frustrating miscommunication with the sales/marketing team. The presentation was supposed to be for my folks, but there seemed to be a lack of verification regarding the names and who was actually supposed to participate. The sales approach was quite aggressive, and it could have been an embarrassing situation if we had shown up without realizing we didn't qualify. Fortunately, I double-checked with the concierge beforehand and was able to clear things up. The give aways are definitely eye catching but family time and peace of mind is priceless to me and my family. We are one of those that prefers quality time over business time As for the room, flies were definitely an issue. We expected to see some given the location, but there were quite a few around our room. And while eating at the patio, no courtesy to checking on 1st floor residence, there was a guy vacuuming above us with all the mess and leaves and dirt hitting our breakfast foods and us. I had to yell out to stop it. That said, there are definitely positives. The view is amazing. We had deer hanging out practically right on our patio, which was such a cool experience and probably one of the highlights of the stay. The resort also has a lot of amenities -- basketball, movies, pool tables, games, a coffee shop, swimming pools, and plenty for families to do. We were especially looking forward to the kids' pool because our 20-month-old daughter has recently become obsessed with swimming. The pool was warm and heated, which she absolutely loved. So, while there are some great things about WorldMark Angels Camp -- especially the beautiful surroundings, wildlife, and variety of amenities -- the service and the repeated need to request basic supplies really took away from the experience for us. Of all the timeshare locations we've stayed at, this would probably be our least favorite so far. The amenities and scenery are great, but the service and attention to the basics need improvement

A very comfortable and quiet little cottage. Although, the bathroom was huge with a walk-in shower. There are no tvs in the cottages and the WiFi is a little dodgy. Cell phone reception isn't the best either. I think what I am getting at is that you can really disconnect when you say at La Honda Park. You are forced to communicate with your loved ones. The cottages are only equipped with a microwave. If you want to cook something more robust, there is a communal kitchen in the pool house. Believe me, it has everything you need. Also, there are bbqs in just about every common area. Aside from the beautiful grounds and comfortable accommodations, there is the barn. The barn is probably the best part about this place. It has a foosball table, a pool table, poker table, dart board, and a tv. The back doors slide open to a small seating area overlooking Angel Creek. I can't describe it. You just need to experience. The owner are Jenn and Barr. They were so nice. Once we checked in, they left us alone. In fact, they left the property. Besides my family, there was another family staying in the Main House. They were very nice and welcoming. I can't wait to go back and sit next to the creek and drink my morning coffee.

A gaggle of girlfriends rented three cottages here, as three of us were celebrating our 40th/41st birthdays. The perfect "home base" for staging an attack upon Murphys downtown shopping, dining and wine tasting establishments, or as a leap-off point for local hikes and the gorgeous Moaning and Mercer Caverns. Each cottage is appointed with a gas-fueled faux wood-stove fireplace (easy operation via thermostat), fridge, micro, coffee maker, basic silverware/plates/cups, wonderful showers (great for power-washing off the mud and sweat after a day of rappelling and spelunking!) and extremely comfortable queen beds. Each cottage has its own character, giving the feel of the kind of decor a favorite aunt might select for your family's personal mountain cabin. Extremely clean and comfortable! Hang out by the fire, or chill out on your own front porch overlooking the lawn and creek. Or... ...head over to The Barn, a communal recreation room appointed with an air-hockey table, pool table, kitchen area (including a wine fridge!) and big-screen satellite TV/sat radio. The Barn was recently remodeled, using reclaimed barnwood, corrugated metal (for the ceiling sub-roof) and a pretty brilliant wallcovering that looks like warm old plaster, but is actually recycled craft paper and some sort of natural varnish. Cool! Also, a few relics from the region's mining days. There are board games, darts, books and other stuff to keep the individual, family or small group entertained. There's a large swimming pool (unheated in winter) and a small wading pool adjacent to another community kitchen and outdoor picnic area, and the only thing this area lacks is a hot tub. (Hint, hint!) Finally, there's Cosmo, the biggest, sweetest cat you'll ever want to kidnap. He's not allowed in the cabins, but he'll happily keep you company as you read a book on the porch, or wander up to the beautiful waterfalls behind the barn. He'll also keep score if you want to use the bocce court or horseshoe pits! Parking is limited, so don't expect to haul in ATV trailers or your RVs, but that's about the only con to this wonderful little family-run resort!
