I asked for a realistic hieroglyphic tattoo and what I got was horrible job that I have to now get LASERED off. The owner not only seemed disinterested and rushy(even when I booked that date), but asked me to switch artists when I booked for HIM.... I understand I was a few minutes late(traffic as I was coming an hour away and I did notify him in advance), that was the red flag that told me I should've abandoned the appointment but he had already took my deposit(still should've abandoned ship!). I told him to I booked with him and him only. He seemed irritated and rushed through the tattooing(again I apologized for being a few minutes late which I again told him in advance), and so I ignored. However, the finished product was a MESS and disaster as you can see. And even other tattoo artists noted so, two being my go to tattoo artists. This tattoo is a jumbled mess from the line work, women's faces, very lazy shading, etc. I can go on.... Its just a mess and luckily I saved the original image when it was done to show proof. This piece was supposed to be the Tomb of Nebamun but looks more like the tomb of disaster. Nothing looks like the original picture. Heck an apprentice back at my go to tattoo shop laughed and said he could do a better job. In fact many people I show cant believe the amount of money I paid! To add insult to injury the piece was $700! Now some tattoo artists I spoken to are baffled in how this tattoo doesnt match his "impressive" portfolio. Some even saying many of those tattoos in his portfolio aren't his. I don't know what the case maybe but all I know that I got a lazy, rushed and uninspired tattoo that I REFUSE to have permanently on me.... So yea going to try laser removal(ouch!) this year but the pain will be worth the mental pain I suffered. This is a warning.... If you want GOOD tattoos and artists that care avoid this shop....

I did that and several days later, she reached out on the website with her availability. I responded, on the website, that I'd be there on the date and time she offered. Fast forward, I woke up that morning with a bad sciatica attack. But I didn't want to cancel on her with such a short notice so I dragged myself over there. And she was NOT there. Only 2 young techs, the female whom I recognized as her buddy from when I was there the 1st time. The female called the tech who told her that I never confirmed with her so she didn't come in. When I pulled up the confirming post I sent her, the friend told me it wasn't Kayla's fault, it was the managers fault! So, yeah, she wanted to blame the manager. At that point I was in terrible pain and I told the "friend " that I'd never come back to this shop! Next thing I know, Kayla is messaging me to say she didn't feel comfortable doing my touch up after I said I wouldn't come back. I responded that was fine because she was very unprofessional. She responded to say that I was permanently banned from the shop. That was pretty laughable to me. Like what made her think I would ever come back to her! So, yeah, I'd stay away from Nyce Tattoos!

There were a few other clients when I was there, and everyone was so chill and friendly. Upon entering the shop, I was met with Andy, who was so easy to talk to. We actually ended up having the same birthday! How about that! Meant to be. I booked my appointment with Madison, and she is an absolute doll. Before the appointment, she answered all my questions and was so kind and helpful. Madison was also incredibly patient as I adjusted the tattoo and the placement. She even gave me a lollipop and a squeeze ball to help with nerves, lol. While it wasn't an original design, it came out great. It's text, which can be finicky, but her lines and her work are so clean. I'm in love and feel like a bad b.!!! I'm beyond happy with my experience here. I saw that they won an award for 'best tattoo parlor' for some magazine or something...definitely well deserved!
